1 T herefore I urge you, brothers, by the mercies of God, to present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable to God, which is your spiritual service.

Итак умоляю вас, братия, милосердием Божиим, представьте тела ваши в жертву живую, святую, благоугодную Богу, разумного служения вашего,

2 D on’t be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, so that you may prove what is the good, well-pleasing, and perfect will of God.

и не сообразуйтесь с веком сим, но преобразуйтесь обновлением ума вашего, чтобы вам познавать, что есть воля Божия, благая, угодная и совершенная.

3 F or I say, through the grace that was given me, to every man who is among you, not to think of himself more highly than he ought to think; but to think reasonably, as God has apportioned to each person a measure of faith.

По данной мне благодати, всякому из вас говорю: не думайте более, нежели должно думать; но думайте скромно, по мере веры, какую каждому Бог уделил.

4 F or even as we have many members in one body, and all the members don’t have the same function,

Ибо, как в одном теле у нас много членов, но не у всех членов одно и то же дело,

5 s o we, who are many, are one body in Christ, and individually members one of another.

так мы, многие, составляем одно тело во Христе, а порознь один для другого члены.

6 H aving gifts differing according to the grace that was given to us, if prophecy, let us prophesy according to the proportion of our faith;

И как, по данной нам благодати, имеем различные дарования,, пророчество, по мере веры;

7 o r service, let us give ourselves to service; or he who teaches, to his teaching;

служение, в служении; учитель ли, --в учении;

8 o r he who exhorts, to his exhorting: he who gives, let him do it with liberality; he who rules, with diligence; he who shows mercy, with cheerfulness.

увещатель ли, увещевай; раздаватель ли, в простоте; начальник ли, с усердием; благотворитель ли, с радушием.

9 L et love be without hypocrisy. Abhor that which is evil. Cling to that which is good.

Любовь непритворна; отвращайтесь зла, прилепляйтесь к добру;

10 I n love of the brothers be tenderly affectionate to one another; in honor preferring one another;

будьте братолюбивы друг к другу с нежностью; в почтительности друг друга предупреждайте;

11 n ot lagging in diligence; fervent in spirit; serving the Lord;

в усердии не ослабевайте; духом пламенейте; Господу служите;

12 r ejoicing in hope; enduring in troubles; continuing steadfastly in prayer;

утешайтесь надеждою; в скорби терпеливы, в молитве постоянны;

13 c ontributing to the needs of the saints; given to hospitality.

в нуждах святых принимайте участие; ревнуйте о странноприимстве.

14 B less those who persecute you; bless, and don’t curse.

Благословляйте гонителей ваших; благословляйте, а не проклинайте.

15 R ejoice with those who rejoice. Weep with those who weep.

Радуйтесь с радующимися и плачьте с плачущими.

16 B e of the same mind one toward another. Don’t set your mind on high things, but associate with the humble. Don’t be wise in your own conceits.

Будьте единомысленны между собою; не высокомудрствуйте, но последуйте смиренным; не мечтайте о себе;

17 R epay no one evil for evil. Respect what is honorable in the sight of all men.

никому не воздавайте злом за зло, но пекитесь о добром перед всеми человеками.

18 I f it is possible, as much as it is up to you, be at peace with all men.

Если возможно с вашей стороны, будьте в мире со всеми людьми.

19 D on’t seek revenge yourselves, beloved, but give place to God’s wrath. For it is written, “Vengeance belongs to me; I will repay, says the Lord.”

Не мстите за себя, возлюбленные, но дайте место гневу. Ибо написано: Мне отмщение, Я воздам, говорит Господь.

20 T herefore “If your enemy is hungry, feed him. If he is thirsty, give him a drink; for in doing so, you will heap coals of fire on his head.”

Итак, если враг твой голоден, накорми его; если жаждет, напой его: ибо, делая сие, ты соберешь ему на голову горящие уголья.

21 D on’t be overcome by evil, but overcome evil with good.

Не будь побежден злом, но побеждай зло добром.
