А Йов отговори:

2 H ow you have helped him who is without power! How you have sustained the arm that is without strength!

Каква помощ си дал ти на немощния! Как си спасил безсилната мишца!

3 H ow you have counseled him who has no wisdom! And how plentifully you have declared to him sound knowledge!

Как си съветвал онзи, който няма мъдрост! И какъв здрав разум си изсипал!

4 W ith whose assistance have you uttered these words? And whose spirit came forth from you?

Към кого си отправил думи? И чий дух те е вдъхновявал?

5 T he shades of the dead tremble underneath the waters and their inhabitants.

Пред Него мъртвите треперят - под водите и обитателите им.

6 S heol (the place of the dead) is naked before God, and Abaddon (the place of destruction) has no covering.

Преизподнята е гола пред Него и Авадон няма покрив.

7 H e it is Who spreads out the northern skies over emptiness and hangs the earth upon or over nothing.

Простира севера върху празния простор; окачва земята на нищо.

8 H e holds the waters bound in His clouds, and the cloud is not rent under them.

Връзва водите в облаците Си; но облакът под тях не се разтваря.

9 H e covers the face of His throne and spreads over it His cloud.

Покрива лицето на престола Си, като простира облака Си върху него.

10 H e has placed an enclosing limit upon the waters at the boundary between light and darkness.

Обиколил е водите с граница чак до краищата на светлината и тъмнината.

11 T he pillars of the heavens tremble and are astonished at His rebuke.

Небесните стълбове треперят и се ужасяват от смъмрянето Му.

12 H e stills or stirs up the sea by His power, and by His understanding He smites proud Rahab.

Развълнува морето със силата Си; и с разума Си поразява Рахав.

13 B y His breath the heavens are garnished; His hand pierced the fleeing serpent.

Чрез духа Си украсява небесата; ръката Му пробожда бягащия змей.

14 Y et these are but the outskirts of His ways or the mere fringes of His force, the faintest whisper of His voice! Who dares contemplate or who can understand the thunders of His full, magnificent power?

Ето, тези са само краищата на пътищата Му; и колко малко шепот ни дават да чуем за Него! А гърма на силата Му кой може да разбере?
