1 P raise the Lord! Praise the Lord, O my soul!

Aleluya. ALABA, oh alma mía, á Jehová.

2 I will praise the Lord as long as I live. I will sing praises to my God as long as I live.

Alabaré á Jehová en mi vida: Cantaré salmos á mi Dios mientras viviere.

3 D o not put your trust in princes, in a son of a man, who cannot save us.

No confiéis en los príncipes, Ni en hijo de hombre, porque no hay en él salud.

4 W hen his spirit leaves, he returns to the earth. His thoughts end on that day.

Saldrá su espíritu, tornaráse en su tierra: En aquel día perecerán sus pensamientos.

5 H appy is he whose help is the God of Jacob, and whose hope is in the Lord his God.

Bienaventurado aquel en cuya ayuda es el Dios de Jacob, Cuya esperanza es en Jehová su Dios:

6 T he Lord made heaven and earth, the sea and all that is in them. He is faithful forever.

El cual hizo los cielos y la tierra, La mar, y todo lo que en ellos hay; Que guarda verdad para siempre;

7 H e helps those who have a bad power over them. He gives food to the hungry. And He sets those in prison free.

Que hace derecho á los agraviados; Que da pan á los hambrientos: Jehová suelta á los aprisionados;

8 T he Lord opens the eyes of the blind. The Lord raises up those who are brought down. The Lord loves those who are right and good.

Jehová abre los ojos á los ciegos; Jehová levanta á los caídos; Jehová ama á los justos.

9 T he Lord keeps the strangers safe. He takes care of the children who have no father and the woman whose husband has died. But He destroys the way of the sinful.

Jehová guarda á los extranjeros; Al huérfano y á la viuda levanta; Y el camino de los impíos trastorna.

10 T he Lord will rule forever. Your God, O Zion, will rule over all people for all time. Praise the Lord!

Reinará Jehová para siempre; Tu Dios, oh Sión, por generación y generación. Aleluya.
