2 E n presencia de Efraín, de Benjamín y de Manasés, ¡manifiesta tu poder y ven a salvarnos!

Before Ephraim, and Benjamin, and Manasseh, Wake up Thy might, and come for our salvation.

3 ¡ Restáuranos, Dios nuestro! ¡Haz resplandecer tu rostro, y seremos salvados!

O God, cause us to turn back, And cause Thy face to shine, and we are saved.

4 S eñor, Dios de los ejércitos, ¿hasta cuándo te mostrarás indignado contra la oración de tu pueblo?

Jehovah, God of Hosts, till when? Thou hast burned against the prayer of Thy people.

5 N os has dado a comer lágrimas en vez de pan; nos has hecho beber lágrimas en abundancia.

Thou hast caused them to eat bread of tears, And causest them to drink With tears a third time.

6 N os has puesto en ridículo ante nuestros vecinos; nuestros enemigos se burlan de nosotros.

Thou makest us a strife to our neighbors, And our enemies mock at it.

7 ¡ Restáuranos, Dios de los ejércitos! ¡Haz resplandecer tu rostro, y seremos salvados!

God of Hosts, turn us back, And cause Thy face to shine, and we are saved.

8 D esde Egipto trajiste una vid; expulsaste a las naciones, y la plantaste.

A vine out of Egypt Thou dost bring, Thou dost cast out nations, and plantest it.

9 L impiaste el terreno delante de ella, hiciste que echara raíces, y ésta llenó la tierra.

Thou hast looked before it, and dost root it, And it filleth the land,

10 L os montes se cubrieron con su sombra; los cedros de Dios se cubrieron con sus sarmientos.

Covered have been hills its shadow, And its boughs cedars of God.

11 Y la vid extendió sus vástagos y sus renuevos hasta el mar, y hasta el gran río.

It sendeth forth its branches unto the sea, And unto the river its sucklings.

12 ¿ Por qué derribaste sus cercas? ¡Todos los que pasan le arrancan uvas!

Why hast Thou broken down its hedges, And all passing by the way have plucked it?

13 ¡ Los jabalíes le hacen destrozos! ¡Las bestias salvajes la devoran!

A boar out of the forest doth waste it, And a wild beast of the fields consumeth it.

14 D ios de los ejércitos, ¡vuélvete a nosotros! Desde el cielo dígnate mirarnos, y reconsidera; ¡ven y ayuda a esta viña!

God of Hosts, turn back, we beseech Thee, Look from heaven, and see, and inspect this vine,

15 ¡ Es la viña que plantaste con tu diestra! ¡Es el renuevo que sembraste para ti!

And the root that Thy right hand planted, And the branch Thou madest strong for Thee,

16 ¡ La han cortado! ¡Le han prendido fuego! ¡Déjate ver, y repréndelos, para que perezcan!

Burnt with fire -- cut down, From the rebuke of Thy face they perish.

17 P ero posa tu mano sobre tu hombre elegido, sobre el hombre al que has dado tu poder.

Let Thy hand be on the man of Thy right hand, On the son of man Thou hast strengthened for Thyself.

18 A sí no nos apartaremos de ti. Tú nos darás vida, y nosotros invocaremos tu nombre.

And we do not go back from Thee, Thou dost revive us, and in Thy name we call.

19 S eñor, Dios de los ejércitos, ¡restáuranos! ¡Haz resplandecer tu rostro, y seremos salvados!

O Jehovah, God of Hosts, turn us back, Cause Thy face to shine, and we are saved!
