1 P or tanto, hermanos santos, participantes del llamamiento celestial, considerad a Jesús, el Apóstol y Sumo Sacerdote de nuestra fe.

Therefore, holy brothers, partakers of a heavenly calling, consider the Apostle and High Priest of our confession, Jesus;

2 E l cual fue fiel al que le designó, como también lo fue Moisés en toda la casa de Dios.

who was faithful to him who appointed him, as also was Moses in all his house.

3 P orque El ha sido considerado digno de más gloria que Moisés, así como el constructor de la casa tiene más honra que la casa.

For he has been counted worthy of more glory than Moses, because he who built the house has more honor than the house.

4 P orque toda casa es hecha por alguno, pero el que hace todas las cosas es Dios.

For every house is built by someone; but he who built all things is God.

5 Y Moisés fue fiel en toda la casa de Dios como siervo, para testimonio de lo que se iba a decir más tarde;

Moses indeed was faithful in all his house as a servant, for a testimony of those things which were afterward to be spoken,

6 p ero Cristo fue fiel como Hijo sobre la casa de Dios, cuya casa somos nosotros, si retenemos firme hasta el fin nuestra confianza y la gloria de nuestra esperanza.

but Christ is faithful as a Son over his house; whose house we are, if we hold fast our confidence and the glorying of our hope firm to the end.

7 P or lo cual, como dice el Espíritu Santo: Si ois hoy su voz,

Therefore, even as the Holy Spirit says, “Today if you will hear his voice,

8 n o endurezcais vuestros corazones, como en la provocacion, como en el dia de la prueba en el desierto,

don’t harden your hearts, as in the rebellion, like as in the day of the trial in the wilderness,

9 d onde vuestros padres me tentaron al poner me a prueba, y vieron mis obras por cuarenta años.

where your fathers tested me by proving me, and saw my deeds for forty years.

10 P or lo cual me disguste con aquella generacion, y dije: “siempre se desvian en su corazon, y no han conocido mis caminos ”;

Therefore I was displeased with that generation, and said, ‘They always err in their heart, but they didn’t know my ways;’

11 c omo jure en mi ira: “ No entraran en mi reposo.”

as I swore in my wrath, ‘They will not enter into my rest.’”

12 T ened cuidado, hermanos, no sea que en alguno de vosotros haya un corazón malo de incredulidad, para apartarse del Dios vivo.

Beware, brothers, lest perhaps there be in any one of you an evil heart of unbelief, in falling away from the living God;

13 A ntes exhortaos los unos a los otros cada día, mientras todavía se dice: Hoy; no sea que alguno de vosotros sea endurecido por el engaño del pecado.

but exhort one another day by day, so long as it is called “today”; lest any one of you be hardened by the deceitfulness of sin.

14 P orque somos hechos partícipes de Cristo, si es que retenemos firme hasta el fin el principio de nuestra seguridad,

For we have become partakers of Christ, if we hold fast the beginning of our confidence firm to the end:

15 e n cuanto se dice: Si ois hoy su voz, no endurezcais vuestros corazones, como en la provocacion.

while it is said, “Today if you will hear his voice, don’t harden your hearts, as in the rebellion.”

16 P orque ¿quiénes, habiendo oído, le provocaron ? ¿Acaso no fueron todos los que salieron de Egipto guiados por Moisés?

For who, when they heard, rebelled? No, didn’t all those who came out of Egypt by Moses?

17 ¿ Y con quiénes se disgustó por cuarenta años? ¿No fue con aquellos que pecaron, cuyos cuerpos cayeron en el desierto ?

With whom was he displeased forty years? Wasn’t it with those who sinned, whose bodies fell in the wilderness?

18 ¿ Y a quiénes juró que no entrarían en su reposo, sino a los que fueron desobedientes ?

To whom did he swear that they wouldn’t enter into his rest, but to those who were disobedient?

19 V emos, pues, que no pudieron entrar a causa de su incredulidad.

We see that they were not able to enter in because of unbelief.
