1 B ut a certain man named Ananias with his wife Sapphira sold a piece of property,

А някой си човек на име Анания, с жена си Сапфира, продаде имот

2 A nd with his wife’s knowledge and connivance he kept back and wrongfully appropriated some of the proceeds, bringing only a part and putting it at the feet of the apostles.

и задържа нещо от стойността със знанието на жена си; и донесе една част и я сложи пред краката на апостолите.

3 B ut Peter said, Ananias, why has Satan filled your heart that you should lie to and attempt to deceive the Holy Spirit, and should withdraw secretly and appropriate to your own use part of the price from the sale of the land?

А Петър каза: Анания, защо изпълни Сатана сърцето ти, да излъжеш Святия Дух и да задържиш от стойността на нивата?

4 A s long as it remained unsold, was it not still your own? And after it was sold, was not at your disposal and under your control? Why then, is it that you have proposed and purposed in your heart to do this thing? You have not lied to men but to God.

Докато стоеше непродадена, не беше ли твоя? И след като се продаде, не бяха ли парите в твоя власт? Защо си намислил това нещо в сърцето си? Не си излъгал човеци, но Бога.

5 U pon hearing these words, Ananias fell down and died. And great dread and terror took possession of all who heard of it.

И Анания, като слушаше тези думи, падна и издъхна; и голям страх обзе всички, които чуха това.

6 A nd the young men arose and wrapped up and carried it out and buried it.

И по-младите мъже станаха, обвиха го, изнесоха го и го погребаха.

7 N ow after an interval of about three hours his wife came in, not having learned of what had happened.

След като се минаха около три часа, влезе и жена му, без да знае за станалото.

8 A nd Peter said to her, Tell me, did you sell the land for so much? Yes, she said, for so much.

И Петър я попита: Кажи ми, за толкова ли продадохте нивата? А тя отговори: За толкова.

9 T hen Peter said to her, How could you two have agreed and conspired together to try to deceive the Spirit of the Lord? Listen! The feet of those who have buried your husband are at the door, and they will carry you out.

А Петър ѝ каза: Защо се наговорихте да изпитате Господния Дух? Ето, краката на тези, които погребаха мъжа ти, са на вратата и ще изнесат и теб.

10 A nd instantly she fell down at his feet and died; and the young men entering found her dead, and they carried her out and buried her beside her husband.

И тя начаса падна до краката му и издъхна; а младежите, като влязоха, намериха я мъртва, изнесоха я и я погребаха до мъжа ѝ.

11 A nd the whole church and all others who heard of these things were appalled.

И голям страх обзе цялата църква и всички, които чуха това. Други чудеса на апостолите

12 N ow by the hands of the apostles (special messengers) numerous and startling signs and wonders were being performed among the people. And by common consent they all met together in the covered porch (walk) called Solomon’s.

И чрез ръцете на апостолите ставаха много знамения и чудеса между народа (и те всички бяха заедно в Соломоновия притвор;

13 A nd none of those who were not of their number dared to join and associate with them, but the people held them in high regard and praised and made much of them.

а от другите никой не смееше да се присъедини към тях; народът обаче ги величаеше;

14 M ore and more there were being added to the Lord those who believed, crowds both of men and of women,

и още по-голямо множество повярвали в Господа мъже и жени се присъединяваха),

15 S o that they kept carrying out the sick into the streets and placing them on couches and sleeping pads, that as Peter passed by, at least his shadow might fall on some of them.

така че даже изнасяха болните по улиците и ги слагаха на постелки и на легла, така че когато минава Петър, поне сянката му да засегне някого от тях.

16 A nd the people gathered also from the towns and hamlets around Jerusalem, bringing the sick and those troubled with foul spirits, and they were all cured.

Събираше се още и множество от градовете около Йерусалим, които носеха болни и измъчваните от нечисти духове; и всички се изцеляваха. Апостолите пред Синедриона

17 B ut the high priest rose up and all who were his supporters, that is, the party of the Sadducees, and being filled with jealousy and indignation and rage,

Тогава станаха първосвещеникът и всички, които бяха с него, които съставляват садукейската секта, и, изпълнени със завист,

18 T hey seized and arrested the apostles (special messengers) and put them in the public jail.

сложиха ръце на апостолите и ги хвърлиха в общата тъмница.

19 B ut during the night an angel of the Lord opened the prison doors and, leading them out, said,

Но ангел от Господа през нощта отвори вратата на тъмницата и като ги изведе, им каза:

20 G o, take your stand in the temple courts and declare to the people the whole doctrine concerning this Life (the eternal life which Christ revealed).

Идете, застанете в храма и говорете на народа всички думи на този вечен живот.

21 A nd when they heard this, they accordingly went into the temple about daybreak and began to teach. Now the high priest and his supporters who were with him arrived and called together the council (Sanhedrin), even all the senate of the sons of Israel, and they sent to the prison to have brought.

Те, като чуха това, на разсъмване влязоха в храма и поучаваха. А първосвещеникът дойде и онези, които бяха с него, и като свикаха Синедриона и всички старейшини на израелтяните, пратиха в тъмницата да доведат апостолите.

22 B ut when the attendants arrived there, they failed to find them in the jail; so they came back and reported,

Но служителите, като отидоха, не ги намериха в тъмницата; върнаха се и известиха:

23 W e found the prison quite safely locked up and the guards were on duty outside the doors, but when we opened, we found no one on the inside.

Намерихме тъмницата заключена много здраво и стражарите да стоят при вратата; но като отворихме, не намерихме никого вътре.

24 N ow when the military leader of the temple area and the chief priests heard these facts, they were much perplexed and thoroughly at a loss about them, wondering into what this might grow.

А началникът на храмовата стража и главните свещеници, като чуха тези думи, бяха в недоумение поради тях и се чудеха какво ще последва от това.

25 B ut some man came and reported to them, saying, Listen! The men whom you put in jail are standing in the temple and teaching the people!

Но дойде някой си и им извести: Ето, човеците, които хвърлихте в тъмницата, стоят в храма и поучават народа.

26 T hen the military leader went with the attendants and brought, but without violence, for they dreaded the people lest they be stoned by them.

Тогава началникът отиде със служителите и ги доведе, обаче без насилие, защото се бояха от народа, да не би да ги замерват с камъни.

27 S o they brought them and set them before the council (Sanhedrin). And the high priest examined them by questioning,

И като ги доведоха, поставиха ги пред Синедриона; и първосвещеникът ги попита:

28 S aying, We definitely commanded and strictly charged you not to teach in or about this Name; yet here you have flooded Jerusalem with your doctrine and you intend to bring this Man’s blood upon us.

Строго ви забранихме да поучавате в това име; но ето, изпълнили сте Йерусалим с учението си и възнамерявате да докарате върху нас кръвта на този Човек.

29 T hen Peter and the apostles replied, We must obey God rather than men.

А Петър и апостолите отговориха: Подобава да се покоряваме на Бога, а не на човеците.

30 T he God of our forefathers raised up Jesus, Whom you killed by hanging Him on a tree (cross).

Бог на бащите ни възкреси Исус, Когото вие убихте, като Го окачихте на дърво.

31 G od exalted Him to His right hand to be Prince and Leader and Savior and Deliverer and Preserver, in order to grant repentance to Israel and to bestow forgiveness and release from sins.

Него Бог въздигна отдясно на Себе Си за Началник и Спасител, да даде покаяние на Израел и прощение на греховете.

32 A nd we are witnesses of these things, and the Holy Spirit is also, Whom God has bestowed on those who obey Him.

И ние сме Негови свидетели за тези неща, както и Святият Дух, Когото Бог даде на онези, които Му се покоряват.

33 N ow when they heard this, they were cut to the heart and infuriated and wanted to kill the disciples.

А те, като чуха това, късаха се от яд и възнамеряваха да ги убият. Съветът на Гамалиил

34 B ut a certain Pharisee in the council (Sanhedrin) named Gamaliel, a teacher of the Law, highly esteemed by all the people, standing up, ordered that the apostles be taken outside for a little while.

Но един фарисей на име Гамалиил, законоучител, почитан от целия народ, се изправи в Синедриона и заповяда да изведат апостолите навън за малко време;

35 T hen he addressed them: Men of Israel, take care in regard to what you propose to do concerning these men.

и каза на събранието: Израелтяни, внимавайте добре какво ще направите на тези човеци.

36 F or before our time there arose Theudas, asserting himself to be a person of importance, with whom a number of men allied themselves, about 400; but he was killed and all who had listened to and adhered to him were scattered and brought to nothing.

Защото в миналото въстана Тевда и се представяше за голям човек, и към него се присъединиха около четиристотин мъже на брой; той бе убит и всички, които му се подчиниха, се разпиляха и изчезнаха.

37 A nd after this one rose up Judas the Galilean, during the time of the census, and drew away a popular following after him; he also perished and all his adherents were scattered.

След него въстана галилеянинът Юда по време на преброяването и отвлече след себе си някои от народа; и той загина и всички, които му се покоряваха, се разпръснаха.

38 N ow in the present case let me say to you, stand off (withdraw) from these men and let them alone. For if this doctrine or purpose or undertaking or movement is of human origin, it will fail (be overthrown and come to nothing);

И сега ви казвам: отдръпнете се от тези човеци и ги оставете, защото ако това намерение или това дело е от човеци, ще пропадне;

39 B ut if it is of God, you will not be able to stop or overthrow or destroy them; you might even be found fighting against God!

но ако е от Бога, няма да можете да го опропастите. Пазете се да не би да се окажете и противници на Бога.

40 S o, convinced by him, they took his advice; and summoning the apostles, they flogged them and sternly forbade them to speak in or about the name of Jesus, and allowed them to go.

И те го послушаха; и като повикаха апостолите, бичуваха ги и им заръчаха да не говорят в Исусовото име, и ги пуснаха.

41 S o they went out from the presence of the council (Sanhedrin), rejoicing that they were being counted worthy to suffer shame and be exposed to disgrace for His name.

А те си отидоха от Синедриона, радостни, че бяха удостоени да претърпят опозоряване за Исусовото име.

42 Y et they never ceased for a single day, both in the temple area and at home, to teach and to proclaim the good news (Gospel) of Jesus the Christ (the Messiah).

И нито един ден не преставаха да поучават и да благовестват и в храма, и по къщите, че Исус е Христос.
