1 A nd you, son of man, take a sharp sword and use it as a barber’s razor and shave your head and your beard. Then take balances for weighing and divide the hair into three parts.

Y tú, hijo de hombre, tómate un cuchillo agudo, una navaja de barbero toma, y hazla pasar sobre tu cabeza y tu barba; tómate después un peso de balanza, y reparte los pelos.

2 Y ou shall burn one part with fire in the midst of the city, when the days of the siege are fulfilled; and you shall take a second part and strike with the sword round about it; and a third part you shall scatter to the wind, and I will draw out a sword after them.

La tercera parte quemarás con fuego en medio de la ciudad, cuando se cumplieren los días del cerco, y tomarás la otra tercera parte, y herirás con espada alrededor de ella; y la otra tercera parte esparcirás al viento, y yo desenvainaré espada en pos de ellos.

3 Y ou shall also take from these a small number of hairs and bind them in the skirts of your robe.

Tomarás de allí unos pocos por cuenta, y los atarás en el canto de tu ropa.

4 A nd of these again take some hairs and cast them into the midst of the fire and burn them in the fire; from there a fire shall come forth into all the house of Israel.

Y tomarás otra vez de ellos, y los echarás en mitad del fuego, y en el fuego los quemarás; de allí saldrá el fuego en toda la Casa de Israel.

5 T hus says the Lord God: This is Jerusalem; in the center of the nations I have set her, and countries are round about her.

Así dijo el Señor DIOS: Esta es Jerusalén: yo la puse en medio de los gentiles y de las tierras alrededor de ella.

6 A nd she has changed and rebelled against My ordinances more wickedly than the nations, and against My statutes more than the countries that are round about her; for rejected My ordinances, and as for My statutes, they have not walked in them.

Y ella mudó mis juicios y mis ordenanzas en impiedad más que los gentiles, y más que las tierras que están alrededor de ella; porque desecharon mis juicios y mis mandamientos, y no anduvieron en ellos.

7 T herefore thus says the Lord God: Because you were more turbulent and raged more than the nations that are round about you and have not walked in My statutes, neither have kept My ordinances, nor have done according to the ordinances the nations that are round about you;

Por tanto, así dijo el Señor DIOS: Por haberos yo multiplicado más que a los gentiles que están alrededor de vosotros, no habéis andado en mis mandamientos, ni habéis guardado mis leyes. Ni aun según los juicios de los gentiles que están alrededor de vosotros habéis hecho.

8 T herefore thus says the Lord God: Behold, I, even I, am against you, and I will execute judgments in the midst of you in the sight of the nations.

Por tanto así dijo el Señor DIOS: He aquí yo estoy contra ti; sí, yo, y haré juicios en medio de ti a los ojos de los gentiles.

9 A nd because of all your abominations, I will do in you that which I have not done and the like of which I will never do again.

Y haré en ti lo que nunca hice, ni jamás haré cosa semejante, a causa de todas tus abominaciones.

10 T herefore fathers shall eat their sons in your midst, and sons shall eat their fathers; and I will execute judgments on you and all who are left of you I will scatter to all the winds.

Porque los padres comerán a los hijos en medio de ti, y los hijos comerán a sus padres; y haré en ti juicios, y esparciré a todos los vientos todo tu remanente.

11 T herefore, as I live, says the Lord God, surely because you have defiled My sanctuary with all your detestable things and with all your abominations, therefore will I also diminish you and withdraw My eye that it shall not spare you. And I also will have no pity.

Por tanto, vivo yo, dijo el Señor DIOS, ciertamente por haber tú violado mi Santuario con todas tus contaminaciones, y con todas tus abominaciones, te quebrantaré yo también; mi ojo no perdonará, ni tampoco tendré yo misericordia.

12 A nd a third of you shall die of pestilence and be consumed by famine in the midst of you; a third shall fall by the sword round about you; and I will scatter a third to all the winds and will draw out a sword after them.

La tercera parte de ti morirá de pestilencia, y será consumida de hambre en medio de ti; y la tercera parte caerá a espada alrededor de ti; y la tercera parte esparciré a todos los vientos, y tras ellos desenvainaré espada.

13 T hus shall My anger be spent and I will cause My wrath toward them to rest and I will be eased and comforted. And they shall know, understand, and realize that I the Lord have spoken in My zeal, when I have accomplished My wrath upon them.

Y se acabará mi furor, y haré que cese en ellos mi enojo, y tomaré consuelo; y sabrán que yo, el SEÑOR, he hablado en mi celo, cuando haya cumplido en ellos mi enojo.

14 M oreover, I will make you a desolation and a reproach among the nations that are round about you and in the sight of all who pass by.

Y te tornaré en desierto y en oprobio entre los gentiles que están alrededor de ti, a los ojos de todo transeúnte.

15 S o it shall be a reproach and a taunt, a warning and a horror and an astonishment to the nations around you when I shall execute judgments upon you in anger and in wrath and in furious chastisements and rebukes—I the Lord have spoken it.

Y serás oprobio, y deshonra, y castigo, y espanto a los gentiles que están alrededor de ti, cuando yo hiciere en ti juicios en furor e ira, y en reprensiones de ira. Yo, el SEÑOR, he hablado.

16 W hen I shall loose against them the evil arrows of hunger that are for destruction, which I will send to destroy you, then I will increase the famine upon you and will break your staff of bread.

Cuando arrojare yo sobre ellos las perniciosas saetas del hambre, que serán para destrucción, las cuales yo enviaré para destruiros, entonces aumentaré el hambre sobre vosotros, y quebrantaré entre vosotros el sustento del pan.

17 A nd I will send upon you hunger and wild beasts, and they shall bereave you; and pestilence and blood shall pass through you, and I will bring the sword upon you. I the Lord have spoken it.

Enviaré, pues, sobre vosotros hambre, y malas bestias que te destruyan; y pestilencia y sangre pasarán por ti; y meteré sobre ti espada. Yo, el SEÑOR, he hablado.
