1 D espués me mostró un río límpido, de agua de vida. Era resplandeciente como el cristal, y salía del trono de Dios y del Cordero.

And he shewed me a pure river of water of life, bright as crystal, going forth out of the throne of God and of the Lamb:

2 E n medio de la calle de la ciudad, y a cada lado del río, estaba el árbol de la vida, el cual produce doce frutos y da su fruto cada mes; las hojas del árbol eran para la sanidad de las naciones.

in the midst of its broad place, and of the river on this side and on that, a tree of life, yielding twelve fruits, in each several month rendering its fruits, and the leaves of the tree for the service of the nations;

3 A llí no habrá maldición. El trono de Dios y del Cordero estará en medio de ella, y sus siervos lo adorarán

and any curse there shall not be any more, and the throne of God and of the Lamb shall be in it, and His servants shall serve Him,

4 y verán su rostro, y llevarán su nombre en la frente.

and they shall see His face, and His name upon their foreheads,

5 A llí no volverá a haber noche; no hará falta la luz de ninguna lámpara ni la luz del sol, porque Dios el Señor los iluminará. Y reinarán por los siglos de los siglos. La inminente venida de Cristo

and night shall not be there, and they have no need of a lamp and light of a sun, because the Lord God doth give them light, and they shall reign -- to the ages of the ages.

6 Y me dijo: «Estas palabras son fieles y verdaderas. El Señor, el Dios de los espíritus de los profetas, ya ha enviado a su ángel para que les muestre a sus siervos lo que pronto tiene que suceder.»

And he said to me, `These words stedfast and true, and the Lord God of the holy prophets did send His messenger to shew to His servants the things that it behoveth to come quickly:

7 « ¡Vengo pronto! ¡Dichoso el que obedece las palabras proféticas de este libro!»

Lo, I come quickly; happy he who is keeping the words of the prophecy of this scroll.'

8 Y o, Juan, soy quien vio y oyó estas cosas. Después de verlas y oírlas, me postré a los pies del ángel que me mostraba estas cosas, para adorarlo,

And I, John, am he who is seeing these things and hearing, and when I heard and beheld, I fell down to bow before the feet of the messenger who is shewing me these things;

9 p ero él me dijo: «¡No lo hagas! Yo soy consiervo tuyo y de tus hermanos los profetas, y de los que obedecen las palabras de este libro. ¡Tú, adora a Dios!»

and he saith to me, `See -- not; for fellow-servant of thee am I, and of thy brethren the prophets, and of those keeping the words of this scroll; before God bow.'

10 Y me dijo también: «No selles las palabras proféticas de este libro, porque el tiempo está cerca.

And he saith to me, `Thou mayest not seal the words of the prophecy of this scroll, because the time is nigh;

11 D eja que quien sea injusto, siga siendo injusto; que quien sea impuro, siga siendo impuro; que quien sea justo, siga practicando la justicia; y que quien sea santo, siga santificándose.»

he who is unrighteous -- let him be unrighteous still, and he who is filthy -- let him be filthy still, and he who is righteous -- let him be declared righteous still, and he who is sanctified -- let him be sanctified still:

12 « ¡Miren! ¡Ya pronto vengo! Y traigo conmigo mi galardón, para recompensar a cada uno conforme a sus acciones.

And lo, I come quickly, and my reward with me, to render to each as his work shall be;

13 Y o soy el Alfa y la Omega, el principio y el fin, el primero y el último.»

I am the Alpha and the Omega -- the Beginning and End -- the First and the Last.

14 B ienaventurados los que lavan sus ropas, para tener derecho al árbol de la vida y para entrar por las puertas en la ciudad.

`Happy are those doing His commands that the authority shall be theirs unto the tree of the life, and by the gates they may enter into the city;

15 P ero afuera se quedarán los pervertidos, los hechiceros, los que han caído en la inmoralidad sexual, los homicidas, los idólatras, y todo aquel que ama y practica la mentira.

and without the dogs, and the sorcerers, and the whoremongers, and the murderers, and the idolaters, and every one who is loving and is doing a lie.

16 « Yo, Jesús, he enviado a mi ángel para que les dé a ustedes testimonio acerca de estas cosas, que tratan de las iglesias. Yo soy la raíz y el linaje de David, la estrella resplandeciente de la mañana.»

`I, Jesus did send my messenger to testify to you these things concerning the assemblies; I am the root and the offspring of David, the bright and morning star!

17 Y el Espíritu y la Esposa dicen: «¡Ven!» Y el que oiga, que diga: «¡Ven!» Y el que tenga sed, que venga; y el que quiera, que tome gratuitamente del agua de la vida.

And the Spirit and the Bride say, Come; and he who is hearing -- let him say, Come; and he who is thirsting -- let him come; and he who is willing -- let him take the water of life freely.

18 Y o le advierto a todo aquel que oiga las palabras proféticas de este libro, que a quien añada algo a estas cosas, Dios le añadirá las plagas que están descritas en este libro.

`For I testify to every one hearing the words of the prophecy of this scroll, if any one may add unto these, God shall add to him the plagues that have been written in this scroll,

19 Y a quien quite algo de las palabras de este libro profético, Dios le quitará su parte del árbol de la vida, y de la santa ciudad y de lo que está descrito en este libro.

and if any one may take away from the words of the scroll of this prophecy, God shall take away his part from the scroll of the life, and out of the holy city, and the things that have been written in this scroll;'

20 E l que da testimonio de estas cosas dice: «Ciertamente, vengo pronto.» Amén. ¡Ven, Señor Jesús!

he saith -- who is testifying these things -- `Yes, I come quickly!' Amen! Yes, be coming, Lord Jesus!

21 Q ue la gracia del Señor Jesucristo sea con todos. Amén.
