1 T hen I saw another mighty angel coming down from heaven, robed in a cloud, with a rainbow over his head; his face was like the sun, and his feet (legs) were like columns of fire.

¶ Y vi otro ángel fuerte descender del cielo, vestido de una nube, y el arco del cielo estaba en su cabeza; y su rostro era como el sol, y sus pies como columnas de fuego.

2 H e had a little book (scroll) open in his hand. He set his right foot on the sea and his left foot on the land,

Y tenía en su mano un librito abierto; y puso su pie derecho sobre el mar, y el izquierdo sobre la tierra;

3 A nd he shouted with a loud voice like the roaring of a lion; and when he had shouted, the seven thunders gave voice and uttered their message in distinct words.

y clamó con gran voz, como cuando un león ruge; y cuando hubo clamado, siete truenos hablaron sus voces.

4 A nd when the seven thunders had spoken (sounded), I was going to write, but I heard a voice from heaven saying, Seal up what the seven thunders have said! Do not write it down!

Y cuando los siete truenos hubieron hablado sus voces, yo iba a escribir, y oí una voz del cielo, que me decía: Sella las cosas que los siete truenos han hablado, y no las escribas.

5 T hen the angel whom I had seen stationed on sea and land raised his right hand to heaven (the sky),

Y el ángel que vi estar sobre el mar y sobre la tierra, levantó su mano al cielo,

6 A nd swore in the name of (by) Him Who lives forever and ever, Who created the heavens ( sky) and all they contain, and the earth and all that it contains, and the sea and all that it contains. that no more time should intervene and there should be no more waiting or delay,

y juró por el que vive para siempre jamás, que ha creado el cielo y las cosas que están en él, y la tierra y las cosas que están en ella, y el mar y las cosas que están en él, que el tiempo no será más;

7 B ut that when the days come when the trumpet call of the seventh angel is about to be sounded, then God’s mystery (His secret design, His hidden purpose), as He had announced the glad tidings to His servants the prophets, should be fulfilled (accomplished, completed).

pero en el día de la voz del séptimo ángel, cuando él comenzare a tocar la trompeta, el misterio de Dios será consumado, como él lo evangelizó a sus siervos los profetas.

8 T hen the voice that I heard from heaven spoke again to me, saying, Go and take the little book (scroll) which is open on the hand of the angel who is standing on the sea and on the land.

¶ Y oí una voz del cielo que hablaba otra vez conmigo, y me decía: Anda ve, y toma el libro abierto en la mano del ángel que está sobre el mar y sobre la tierra.

9 S o I went up to the angel and asked him to give me the little book. And he said to me, Take it and eat it. It will embitter your stomach, though in your mouth it will be as sweet as honey.

Y fui al ángel, diciéndole que me diera el librito; y él me dijo: Toma, y trágalo; y él te hará amargar tu vientre, pero en tu boca será dulce como la miel.

10 S o I took the little book from the angel’s hand and ate and swallowed it; it was as sweet as honey in my mouth, but once I had swallowed it, my stomach was embittered.

Y tomé el librito de la mano del ángel, y lo devoré; y era dulce en mi boca como la miel; y cuando lo hube devorado, fue amargo mi vientre.

11 T hen they said to me, You are to make a fresh prophecy concerning many peoples and races and nations and languages and kings.

Y él me dice: Necesario es que otra vez profetices referente a muchos pueblos y naciones y lenguas y reyes.
