1 B lessed (happy, fortunate, prosperous, and enviable) is the man who walks and lives not in the counsel of the ungodly, nor stands in the path where sinners walk, nor sits down where the scornful gather.

Bienaventurado el varón que no anduvo en consejo de malos, ni estuvo en camino de pecadores, ni se sentó en silla de burladores;

2 B ut his delight and desire are in the law of the Lord, and on His law (the precepts, the instructions, the teachings of God) he habitually meditates (ponders and studies) by day and by night.

antes en la ley del SEÑOR es su voluntad, y en su ley pensará de día y de noche.

3 A nd he shall be like a tree firmly planted by the streams of water, ready to bring forth its fruit in its season; its leaf also shall not fade or wither; and everything he does shall prosper.

Y será como el árbol plantado junto a arroyos de aguas, que da su fruto en su tiempo; y su hoja no cae, y todo lo que hace, prosperará.

4 N ot so the wicked. But they are like the chaff which the wind drives away.

¶ No así los malos, que son como el tamo que arrebata el viento.

5 T herefore the wicked shall not stand in the judgment, nor sinners in the congregation of the righteous.

Por tanto no se levantarán los malos en el juicio; ni los pecadores en la congregación de los justos.

6 F or the Lord knows and is fully acquainted with the way of the righteous, but the way of the ungodly shall perish (end in ruin and come to nought).

Porque el SEÑOR conoce el camino de los justos; y el camino de los malos se perderá.
