1 L uego el ángel me mostró al sumo sacerdote Josué, que estaba delante del ángel del Señor. A su mano derecha estaba Satanás, dispuesto a acusarlo.

And he sheweth me Joshua the high priest standing before the messenger of Jehovah, and the Adversary standing at his right hand, to be an adversary to him.

2 P ero el Señor le dijo a Satanás: «Yo soy el Señor, y te reprendo a ti, Satanás. Yo he escogido a Jerusalén, y a este hombre lo he rescatado del fuego como a un tizón. Por eso yo, el Señor, te reprendo.»

And Jehovah saith unto the Adversary: `Jehovah doth push against thee, O Adversary, Yea, push against thee doth Jehovah, Who is fixing on Jerusalem, Is not this a brand delivered from fire?'

3 C omo Josué estaba delante del ángel, y su ropa estaba muy sucia,

And Joshua was clothed with filthy garments, and is standing before the messenger.

4 e l ángel ordenó a los que estaban a su servicio: «¡Quítenle esa ropa tan sucia!» Y a Josué le dijo: «Date cuenta de que ya te he limpiado de tu pecado, y de que te he vestido con ropas de gala.»

And he answereth and speaketh unto those standing before him, saying: `Turn aside the filthy garments from off him.' And he saith unto him, `See, I have caused thine iniquity to pass away from off thee, so as to clothe thee with costly apparel.'

5 D espués dijo: «Pongan en su cabeza una mitra limpia.» Y se le puso una mitra limpia en la cabeza, y se le vistió con ropas de gala. Mientras tanto, el ángel del Señor seguía de pie.

He also said, `Let them set a pure diadem on his head. And they set the pure diadem on his head, and clothe him with garments. And the messenger of Jehovah is standing,

6 L uego, el ángel del Señor amonestó a Josué y le dijo:

and the messenger of Jehovah doth protest to Joshua, saying:

7 « Así dice el Señor de los ejércitos: “Si andas por mis caminos, y cumples con mis ordenanzas, también tú gobernarás mi casa y quedarás a cargo de mis atrios, y te daré un lugar entre los que están aquí.

`Thus said Jehovah of Hosts: If in My ways thou dost walk, And if My charge thou dost keep, Then also thou dost judge My house, And also thou dost keep My courts, And I have given to thee conductors among these standing by.

8 A sí que escúchame bien, Josué, como sumo sacerdote que eres, lo mismo que tus amigos que se sientan delante de ti, y que son una señal prodigiosa. Voy a hacer que venga mi siervo, el Renuevo.

Hear, I pray thee, Joshua, the high priest, Thou and thy companions sitting before thee, (For men of type they,) For lo, I am bringing in My servant -- a Shoot.

9 F íjate en la piedra que he puesto ante ti; como puedes ver, tiene siete ojos; voy a poner en ella una inscripción, y en un solo día borraré de la tierra el pecado. —Palabra del Señor de los ejércitos.

For lo, the stone that I put before Joshua, On one stone seven eyes, Lo, I am graving its graving, An affirmation of Jehovah of Hosts, And I have removed the iniquity of that land in one day.

10 ” Cuando llegue ese día, cada uno de ustedes invitará a sus amigos a sentarse debajo de su vid y de su higuera.”» —Palabra del Señor de los ejércitos.

In that day -- an affirmation of Jehovah of Hosts, Ye do call, each unto his neighbour, Unto the place of the vine, And unto the place of the fig-tree!'
