1 N ow the lot for the tribe of the sons of Judah according to their families reached the border of Edom, southward to the wilderness of Zin at the extreme south.

2 T heir south border was from the lower end of the Salt Sea, from the bay that turns to the south.

Южната им граница започваше от най-далечния край на Соленото море, от залива, който се простира към Негев;

3 T hen it proceeded southward to the ascent of Akrabbim and continued to Zin, then went up by the south of Kadesh-barnea and continued to Hezron, and went up to Addar and turned about to Karka.

и продължаваше към Негев до склона на Акравим, преминаваше в Цин, изкачваше се на юг от Кадис-варни, преминаваше край Есрон, изкачваше се в Адар, завиваше към Карка,

4 I t continued to Azmon and proceeded to the brook of Egypt, and the border ended at the sea. This shall be your south border.

преминаваше до Асмон и достигаше до Египетския поток. Границата свършваше при морето. Това е южната им граница.

5 T he east border was the Salt Sea, as far as the mouth of the Jordan. And the border of the north side was from the bay of the sea at the mouth of the Jordan.

А източната граница беше Соленото море до устието на Йордан. И границата на северната част започваше от залива на морето при устието на Йордан;

6 T hen the border went up to Beth-hoglah, and continued on the north of Beth-arabah, and the border went up to the stone of Bohan the son of Reuben.

продължаваше до Ветагла и преминаваше на север от Ветарава. Границата се изкачваше до камъка на Воан, Рувимовия потомък.

7 T he border went up to Debir from the valley of Achor, and turned northward toward Gilgal which is opposite the ascent of Adummim, which is on the south of the valley; and the border continued to the waters of En-shemesh and it ended at En-rogel.

От долината Ахор границата възлизаше към Девир и завиваше на север към Галгал срещу нагорнището на Адумим, който е на юг от потока, преминаваше към водите на Енсемес и свършваше до извора Рогил.

8 T hen the border went up the valley of Ben-hinnom to the slope of the Jebusite on the south (that is, Jerusalem); and the border went up to the top of the mountain which is before the valley of Hinnom to the west, which is at the end of the valley of Rephaim toward the north.

Границата възлизаше през долината на Еномовия син, на юг от Евус (това е Йерусалим), и минаваше по върха на хълма, който е на запад срещу еномската долина, в северния край на долината на рафаимите;

9 F rom the top of the mountain the border curved to the spring of the waters of Nephtoah and proceeded to the cities of Mount Ephron, then the border curved to Baalah (that is, Kiriath-jearim).

и от върха на хълма границата завиваше до извора на водата Нефтоя и стигаше до градовете на ефронската планина; после се отправяше към Ваала (която е Кириат-иарим).

10 T he border turned about from Baalah westward to Mount Seir, and continued to the slope of Mount Jearim on the north (that is, Chesalon), and went down to Beth-shemesh and continued through Timnah.

От Ваала границата завиваше на запад към сиирската планина, минаваше край северната страна на планината Ярим (която е Хасалон), слизаше във Ветсемес и минаваше през Тамна;

11 T he border proceeded to the side of Ekron northward. Then the border curved to Shikkeron and continued to Mount Baalah and proceeded to Jabneel, and the border ended at the sea.

после границата излизаше на север от Акарон и се отправяше към Сикрон, минаваше през планината Ваал и стигаше до Явнеил. Границата свършваше при морето.

12 T he west border was at the Great Sea, even its coastline. This is the border around the sons of Judah according to their families.

А западната граница беше край Голямото море и пределите му. Тези бяха околовръстните граници на Юдовите синове според семействата им.

13 N ow he gave to Caleb the son of Jephunneh a portion among the sons of Judah, according to the command of the Lord to Joshua, namely, Kiriath-arba, Arba being the father of Anak (that is, Hebron).

И според заповяданото от Господа на Исус той даде на Халев, Ефониевия син, за дял между Юдовите синове града на Арва, Енаковия баща, който град е Хеврон.

14 C aleb drove out from there the three sons of Anak: Sheshai and Ahiman and Talmai, the children of Anak.

А Халев прогони от там тримата Енакови сина: Сесай, Ахиман и Талмай.

15 T hen he went up from there against the inhabitants of Debir; now the name of Debir formerly was Kiriath-sepher.

Оттам отиде против жителите на Девир (а името на Девир преди беше Кириат-сефер).

16 A nd Caleb said, “The one who attacks Kiriath-sepher and captures it, I will give him Achsah my daughter as a wife.”

И Халев каза: Който порази Кириат-сефер и го превземе, на него ще дам дъщеря си Ахса за жена.

17 O thniel the son of Kenaz, the brother of Caleb, captured it; so he gave him Achsah his daughter as a wife.

Превзе го Готониил, син на Кенез, Халевовия брат; и той му даде дъщеря си Ахса за жена.

18 I t came about that when she came to him, she persuaded him to ask her father for a field. So she alighted from the donkey, and Caleb said to her, “What do you want?”

И като отиваше, тя му внуши да поиска от баща ѝ нива; и така, като слезе от осела, Халев ѝ каза: Какво ти е?

19 T hen she said, “Give me a blessing; since you have given me the land of the Negev, give me also springs of water.” So he gave her the upper springs and the lower springs.

А тя отвърна: Дай ми благословение; понеже си ми дал южна земя, дай ми и водни извори. И той ѝ даде горните и долните извори.

20 T his is the inheritance of the tribe of the sons of Judah according to their families.

Това е наследството на племето на Юдовите синове според семействата им.

21 N ow the cities at the extremity of the tribe of the sons of Judah toward the border of Edom in the south were Kabzeel and Eder and Jagur,

Най-крайните градове във владение на племето на Юдовите синове, граничещи с Едом на юг, бяха: Кавсеил, Едар, Ягур,

22 a nd Kinah and Dimonah and Adadah,

Кина, Димона, Адада,

23 a nd Kedesh and Hazor and Ithnan,

Кадес, Асор, Итнан,

24 Z iph and Telem and Bealoth,

Зиф, Телем, Ваалот,

25 a nd Hazor-hadattah and Kerioth-hezron (that is, Hazor),

Асор-адата, Кириот, Есрон (който е Асор),

26 A mam and Shema and Moladah,

Амам, Сема, Молада,

27 a nd Hazar-gaddah and Heshmon and Beth-pelet,

34 a nd Zanoah and En-gannim, Tappuah and Enam,

Заноа, Енганим, Тапфуа, Инам,

35 J armuth and Adullam, Socoh and Azekah,

Ярмут, Одолам, Сохо, Азика,

36 a nd Shaaraim and Adithaim and Gederah and Gederothaim; fourteen cities with their villages.

Сагарим, Адитаим, Гедира и Гедиротаим; четиринадесет града заедно със селата им;

37 Z enan and Hadashah and Migdal-gad,

Сенан, Адаса, Мигдалгад,

38 a nd Dilean and Mizpeh and Joktheel,

45 E kron, with its towns and its villages;

46 f rom Ekron even to the sea, all that were by the side of Ashdod, with their villages.

47 A shdod, its towns and its villages; Gaza, its towns and its villages; as far as the brook of Egypt and the Great Sea, even its coastline.

48 I n the hill country: Shamir and Jattir and Socoh,

59 a nd Maarath and Beth-anoth and Eltekon; six cities with their villages.

Маарат, Ветанот и Елтекон; шест града заедно със селата им;

60 K iriath-baal (that is, Kiriath-jearim), and Rabbah; two cities with their villages.

Кириат-ваал (който е Кириат-иарим) и Рава; два града заедно със селата им.

61 I n the wilderness: Beth-arabah, Middin and Secacah,

В пустинята: Ветарава, Мидин, Сехаха,

62 a nd Nibshan and the City of Salt and Engedi; six cities with their villages.

Нивсан, Градът на солта и Енгади; шест града заедно със селата им.

63 N ow as for the Jebusites, the inhabitants of Jerusalem, the sons of Judah could not drive them out; so the Jebusites live with the sons of Judah at Jerusalem until this day.

А Юдовите синове не можаха да изгонят йевусейците, които населяваха Йерусалим; а йевусейците живееха в Йерусалим с Юдовите синове - и така живеят до днес.
