1 S omething very special was seen in heaven. A woman was there dressed with the sun. The moon was under her feet. A crown with twelve stars in it was on her head.
Y UNA grande señal apareció en el cielo: una mujer vestida del sol, y la luna debajo de sus pies, y sobre su cabeza una corona de doce estrellas.
2 S he was about to become a mother. She cried out with pain waiting for the child to be born.
Y estando preñada, clamaba con dolores de parto, y sufría tormento por parir.
3 S omething else special was seen in heaven. A large dragon was there. It was red and had seven heads and ten horns. There was a crown on each head.
Y fué vista otra señal en el cielo: y he aquí un grande dragón bermejo, que tenía siete cabezas y diez cuernos, y en sus cabezas siete diademas.
4 W ith his tail he pulled one-third part of the stars out of heaven. He threw them down to the earth. This dragon stood in front of the woman as she was about to give birth to her child. He was waiting to eat her child as soon as it was born.
Y su cola arrastraba la tercera parte de las estrellas del cielo, y las echó en tierra. Y el dragón se paró delante de la mujer que estaba para parir, á fin de devorar á su hijo cuando hubiese parido.
5 T hen the woman gave birth to a son. He is to be the leader of the world using a piece of iron. But this child was taken away to God and His throne.
Y ella parió un hijo varón, el cual había de regir todas las gentes con vara de hierro: y su hijo fué arrebatado para Dios y á su trono.
6 T he woman ran away into the desert. God had made the place ready for her. He will care for her there 1, 260 days. War in Heaven
Y la mujer huyó al desierto, donde tiene lugar aparejado de Dios, para que allí la mantengan mil doscientos y sesenta días.
7 T hen there was war in heaven. Michael and his angels fought against this dragon. This animal and his angels fought back.
Y fué hecha una grande batalla en el cielo: Miguel y sus ángeles lidiaban contra el dragón; y lidiaba el dragón y sus ángeles.
8 B ut the dragon was not strong enough to win. There was no more room in heaven for them.
Y no prevalecieron, ni su lugar fué más hallado en el cielo.
9 T he dragon was thrown down to earth from heaven. This animal is the old snake. He is also called the Devil or Satan. He is the one who has fooled the whole world. He was thrown down to earth and his angels were thrown down with him.
Y fué lanzado fuera aquel gran dragón, la serpiente antigua, que se llama Diablo y Satanás, el cual engaña á todo el mundo; fué arrojado en tierra, y sus ángeles fueron arrojados con él.
10 T hen I heard a loud voice in heaven saying, “Now God has saved from the punishment of sin! God’s power as King has come! God’s holy nation has come! God’s Christ is here with power! The one who spoke against our Christian brothers has been thrown down to earth. He stood before God speaking against them day and night.
Y oí una grande voz en el cielo que decía: Ahora ha venido la salvación, y la virtud, y el reino de nuestro Dios, y el poder de su Cristo; porque el acusador de nuestros hermanos ha sido arrojado, el cual los acusaba delante de nuestro Dios día y noche.
11 T hey had power over him and won because of the blood of the Lamb and by telling what He had done for them. They did not love their lives but were willing to die.
Y ellos le han vencido por la sangre del Cordero, y por la palabra de su testimonio; y no han amado sus vidas hasta la muerte.
12 F or this reason, O heavens and you who are there, be full of joy. It is bad for you, O earth and sea. For the devil has come down to you. He is very angry because he knows he has only a short time.” War on Earth
Por lo cual alegraos, cielos, y los que moráis en ellos. Ay de los moradores de la tierra y del mar! porque el diablo ha descendido á vosotros, teniendo grande ira, sabiendo que tiene poco tiempo.
13 W hen the dragon which is the devil saw that he had been thrown down to the earth, he began to hunt for the woman who had given birth to the boy baby.
Y cuando vió el dragón que él había sido arrojado á la tierra, persiguió á la mujer que había parido al hijo varón.
14 T he woman was given two wings like the wings of a very large bird so she could fly to her place in the desert. She was to be cared for there and kept safe from the snake, which is the devil, for three-and one-half years.
Y fueron dadas á la mujer dos alas de grande águila, para que de la presencia de la serpiente volase al desierto, á su lugar, donde es mantenida por un tiempo, y tiempos, y la mitad de un tiempo.
15 T hen the snake spit water from his mouth so the woman might be carried away with a flood.
Y la serpiente echó de su boca tras la mujer agua como un río, á fin de hacer que fuese arrebatada del río.
16 T he earth helped the woman by opening its mouth. It drank in the flood of water that this dragon spit from his mouth.
Y la tierra ayudó á la mujer, y la tierra abrió su boca, y sorbió el río que había echado el dragón de su boca.
17 T his dragon was very angry with the woman. He went off to fight with the rest of her children. They are the ones who obey the Laws of God and are faithful to the teachings of Jesus.
Entonces el dragón fué airado contra la mujer; y se fué á hacer guerra contra los otros de la simiente de ella, los cuales guardan los mandamientos de Dios, y tienen el testimonio de Jesucristo.
