1 A nd God pronounced a blessing upon Noah and his sons and said to them, Be fruitful and multiply and fill the earth.

¶ Y bendijo Dios a Noé y a sus hijos, y les dijo: Fructificad, y multiplicaos, y llenad la tierra;

2 A nd the fear of you and the dread and terror of you shall be upon every beast of the land, every bird of the air, all that creeps upon the ground, and upon all the fish of the sea; they are delivered into your hand.

y vuestro temor y vuestro pavor será sobre todo animal de la tierra, y sobre toda ave de los cielos, en todo lo que se moverá en la tierra, y en todos los peces del mar; en vuestra mano son entregados.

3 E very moving thing that lives shall be food for you; and as I gave you the green vegetables and plants, I give you everything.

Todo lo que se mueve, que es vivo, os será para mantenimiento; así como la verdura de hierba, os lo he dado todo.

4 B ut you shall not eat flesh with the life of it, which is its blood.

Pero la carne con su alma (o vida), que es su sangre, no comeréis.

5 A nd surely for your lifeblood I will require an accounting; from every beast I will require it; and from man, from every man I will require a reckoning.

Porque ciertamente vuestra sangre que es vuestra alma, yo la demandaré; de mano de todo animal la demandaré, y de mano del hombre; de mano del varón su hermano demandaré el alma del hombre.

6 W hoever sheds man’s blood, by man shall his blood be shed; for in the image of God He made man.

El que derramare sangre de hombre en el hombre, su sangre será derramada; porque a imagen de Dios es hecho el hombre.

7 A nd you, be fruitful and multiply; bring forth abundantly on the earth and multiply on it.

Mas vosotros fructificad, y multiplicaos; y andad en la tierra, y multiplicaos en ella.

8 T hen God spoke to Noah and to his sons with him, saying,

¶ Y habló Dios a Noé y a sus hijos con él, diciendo:

9 B ehold, I establish My covenant or pledge with you and with your descendants after you

He aquí, que yo establezco mi pacto con vosotros, y con vuestra simiente después de vosotros;

10 A nd with every living creature that is with you—whether the birds, the livestock, or the wild beasts of the earth along with you, as many as came out of the ark—every animal of the earth.

y con toda alma viviente que está con vosotros, en aves, en animales, y en toda bestia de la tierra que está con vosotros; desde todos los que salieron del arca hasta todo animal de la tierra.

11 I will establish My covenant or pledge with you: Never again shall all flesh be cut off by the waters of a flood; neither shall there ever again be a flood to destroy the earth and make it corrupt.

Que yo estableceré mi pacto con vosotros, que no será talada más toda carne con aguas de diluvio; y que no habrá más diluvio para destruir la tierra.

12 A nd God said, This is the token of the covenant (solemn pledge) which I am making between Me and you and every living creature that is with you, for all future generations:

¶ Y dijo Dios: Esta será la señal del pacto que yo pongo entre mí y vosotros y toda alma viviente que está con vosotros, por siglos perpetuos:

13 I set My bow in the cloud, and it shall be a token or sign of a covenant or solemn pledge between Me and the earth.

Mi arco pondré en las nubes, el cual será por señal de pacto entre mí y la tierra.

14 A nd it shall be that when I bring clouds over the earth and the bow is seen in the clouds,

Y será, que cuando anublare sobre la tierra, entonces mi arco aparecerá en las nubes.

15 I will remember My covenant or solemn pledge which is between Me and you and every living creature of all flesh; and the waters will no more become a flood to destroy and make all flesh corrupt.

Y me acordaré de mi pacto que está entre mí y vosotros y toda alma viviente en toda carne; y no serán más las aguas por diluvio para destruir a toda carne.

16 W hen the bow is in the clouds and I look upon it, I will remember the everlasting covenant or pledge between God and every living creature of all flesh that is upon the earth.

Y estará el arco en las nubes, y lo veré para acordarme del pacto perpetuo entre Dios y toda alma viviente, con toda carne que está sobre la tierra.

17 A nd God said to Noah, This is the token or sign of the covenant or solemn pledge which I have established between Me and all flesh upon the earth.

Dijo más Dios a Noé: Esta será la señal del pacto que he establecido entre mí y toda carne, que está sobre la tierra.

18 T he sons of Noah who went forth from the ark were Shem, Ham, and Japheth. Ham was the father of Canaan.

¶ Y los hijos de Noé que salieron del arca fueron Sem, Cam y Jafet; y Cam es el padre de Canaán.

19 T hese are the three sons of Noah, and from them the whole earth was overspread and stocked with inhabitants.

Estos tres son los hijos de Noé; y de ellos fue llena toda la tierra.

20 A nd Noah began to cultivate the ground, and he planted a vineyard.

Y comenzó Noé a labrar la tierra, y plantó una viña;

21 A nd he drank of the wine and became drunk, and he was uncovered and lay naked in his tent.

y bebió del vino, y se embriagó, y se descubrió en medio de su tienda.

22 A nd Ham, the father of Canaan, glanced at and saw the nakedness of his father and told his two brothers outside.

Y Cam, padre de Canaán, vio la desnudez de su padre, y lo dijo a sus dos hermanos que estaban fuera.

23 S o Shem and Japheth took a garment, laid it upon the shoulders of both, and went backward and covered the nakedness of their father; and their faces were backward, and they did not see their father’s nakedness.

Entonces Sem y Jafet tomaron la ropa, y la pusieron sobre los hombros de ambos, y andando hacia atrás, cubrieron la desnudez de su padre teniendo vueltos los rostros, para que no vieran la desnudez de su padre.

24 W hen Noah awoke from his wine, and knew the thing which his youngest son had done to him,

¶ Y despertó Noé de su vino, y supo lo que había hecho con él su hijo el más joven;

25 H e exclaimed, Cursed be Canaan! He shall be the servant of servants to his brethren!

y dijo: Maldito sea Canaán; siervo de siervos será a sus hermanos.

26 H e also said, Blessed be the Lord, the God of Shem! And blessed by the Lord my God be Shem! And let Canaan be his servant.

Dijo más: Bendito el SEÑOR, el Dios de Sem, y sea Canaán su siervo.

27 M ay God enlarge Japheth; and let him dwell in the tents of Shem, and let Canaan be his servant.

Ensanche Dios a Jafet, y habite en las tiendas de Sem, y sea Canaán su siervo.

28 A nd Noah lived after the flood 350 years.

¶ Y vivió Noé después del diluvio trescientos cincuenta años.

29 A ll the days of Noah were 950 years, and he died.

Y fueron todos los días de Noé novecientos cincuenta años; y murió.
