1 T hen the Lord said to Moses, Go to Pharaoh and tell him, Thus says the Lord God of the Hebrews: Let My people go, that they may serve Me.

¶ Entonces el SEÑOR dijo a Moisés: Entra al Faraón, y dile: El SEÑOR Dios de los hebreos, dice así: Deja ir a mi pueblo, para que me sirvan;

2 I f you refuse to let them go and still hold them,

porque si no lo quieres dejar ir, y los detuvieres aún,

3 B ehold, the hand of the Lord upon your livestock which are out in the field, upon the horses, the donkeys, the camels, the herds and the flocks; there shall be a very severe plague.

he aquí la mano del SEÑOR será sobre tus ganados que están en el campo: caballos, asnos, camellos, vacas y ovejas, con pestilencia gravísima.

4 B ut the Lord shall make a distinction between the livestock of Israel and the livestock of Egypt, and nothing shall die of all that belongs to the Israelites.

Y el SEÑOR hará separación entre los ganados de Israel y los de Egipto, de modo que nada muera de todo lo de los hijos de Israel.

5 A nd the Lord set a time, saying, Tomorrow the Lord will do this thing in the land.

Y el SEÑOR señaló tiempo, diciendo: Mañana hará el SEÑOR esta cosa en la tierra.

6 A nd the Lord did that the next day, and all the livestock of Egypt died; but of the livestock of the Israelites not one died.

Y al día siguiente el SEÑOR hizo aquello, y murió de todo el ganado de Egipto; mas del ganado de los hijos de Israel no murió ni uno.

7 P haraoh sent to find out, and behold, there was not one of the cattle of the Israelites dead. But the heart of Pharaoh was hardened and he did not let the people go.

Entonces el Faraón envió a ver, y he aquí que del ganado de los hijos de Israel no había muerto ni uno. Mas el corazón del Faraón se agravó, y no dejó ir al pueblo.

8 T he Lord said to Moses and Aaron, Take handfuls of ashes or soot from the brickkiln and let Moses sprinkle them toward the heavens in the sight of Pharaoh.

¶ Y el SEÑOR dijo a Moisés y a Aarón: Tomad vuestros puños llenos del hollín de un horno, y espárzala Moisés hacia el cielo delante del Faraón.

9 A nd it shall become small dust over all the land of Egypt, and become boils breaking out in sores on man and beast in all the land.

Y vendrá a ser polvo sobre toda la tierra de Egipto, el cual originará sarna que eche vejigas apostemadas en los hombres y en las bestias, por toda la tierra de Egipto.

10 S o they took ashes or soot of the kiln and stood before Pharaoh; and Moses threw them toward the sky, and it became boils erupting in sores on man and beast.

Y tomaron del hollín del horno, y se pusieron delante de Faraón, y la esparció Moisés hacia el cielo; y vino una sarna que echaba vejigas, así en los hombres como en las bestias.

11 A nd the magicians could not stand before Moses because of their boils; for the boils were on the magicians and all the Egyptians.

Hasta que los magos no podían estar delante de Moisés a causa de la sarna, porque hubo sarna en los magos y en todos los egipcios.

12 B ut the Lord hardened the heart of Pharaoh, making it strong and obstinate, and he did not listen to them or heed them, just as the Lord had told Moses.

Y el SEÑOR endureció el corazón del Faraón, y no los oyó, como el SEÑOR lo había dicho a Moisés.

13 T hen the Lord said to Moses, Rise up early in the morning and stand before Pharaoh and say to him, Thus says the Lord, the God of the Hebrews, Let My people go, that they may serve Me.

¶ Entonces el SEÑOR dijo a Moisés: Levántate de mañana, y ponte delante del Faraón, y dile: El SEÑOR Dios de los hebreos, dice así: Deja ir a mi pueblo, para que me sirva.

14 F or this time I will send all My plagues upon your heart and upon your servants and your people, that you may recognize and know that there is none like Me in all the earth.

Porque de otra manera yo enviaré esta vez todas mis plagas a tu corazón, y en tus siervos, y en tu pueblo, para que entiendas que no hay otro como yo en toda la tierra.

15 F or by now I could have put forth My hand and have struck you and your people with pestilence, and you would have been cut off from the earth.

Porque ahora yo extenderé mi mano para herirte a ti y a tu pueblo de pestilencia, y serás quitado de la tierra.

16 B ut for this very purpose have I let you live, that I might show you My power, and that My name may be declared throughout all the earth.

Porque a la verdad yo te he puesto para declarar en ti mi potencia, y que mi Nombre sea contado en toda la tierra.

17 S ince you are still exalting yourself against My people by not letting them go,

Tú aún te ensalzas contra mi pueblo para no dejarlos ir.

18 B ehold, tomorrow about this time I will cause it to rain a very heavy and dreadful fall of hail, such as has not been in Egypt from its founding until now.

He aquí que mañana a estas horas yo lluevo granizo muy grave, cual nunca fue en Egipto, desde el día que se fundó hasta ahora.

19 S end therefore now and gather your cattle in hastily, and all that you have in the field; for every man and beast that is in the field and is not brought home shall be struck by the hail and shall die.

Envía, pues, a recoger tu ganado, y todo lo que tienes en el campo; porque todo hombre o animal que se hallare en el campo, y no fuere recogido a casa, el granizo descenderá sobre él, y morirá.

20 T hen he who feared the word of the Lord among the servants of Pharaoh made his servants and his livestock flee into the houses and shelters.

De los siervos del Faraón, el que temió la palabra del SEÑOR, hizo huir sus siervos y su ganado a casa;

21 A nd he who ignored the word of the Lord left his servants and his livestock in the field.

mas el que no puso en su corazón la palabra del SEÑOR, dejó sus siervos y sus ganados en el campo.

22 T he Lord said to Moses, Stretch forth your hand toward the heavens, that there may be hail in all the land of Egypt, upon man and beast, and upon all the vegetation of the field, throughout the land of Egypt.

¶ Y el SEÑOR dijo a Moisés: Extiende tu mano hacia el cielo, para que venga granizo en toda la tierra de Egipto sobre los hombres, y sobre las bestias, y sobre toda la hierba del campo en la tierra de Egipto.

23 T hen Moses stretched forth his rod toward the heavens, and the Lord sent thunder and hail, and fire (lightning) ran down to and along the ground, and the Lord rained hail upon the land of Egypt.

Y Moisés extendió su vara hacia el cielo, y el SEÑOR dio voces y granizó, y el fuego discurría por la tierra; e hizo llover el SEÑOR granizo sobre la tierra de Egipto.

24 S o there was hail and fire flashing continually in the midst of the weighty hail, such as had not been in all the land of Egypt since it became a nation.

Y hubo granizo, y fuego mezclado entre el granizo, tan grande, cual nunca hubo en toda la tierra de Egipto desde que fue habitada.

25 T he hail struck down throughout all the land of Egypt everything that was in the field, both man and beast; and the hail beat down all the vegetation of the field and shattered every tree of the field.

Y aquel granizo hirió en toda la tierra de Egipto todo lo que estaba en el campo, así hombres como bestias; asimismo hirió el granizo toda la hierba del campo, y quebró todos los árboles del campo.

26 O nly in the land of Goshen, where the Israelites were, was there no hail.

Solamente en la tierra de Gosén, donde los hijos de Israel estaban, no hubo granizo.

27 A nd Pharaoh sent for Moses and Aaron, and said to them, I have sinned this time; the Lord is in the right and I and my people are in the wrong.

Entonces el Faraón envió a llamar a Moisés y a Aarón, y les dijo: He pecado esta vez; el SEÑOR es justo, y yo y mi pueblo impíos.

28 E ntreat the Lord, for there has been enough of these mighty thunderings and hail; I will let you go; you shall stay here no longer.

Orad al SEÑOR; y cesen los truenos de Dios y el granizo; y yo os dejaré ir, y no quedaréis más aquí.

29 M oses said to him, As soon as I leave the city, I will stretch out my hands to the Lord; the thunder shall cease, neither shall there be any more hail, that you may know that the earth is the Lord’s.

Y le respondió Moisés: Saliendo yo de la ciudad extenderé mis manos al SEÑOR, y los truenos cesarán, y no habrá más granizo; para que sepas que del SEÑOR es la tierra.

30 B ut as for you and your servants, I know that you do not yet fear the Lord God.

Mas yo te conozco a ti y a tus siervos de antes que temieseis de la presencia del SEÑOR Dios.

31 T he flax and the barley were smitten and ruined, for the barley was in the ear and the flax in bloom.

El lino, pues, y la cebada fueron heridos; porque la cebada estaba ya espigada, y el lino en caña.

32 B ut the wheat and spelt were not smitten, for they ripen late and were not grown up yet.

Mas el trigo y el centeno no fueron heridos; porque eran tardíos.

33 S o Moses left the city and Pharaoh, and stretched forth his hands to the Lord; and the thunder and hail ceased, and rain was no longer poured upon the earth.

Y salido Moisés de la presencia de Faraón y de la ciudad, extendió sus manos al SEÑOR, y cesaron los truenos y el granizo; y la lluvia no cayó más sobre la tierra.

34 B ut when Pharaoh saw that the rain, the hail, and the thunder had ceased, he sinned yet more, and toughened and stiffened his hard heart, he and his servants.

Y viendo el Faraón que la lluvia había cesado y el granizo y los truenos, perseveró en pecar, y agravó su corazón, él y sus siervos.

35 S o Pharaoh’s heart was strong and obstinate; he would not let the Israelites go, just as the Lord had said by Moses.

Y el corazón del Faraón se endureció, y no dejó ir a los hijos de Israel; como el SEÑOR lo había dicho por medio de Moisés.
