1 E n ti, oh Señor, me refugio; jamás sea yo avergonzado; líbrame en tu justicia.

In you, Yahweh, I take refuge. Let me never be disappointed. Deliver me in your righteousness.

2 I nclina a mí tu oído, rescátame pronto; sé para mí roca fuerte, fortaleza para salvarme.

Bow down your ear to me. Deliver me speedily. Be to me a strong rock, a house of defense to save me.

3 P orque tú eres mi roca y mi fortaleza, y por amor de tu nombre me conducirás y me guiarás.

For you are my rock and my fortress, therefore for your name’s sake lead me and guide me.

4 M e sacarás de la red que en secreto me han tendido; porque tú eres mi refugio.

Pluck me out of the net that they have laid secretly for me, for you are my stronghold.

5 E n tu mano encomiendo mi espíritu; tú me has redimido, oh Señor, Dios de verdad.

Into your hand I commend my spirit. You redeem me, Yahweh, God of truth.

6 A borrezco a los que confían en ídolos vanos; mas yo confío en el Señor.

I hate those who regard lying vanities, but I trust in Yahweh.

7 M e gozaré y me alegraré en tu misericordia, porque tú has visto mi aflicción; has conocido las angustias de mi alma,

I will be glad and rejoice in your loving kindness, for you have seen my affliction. You have known my soul in adversities.

8 y no me has entregado en manos del enemigo; tú has puesto mis pies en lugar espacioso.

You have not shut me up into the hand of the enemy. You have set my feet in a large place.

9 T en piedad de mí, oh Señor, porque estoy en angustia; se consumen de sufrir mis ojos, mi alma y mis entrañas.

Have mercy on me, Yahweh, for I am in distress. My eye, my soul, and my body waste away with grief.

10 P ues mi vida se gasta en tristeza, y mis años en suspiros; mis fuerzas se agotan a causa de mi iniquidad, y se ha consumido mi cuerpo.

For my life is spent with sorrow, my years with sighing. My strength fails because of my iniquity. My bones are wasted away.

I am forgotten from their hearts like a dead man. I am like broken pottery.

For I have heard the slander of many, terror on every side, while they conspire together against me, they plot to take away my life.

14 P ero yo, oh Señor, en ti confío; digo: Tú eres mi Dios.

But I trust in you, Yahweh. I said, “You are my God.”

15 E n tu mano están mis años; líbrame de la mano de mis enemigos, y de los que me persiguen.

My times are in your hand. Deliver me from the hand of my enemies, and from those who persecute me.

16 H az resplandecer tu rostro sobre tu siervo; sálvame en tu misericordia.

Make your face to shine on your servant. Save me in your loving kindness.

17 O h Señor, no sea yo avergonzado, porque a ti clamo; sean avergonzados los impíos; que desciendan en silencio al Seol.

Let me not be disappointed, Yahweh, for I have called on you. Let the wicked be disappointed. Let them be silent in Sheol.

18 E nmudezcan los labios mentirosos, que arrogantes hablan contra el justo con soberbia y desprecio.

Let the lying lips be mute, which speak against the righteous insolently, with pride and contempt.

19 ¡ Cuán grande es tu bondad, que has guardado para los que te temen, que has obrado para los que en ti se refugian, delante de los hijos de los hombres!

Oh how great is your goodness, which you have laid up for those who fear you, which you have worked for those who take refuge in you, before the sons of men!

20 D e las conspiraciones de los hombres tú los escondes en lo secreto de tu presencia; en un refugio los pondrás a cubierto de los enredos de las lenguas.

In the shelter of your presence you will hide them from the plotting of man. You will keep them secretly in a dwelling away from the strife of tongues.

21 B endito sea el Señor, porque ha hecho maravillosa su misericordia para mí en ciudad asediada.

Praise be to Yahweh, for he has shown me his marvelous loving kindness in a strong city.

22 Y yo alarmado, decía: ¡Cortado soy de delante de tus ojos! Empero tú oíste la voz de mis súplicas cuando a ti clamaba.

As for me, I said in my haste, “I am cut off from before your eyes.” Nevertheless you heard the voice of my petitions when I cried to you.

23 ¡ Amad al Señor, todos sus santos! El Señor preserva a los fieles, y retribuye plenamente a los que obran con soberbia.

Oh love Yahweh, all you his saints! Yahweh preserves the faithful, and fully recompenses him who behaves arrogantly.

24 E sforzaos, y aliéntese vuestro corazón, todos vosotros que esperáis en el Señor.

Be strong, and let your heart take courage, all you who hope in Yahweh.
