1 N outra ocasião ele entrou na sinagoga, e estava ali um homem com uma das mãos atrofiada.

Jesus went into the Jewish place of worship again. A man was there with a dried-up hand.

2 A lguns deles estavam procurando um motivo para acusar Jesus; por isso o observavam atentamente, para ver se ele iria curá-lo no sábado.

The proud religious law-keepers watched Jesus to see if He would heal the man on the Day of Rest. They wanted to have something to say against Jesus.

3 J esus disse ao homem da mão atrofiada: “Levante-se e venha para o meio”.

Jesus said to the man with the dried-up hand, “Stand up.”

4 D epois Jesus lhes perguntou: “O que é permitido fazer no sábado: o bem ou o mal, salvar a vida ou matar?” Mas eles permaneceram em silêncio.

Then Jesus said to the proud religious law-keepers, “Does the Law say to do good on the Day of Rest or to do bad, to save life or to kill?” But they said nothing.

5 I rado, olhou para os que estavam à sua volta e, profundamente entristecido por causa do coração endurecido deles, disse ao homem: “Estenda a mão”. Ele a estendeu, e ela foi restaurada.

Jesus looked around at them with anger. He was sad because of their hard hearts. Then He said to the man, “Put out your hand.” He put it out and his hand was healed. It was as good as the other.

6 E ntão os fariseus saíram e começaram a conspirar com os herodianos contra Jesus, sobre como poderiam matá-lo. Jesus é Procurado por uma Multidão

The proud religious law-keepers went out and made plans with the followers of King Herod how they might kill Jesus. Jesus Heals by the Sea-Shore

7 J esus retirou-se com os seus discípulos para o mar, e uma grande multidão vinda da Galiléia o seguia.

Jesus went with His followers to the sea. Many people followed Him from the countries of Galilee and Judea.

8 Q uando ouviram a respeito de tudo o que ele estava fazendo, muitas pessoas procedentes da Judéia, de Jerusalém, da Iduméia, das regiões do outro lado do Jordão e dos arredores de Tiro e de Sidom foram atrás dele.

They followed from Jerusalem and from the country of Idumea. They came from the other side of the Jordan River and from the cities of Tyre and Sidon. Many people heard all that Jesus was doing and came to Him.

9 P or causa da multidão, ele disse aos discípulos que lhe preparassem um pequeno barco, para evitar que o comprimissem.

He told His followers to have a small boat ready for Him because so many people might push Him down.

10 P ois ele havia curado a muitos, de modo que os que sofriam de doenças ficavam se empurrando para conseguir tocar nele.

He had healed so many that the sick people were pushing in on Him. They were trying to put their hands on Him.

11 S empre que os espíritos imundos o viam, prostravam-se diante dele e gritavam: “Tu és o Filho de Deus”.

When demons saw Him, they got down at His feet and cried out, “You are the Son of God!”

12 M as ele lhes dava ordens severas para que não dissessem quem ele era. A Escolha dos Doze Apóstolos

He spoke strong words that the demons should tell no one Who He was. Jesus Calls His Twelve Followers

13 J esus subiu a um monte e chamou a si aqueles que ele quis, os quais vieram para junto dele.

He went up on a mountain and called those He wanted. They followed Him.

14 E scolheu doze, designando-os apóstolos, para que estivessem com ele, os enviasse a pregar

He picked out twelve followers to be with Him so He might send them out to preach.

15 e tivessem autoridade para expulsar demônios.

They would have the right and the power to heal diseases and to put out demons.

16 E stes são os doze que ele escolheu: Simão, a quem deu o nome de Pedro;

Jesus gave Simon another name, Peter.

17 T iago, filho de Zebedeu, e João, seu irmão, aos quais deu o nome de Boanerges, que significa “filhos do trovão”;

James and John were brothers. They were the sons of Zebedee. He named them Boanerges, which means, The Sons of Thunder.

18 A ndré; Filipe; Bartolomeu; Mateus; Tomé; Tiago, filho de Alfeu; Tadeu; Simão, o zelote;

The others were Andrew, Philip, Bartholomew, Matthew, Thomas, James the son of Alphaeus, Thaddaeus, Simon the Canaanite,

19 e Judas Iscariotes, que o traiu. A Acusação contra Jesus

and Judas Iscariot. Judas was the one who handed Jesus over to be killed. The Family of Jesus Holds Him Back

20 E ntão Jesus entrou numa casa, e novamente reuniu-se ali uma multidão, de modo que ele e os seus discípulos não conseguiam nem comer.

When Jesus came into a house, many people gathered around Him again. Jesus and His followers could not even eat.

21 Q uando seus familiares ouviram falar disso, saíram para trazê-lo à força, pois diziam: “Ele está fora de si”.

When His family heard of it, they went to take Him. They said, “He must be crazy.” A Nation That Cannot Stand

22 E os mestres da lei que haviam descido de Jerusalém diziam: “Ele está com Belzebu! Pelo príncipe dos demônios é que ele expulsa demônios”.

Teachers of the Law came down from Jerusalem. They said, “Jesus has Satan in Him. This Man puts out demons by the king of demons.”

23 E ntão Jesus os chamou e lhes falou por parábolas: “Como pode Satanás expulsar Satanás?

Jesus called them to Him and spoke to them in picture-stories. He said, “How can the devil put out the devil?

24 S e um reino estiver dividido contra si mesmo, não poderá subsistir.

A nation cannot last if it is divided against itself.

25 S e uma casa estiver dividida contra si mesma, também não poderá subsistir.

A family cannot last if it is divided against itself.

26 E se Satanás se opuser a si mesmo e estiver dividido, não poderá subsistir; chegou o seu fim.

If the devil fights against himself and is divided, he cannot last. He will come to an end.

27 D e fato, ninguém pode entrar na casa do homem forte e levar dali os seus bens, sem que antes o amarre. Só então poderá roubar a casa dele.

No man can go into a strong man’s house and take away his things, unless he ties up the strong man first. Only then can he take things from his house.

28 E u lhes asseguro que todos os pecados e blasfêmias dos homens lhes serão perdoados,

For sure, I tell you, all sins will be forgiven people, and bad things they speak against God.

29 m as quem blasfemar contra o Espírito Santo nunca terá perdão: é culpado de pecado eterno”.

But if anyone speaks bad things against the Holy Spirit, he will never be forgiven. He is guilty of a sin that lasts forever.”

30 J esus falou isso porque eles estavam dizendo: “Ele está com um espírito imundo”. A Mãe e os Irmãos de Jesus

Jesus told them this because they said, “He has a demon.” The New Kind of Family

31 E ntão chegaram a mãe e os irmãos de Jesus. Ficando do lado de fora, mandaram alguém chamá-lo.

Then His mother and brothers came and stood outside. They sent for Jesus.

32 H avia muita gente assentada ao seu redor; e lhe disseram: “Tua mãe e teus irmãos estão lá fora e te procuram”.

Many people were sitting around Him. They said, “See! Your mother and brothers are outside looking for You.”

33 “ Quem é minha mãe, e quem são meus irmãos?”, perguntou ele.

He said to them, “Who is My mother or My brothers?”

34 E ntão olhou para os que estavam assentados ao seu redor e disse: “Aqui estão minha mãe e meus irmãos!

He turned to those sitting around Him and said, “See! My mother and My brothers!

35 Q uem faz a vontade de Deus, este é meu irmão, minha irmã e minha mãe”.

Whoever does what My Father wants is My brother and My sister and My mother.”
