2 I n the day of my trouble I seek (inquire of and desperately require) the Lord; in the night my hand is stretched out without slacking up; I refuse to be comforted.

В деня на неволята си търсих Господа, нощем простирах ръката си към Него, без да престана; душата ми не искаше да се утеши.

3 I remember God; I am disquieted and I groan; I muse in prayer, and my spirit faints. Selah!

Спомням си за Бога и се смущавам; оплаквам се и духът ми отпада. (Села.)

4 Y ou hold my eyes from closing; I am so troubled that I cannot speak.

Удържаш очите ми в безсъние; смущавам се дотолкова, че не мога да продумам.

5 I consider the days of old, the years of bygone times.

Размислих за древните дни, за годините на старите времена.

6 I call to remembrance my song in the night; with my heart I meditate and my spirit searches diligently:

Спомням си за нощното си пеене; размишлявам в сърцето си и духът ми загрижено изпитва, като казва:

7 W ill the Lord cast off forever? And will He be favorable no more?

Господ довека ли ще отхвърля? Няма ли вече да покаже благоволение?

8 H ave His mercy and loving-kindness ceased forever? Have His promises ended for all time?

Престанала ли е милостта Му завинаги? Пропада ли обещанието Му завинаги?

9 H as God abandoned or forgotten His graciousness? Has He in anger shut up His compassion? Selah!

Забрави ли Бог да бъде благодатен? Или в гнева Си е затворил Своите благи милости? (Села.)

10 A nd I say, This is my appointed lot and trial, but I will recall the years of the right hand of the Most High, for this is my grief, that the right hand of the Most High changes.

Тогава казах: Това е слабост за мене - да мисля, че десницата на Всевишния се изменя.

11 I will recall the deeds of the Lord; yes, I will remember the wonders of old.

Ще спомена делата Господни; защото ще си спомня чудесата, извършени от Тебе в древността,

12 I will meditate also upon all Your works and consider all Your deeds.

и ще размишлявам върху всичко, което си сторил, и делата Ти ще преговарям.

13 Y our way, O God, is in the sanctuary. Who is a great God like our God?

Боже, в святост е Твоят път; кой бог е велик, както истинският Бог?

14 Y ou are the God Who does wonders; You have demonstrated Your power among the peoples.

Ти си Бог, Който върши чудеса; явил си между племената силата Си.

15 Y ou have with Your arm redeemed Your people, the sons of Jacob and Joseph. Selah!

Изкупил си с мишцата Си народа Си, синовете Яковови и Йосифови. (Села.)

16 W hen the waters saw You, O God, they were afraid; the deep shuddered also, for the waters saw You.

Видяха Те водите, Боже, видяха Те водите и се уплашиха; разтрепериха се и бездните.

17 T he clouds poured down water, the skies sent out a sound; Your arrows went forth.

Облаците изляха поройни води; небесата издадоха глас; също и стрелите Ти прелетяха.

18 T he voice of Your thunder was in the whirlwind, the lightnings illumined the world; the earth trembled and shook.

Гласът на гърма Ти беше във вихрушката; светкавиците осветиха вселената; земята се потресе и се разклати.

19 Y our way was through the sea, and Your paths through the great waters, yet Your footsteps were not traceable, but were obliterated.

През морето беше Твоят път и стъпките Ти - през големите води, и следите Ти не се познаваха.

20 Y ou led Your people like a flock by the hand of Moses and Aaron.

Водил си като стадо народа Си с ръката на Моисей и на Аарон.
