1 H ear my prayer, O Lord, and let my cry come to You.

SEÑOR, oye mi oración, y venga mi clamor a ti.

2 H ide not Your face from me in the day when I am in distress! Incline Your ear to me; in the day when I call, answer me speedily.

No escondas de mí tu rostro; en el día de mi angustia inclina a mí tu oído; el día que te invocare, apresúrate a responderme.

3 F or my days consume away like smoke, and my bones burn like a firebrand or like a hearth.

Porque mis días se han consumido como humo; y mis huesos son quemados como en hogar.

4 M y heart is smitten like grass and withered, so that I forget to eat my food.

Mi corazón fue herido, y se secó como la hierba; por lo cual me olvidé de comer mi pan.

5 B y reason of my loud groaning my flesh cleaves to my bones.

Por la voz de mi gemido mis huesos se han pegado a mi carne.

6 I am like a melancholy pelican or vulture of the wilderness; I am like a owl of the waste places.

Soy semejante al pelícano del desierto; soy como el búho de las soledades.

7 I am sleepless and lie awake, like a bereaved sparrow alone on the housetop.

Velo, y soy como el pájaro solitario sobre el tejado.

8 M y adversaries taunt and reproach me all the day; and they who are angry with me use my name as a curse.

Cada día me afrentan mis enemigos; los que se enfurecen contra mí, se han conjurado contra mí.

9 F or I have eaten the ashes as if they were bread and have mingled my drink with weeping

Por lo cual como la ceniza a manera de pan, y mi bebida mezclo con lloro,

10 B ecause of Your indignation and Your wrath, for You have taken me up and cast me away.

a causa de tu enojo y de tu ira; porque me alzaste, y me arrojaste.

11 M y days are like an evening shadow that stretches out and declines; and I am withered like grass.

Mis días son como la sombra que se va; y me he secado como la hierba.

12 B ut You, O Lord, are enthroned forever; and the fame of Your name endures to all generations.

¶ Mas tú, SEÑOR, para siempre permanecerás, y tu memoria de generación y generación.

13 Y ou will arise and have mercy and loving-kindness for Zion, for it is time to have pity and compassion for her; yes, the set time has come.

Tú levantándote, tendrás misericordia de Sion; porque es tiempo de tener misericordia de ella, porque el plazo es llegado.

14 F or Your servants take pleasure in the stones and show pity for her dust.

Porque tus siervos amaron sus piedras, y del polvo de ella tuvieron compasión.

15 S o the nations shall fear and worshipfully revere the name of the Lord, and all the kings of the earth Your glory.

Entonces temerán los gentiles el Nombre del SEÑOR, y todos los reyes de la tierra tu gloria;

16 W hen the Lord builds up Zion, He will appear in His glory;

por cuanto el SEÑOR habrá edificado a Sion, y será visto en su gloria;

17 H e will regard the plea of the destitute and will not despise their prayer.

habrá mirado a la oración de los solitarios y menesterosos, y no habrá desechado el ruego de ellos.

18 L et this be recorded for the generation yet unborn, that a people yet to be created shall praise the Lord.

Se escribirá esto para la generación venidera; y el pueblo que se criará, alabará a JAH.

19 F or He looked down from the height of His sanctuary, from heaven did the Lord behold the earth,

Porque miró de lo alto de su santuario; el SEÑOR miró de los cielos a la tierra,

20 T o hear the sighing and groaning of the prisoner, to loose those who are appointed to death,

para oír el gemido de los presos, para soltar a los hijos de muerte;

21 S o that men may declare the name of the Lord in Zion and His praise in Jerusalem

para que cuenten en Sion el Nombre del SEÑOR, y su alabanza en Jerusalén,

22 W hen peoples are gathered together, and the kingdoms, to worship and serve the Lord.

cuando los pueblos se congregaren en uno, y los reinos, para servir al SEÑOR.

23 H e has afflicted and weakened my strength, humbling and bringing me low in the way; He has shortened my days.

¶ El afligió mi fuerza en el camino; acortó mis días.

24 I said, O my God, take me not away in the midst of my days, You Whose years continue throughout all generations.

Dije: Dios mío, no me cortes en el medio de mis días; por generación de generaciones son tus años.

25 A t the beginning You existed and laid the foundations of the earth; the heavens are the work of Your hands.

Tú fundaste la tierra antiguamente, y los cielos son obra de tus manos.

26 T hey shall perish, but You shall remain and endure; yes, all of them shall wear out and become old like a garment. Like clothing You shall change them, and they shall be changed and pass away.

Ellos perecerán, y tú permanecerás; y todos ellos como un vestido se envejecerán; como una ropa de vestir los mudarás, y serán mudados;

27 B ut You remain the same, and Your years shall have no end.

mas tú eres el mismo, y tus años no se acabarán.

28 T he children of Your servants shall dwell safely and continue, and their descendants shall be established before You.

Los hijos de tus siervos habitarán, y su simiente será afirmada delante de ti.
