1 T hus all the work that Solomon did for the house of the Lord was finished. He brought in all the things that David his father had dedicated, and the silver, the gold, and all the vessels he put in the treasuries of the house of God.

Acabada toda la obra que hizo Salomón para la Casa del SEÑOR, metió Salomón en ella las cosas que David su padre había dedicado; y puso la plata, y el oro, y todos los vasos, en los tesoros de la Casa de Dios.

2 T hen Solomon assembled the elders of Israel and all the heads of the tribes, the chiefs of the fathers’ houses of the Israelites, to Jerusalem to bring up the ark of the covenant of the Lord out of the City of David, which is Zion.

Entonces Salomón juntó en Jerusalén a los ancianos de Israel, y todas las cabezas de las tribus, príncipes de las familias de los hijos de Israel, para que trajeran el arca del pacto del SEÑOR de la ciudad de David, que es Sion.

3 A ll the men of Israel gathered to the king at the feast in the seventh month.

Y se juntaron al rey todos los varones de Israel, a la solemnidad del mes séptimo.

4 A nd all the elders of Israel came, and the Levites took up the ark.

Y vinieron todos los ancianos de Israel, y los levitas llevaron el arca.

5 A nd the priests and Levites brought up the ark, the Tent of Meeting, and all the holy vessels that were in the Tent.

Y llevaron el arca, y el tabernáculo del testimonio, y todos los vasos del santuario que estaban en el tabernáculo; los sacerdotes y los levitas los llevaron.

6 A lso King Solomon and all the assembly of Israel who were gathered to him before the ark sacrificed sheep and oxen so numerous that they could not be counted or reported.

Y el rey Salomón, y toda la congregación de Israel que se había congregado a él delante del arca, sacrificaron ovejas y bueyes, que por la multitud no se pudieron contar ni numerar.

7 A nd the priests brought the ark of the covenant of the Lord to its place, to the sanctuary of the house, into the Holy of Holies, under the wings of the cherubim;

Y los sacerdotes metieron el arca del pacto del SEÑOR en su lugar, en el oráculo de la Casa, en el lugar santísimo, bajo las alas de los querubines.

8 F or the cherubim spread out their wings over the place of the ark, making a covering above the ark and its poles.

Y los querubines extendían las dos alas sobre el asiento del arca, y cubrían los querubines por encima así el arca como sus barras.

9 A nd they drew out the poles of the ark, so that the ends of the poles protruding from the ark were visible from the front of the Holy of Holies, but were not visible from without. It is there to this day.

E hicieron salir fuera las barras, de modo que se vieran las cabezas de las barras del arca delante del oráculo, mas no se veían desde fuera; y allí estuvieron hasta hoy.

10 T here was nothing in the ark except the two tables which Moses put in it at Mount Horeb, when the Lord made a covenant with the Israelites when they came out of Egypt.

En el arca no había sino las dos tablas que Moisés había puesto en Horeb, con las cuales el SEÑOR había cortado un pacto con los hijos de Israel, cuando salieron de Egipto.

11 A nd when the priests had come out of the Holy Place—for all the priests present had sanctified themselves, separating themselves from everything that defiles, without regard to their divisions;

Y cuando los sacerdotes salieron del santuario (porque todos los sacerdotes que se hallaron habían sido santificados, y no guardaban entonces sus veces;

12 A nd all the Levites who were singers—all of those of Asaph, Heman, and Jeduthun, with their sons and kinsmen, arrayed in fine linen, having cymbals, harps, and lyres—stood at the east end of the altar, and with them 120 priests blowing trumpets;

y los levitas cantores, todos los de Asaf, los de Hemán, y los de Jedutún, juntamente con sus hijos y sus hermanos, estaban vestidos de lino fino con címbalos, salterios y arpas al oriente del altar; y con ellos ciento veinte sacerdotes que tocaban trompetas).

13 A nd when the trumpeters and singers were joined in unison, making one sound to be heard in praising and thanking the Lord, and when they lifted up their voice with the trumpets and cymbals and other instruments for song and praised the Lord, saying, For He is good, for His mercy and loving-kindness endure forever, then the house of the Lord was filled with a cloud,

Y tocaban las trompetas, y cantaban con la voz todos a una como un varón alabando y confesando al SEÑOR, cuando alzaban la voz con trompetas y címbalos, e instrumentos de música, cuando alababan al SEÑOR, diciendo: Porque es bueno, porque su misericordia es para siempre. Y la Casa fue llena de una nube, la Casa del SEÑOR.

14 S o that the priests could not stand to minister because of the cloud, for the glory of the Lord filled the house of God.

Y no podían los sacerdotes estar para ministrar por causa de la nube; porque la gloria del SEÑOR había llenado la Casa de Dios.
