1 T he Word of the Lord came to me, saying,

La parola del Signore mi fu ancora rivolta in questi termini:

2 “ Son of man, you live among sinful people. They have eyes to see but do not see, and ears to hear but do not hear. For they are sinful people.

«Figlio d’uomo, tu abiti in mezzo a una casa ribelle che ha occhi per vedere e non vede, orecchi per udire e non ode, perché è una casa ribelle.

3 S o, son of man, get your things ready to take with you to another land, and let them see you leave during the day. Let them see you leave to go to another place. It may be that they will understand even if they are sinful people.

Perciò, figlio d’uomo, prepàrati un bagaglio da esiliato e parti di giorno, in loro presenza, come se tu andassi in esilio; parti, in loro presenza, dal luogo dove tu sei, per un altro luogo; forse vi porranno mente, perché sono una casa ribelle.

4 T ake your things with you during the day, with them watching you. Take the things you will need for going to another land. Then let them see you go out at evening, like those who go to another land.

Metti dunque fuori, di giorno, in loro presenza, il tuo bagaglio, simile a quello di chi va in esilio; poi la sera, esci tu stesso, in loro presenza, come fanno quelli che se ne vanno esuli.

5 W hile they watch, dig a hole through the wall and go out through it.

Fa’, in loro presenza, un foro nel muro, e attraverso di esso porta fuori il tuo bagaglio.

6 L oad your things on your shoulder while they watch, and carry the load out in the dark. Cover your face so that you cannot see the land. For I have made you as something special for the people of Israel to see.”

Portalo sulle spalle, in loro presenza; portalo fuori quando farà buio; copriti la faccia per non vedere la terra, perché io faccio di te un segno per la casa d’Israele».

7 I did as I was told. During the day I brought out my things that I would need to go to another land. Then in the evening I dug through the wall with my hands. I went out in the dark and carried the load on my shoulder while they watched.

Io feci così come mi era stato comandato: portai fuori di giorno il mio bagaglio, bagaglio di esiliato, e sulla sera feci con le mie mani un foro nel muro; quando fu buio portai fuori il bagaglio e me lo misi sulle spalle in loro presenza.

8 I n the morning the Word of the Lord came to me, saying,

La mattina la parola del Signore mi fu rivolta in questi termini:

9 “ Son of man, have not the sinful people of Israel said to you, ‘What are you doing?’

«Figlio d’uomo, la casa d’Israele, questa casa ribelle, non ti ha chiesto: “Che fai?”

10 T ell them, ‘This is what the Lord God says: “This word is about the leader in Jerusalem, as well as all the people of Israel who are in it.”’

Di’ loro: Così parla il Signore, Dio: “Quest’oracolo concerne il principe che è in Gerusalemme e tutta la casa d’Israele di cui essi fanno parte.

11 T ell them, ‘I am something special for you to see. As I have done, so it will be done to them. They will be taken to another land and held there.’

Di’: ‘Io sono per voi un segno; come ho fatto io, così sarà fatto a loro: essi andranno in esilio, in schiavitù’.

12 T he leader among them will load his things on his shoulder in the dark and go out. A hole will be dug through the wall for him to go through. He will cover his face so that he cannot see the land with his eyes.

Il principe che è in mezzo a loro porterà il suo bagaglio sulle spalle quando farà buio, e partirà; si farà un foro nel muro per farlo uscire di là, ed egli si coprirà la faccia per non vedere con i suoi occhi la terra.

13 I will spread My net over him, and he will be caught in My trap. I will bring him to Babylon in the land of the Babylonians, yet he will not see it. And he will die there.

Io stenderò su di lui la mia rete, egli sarà preso nel mio laccio; lo deporterò a Babilonia, nella terra dei Caldei, ma egli non la vedrà, e laggiù morrà.

14 I will divide all his helpers and all his army who are around him to the four winds and have the sword follow them.

Io disperderò a tutti i venti quelli che lo circondano per aiutarlo, tutti i suoi eserciti, e sguainerò la spada dietro a loro.

15 T hen they will know that I am the Lord when I divide them among the nations, and spread them among the countries.

Essi conosceranno che io sono il Signore, quando li avrò sparsi fra le nazioni e dispersi nei paesi stranieri.

16 B ut I will let a few of them get away from the sword, hunger and disease. They will tell about all their sinful ways to the nations where they go. And they will know that I am the Lord.”

Ma lascerò di loro alcuni pochi uomini scampati dalla spada, dalla fame e dalla peste, affinché raccontino tutte le loro abominazioni fra le nazioni dove saranno giunti; conosceranno che io sono il Signore ”».

17 T he Word of the Lord came to me, saying,

La parola del Signore mi fu ancora rivolta, in questi termini:

18 “ Son of man, shake in fear as you eat your bread and drink your water.

«Figlio d’uomo, mangia il tuo pane con tremore, bevi la tua acqua con preoccupazione e angoscia;

19 T hen tell the people of the land, ‘This is what the Lord God says about the people of Jerusalem in the land of Israel: “They will be afraid as they eat their bread, and drink their water in fear. For their land will lay waste because of the fighting of all who live in it.

di’ al popolo del paese: Così parla il Signore, Dio, riguardo agli abitanti di Gerusalemme nella terra d’Israele: “Mangeranno il loro pane con angoscia e berranno la loro acqua con spavento, poiché il loro paese sarà desolato, spogliato di tutto ciò che contiene, a causa della violenza di tutti quelli che l’abitano.

20 T he cities where people live will be laid waste, and the land will be destroyed. Then you will know that I am the Lord.”’”

Le città abitate saranno ridotte in rovina e il paese sarà desolato; e voi conoscerete che io sono il Signore ”».

21 T he Word of the Lord came to me, saying,

La parola del Signore mi fu rivolta in questi termini:

22 “ Son of man, what is this saying you people have about the land of Israel, which says, ‘The days are long and every special dream comes to nothing’?

«Figlio d’uomo: che proverbio è questo che voi ripetete nel paese d’Israele quando dite: “Passano i giorni e ogni visione si è dimostrata vana”?

23 T ell them, ‘The Lord God says, “I will make this saying come to an end, so that they will no longer use it as a saying in Israel.’” But tell them, ‘The days are near when all the special dreams from God will come true.

Perciò di’ loro: Così parla il Signore, Dio: “Io farò cessare questo proverbio, non lo si ripeterà più in Israele”; di’ loro, invece: “Si avvicinano i giorni in cui si realizzerà ogni visione;

24 F or there will be no more false dreams or good sounding words that do not come true.

poiché nessuna visione sarà più vana, né vi sarà più divinazione ingannevole in mezzo alla casa d’Israele.

25 F or I the Lord will speak, and whatever I say will be done. It will no longer be held back. For in your days, O sinful people, I will speak the word and do it,’ says the Lord God.”

Io, infatti, sono il Signore; qualunque sia la parola che avrò detta, essa sarà messa ad effetto, e non sarà più rinviata; poiché nei vostri giorni, casa ribelle, io pronuncerò una parola e la metterò a effetto”, dice il Signore, Dio ».

26 A gain the Word of the Lord came to me, saying,

La parola del Signore mi fu ancora rivolta in questi termini:

27 “ Son of man, the people of Israel are saying, ‘The special dream he sees will not come to pass for many years. He is speaking of times far in the future.’

«Figlio d’uomo, ecco, quelli della casa d’Israele dicono: “La visione che ha costui riguarda giorni futuri, egli profetizza per tempi lontani”.

28 S o tell them, ‘The Lord God says, “None of My words will be held back any longer. Whatever I say will be done,’” says the Lord God.”

Perciò di’ loro: Così parla il Signore, Dio: “Nessuna delle mie parole sarà più rinviata; la parola che avrò pronunciata sarà messa ad effetto”, dice il Signore, Dio ».
