1 A simismo David y los príncipes del ejército apartaron para el ministerio a los hijos de Asaf, de Hemán, y de Jedutún, los cuales profetizaran con arpas, salterios, y címbalos; y el número de ellos fue, de los varones idóneos para la obra de su ministerio respectivo:

David and the captains of the army set apart for the work some of the sons of Asaph, of Heman and of Jeduthun. They were to speak God’s Word while harps and timbrels were playing. These are the names of those who served in this way.

2 D e los hijos de Asaf: Zacur, José, Netanías, y Asarela, hijos de Asaf, bajo la dirección de Asaf, el cual profetizaba a la mano del rey.

The sons of Asaph were: Zaccur, Joseph, Nethaniah and Asharelah. They were led by Asaph, who spoke for God under the leading of the king.

3 D e Jedutún, los hijos de Jedutún: Gedalías, Zeri, Jesaías, Hasabías, y Matatías: seis, bajo la mano de su padre Jedutún, el cual profetizaba con arpa, para confesar y alabar al SEÑOR.

The six sons of Jeduthun were: Gedaliah, Zeri, Jeshaiah, Shimei, Hashabiah and Mattithiah. They were led by their father Jeduthun, who spoke God’s Word using the harp, giving thanks and praising the Lord.

4 D e Hemán: los hijos de Hemán; Buquías, Matanías, Uziel, Sebuel, Jeremot, Hananías, Hanani, Eliata, Gidalti, Romanti-ezer, Josbecasa, Maloti, Hotir, y Mahaziot.

The sons of Heman were: Bukkiah, Mattaniah, Uzziel, Shebuel, Jerimoth, Hananiah, Hanani, Eliathah, Giddalti, Romamtiezer, Joshbekashah, Mallothi, Hothir and Mahazioth.

5 T odos éstos fueron hijos de Hemán, vidente del rey en palabras de Dios, para ensalzar cuerno; y Dios dio a Hemán catorce hijos y tres hijas.

All these were the sons of Heman the king’s man of God, to honor him by the Words of God. God gave Heman fourteen sons and three daughters.

6 Y todos éstos estaban bajo la dirección de su padre en la música, en la Casa del SEÑOR, con címbalos, salterios y arpas, para el ministerio de la Casa de Dios, bajo la mano del rey, de Asaf, de Jedutún, y de Hemán.

All of them were led by their father to sing in the Lord’s house. They sang and played timbrels and harps, serving in the house of God. Asaph, Jeduthun and Heman were led by the king.

7 Y el número de ellos con sus hermanos instruidos en la música del SEÑOR, todos los entendidos, fue doscientos ochenta y ocho.

The number of those and their brothers who were taught to sing to the Lord, all who were very good singers, was 288.

8 A simismo echaron suertes guarda contra guarda, el chico con el grande, el sabio con el discípulo.

They drew names for their work, the young and old alike, also the teacher and the one who was taught.

9 Y la primera suerte salió a Asaf, por José; la segunda por Gedalías, quien con sus hermanos e hijos fueron doce;

These are how the names were drawn. First was Joseph the son of Asaph. The second was Gedaliah. Together with his brothers and sons, there were twelve.

10 l a tercera por Zacur, con sus hijos y sus hermanos, doce;

The third was Zaccur. With his sons and brothers there were twelve.

11 l a cuarta por Izri, con sus hijos y sus hermanos, doce;

The fourth was Izri. With his sons and brothers there were twelve.

12 l a quinta por Netanías, con sus hijos y sus hermanos, doce;

The fifth was Nethaniah. With his sons and brothers there were twelve.

13 l a sexta por Buquías, con sus hijos y sus hermanos, doce;

The sixth was Bukkiah. With his sons and brothers there were twelve.

14 l a séptima por Jesarela, con sus hijos y sus hermanos, doce;

The seventh was Jesharelah. With his sons and brothers there were twelve.

15 l a octava por Jesahías, con sus hijos y sus hermanos, doce;

The eighth was Jeshaiah. With his sons and brothers there were twelve.

16 l a novena por Matanías, con sus hijos y sus hermanos, doce;

The ninth was Mattaniah. With his sons and brothers there were twelve.

17 l a décima por Simei, con sus hijos y sus hermanos, doce;

The tenth was Shimei. With his sons and brothers there were twelve.

18 l a undécima por Azareel, con sus hijos y sus hermanos, doce;

The eleventh was Azarel. With his sons and brothers there were twelve.

19 l a duodécima por Hasabías, con sus hijos y sus hermanos, doce;

The twelfth was Hashabiah. With his sons and brothers there were twelve.

20 l a decimotercera por Subael, con sus hijos y sus hermanos, doce;

The thirteenth was Shubael. With his sons and brothers there were twelve.

21 l a decimocuarta por Matatías, con sus hijos y sus hermanos, doce;

The fourteenth was Mattithiah. With his sons and brothers there were twelve.

22 l a decimoquinta por Jeremot, con sus hijos y sus hermanos, doce;

The fifteenth was Jeremoth. With his sons and brothers there were twelve.

23 l a decimosexta por Hananías, con sus hijos y sus hermanos, doce;

The sixteenth was Hananiah. With his sons and brothers there were twelve.

24 l a decimoséptima por Josbecasa, con sus hijos y sus hermanos, doce;

The seventeenth was Joshbekashah. With his sons and brothers there were twelve.

25 l a decimooctava por Hanani, con sus hijos y sus hermanos, doce;

The eighteenth was Hanani. With his sons and brothers there were twelve.

26 l a decimonovena por Maloti, con sus hijos y sus hermanos, doce;

The nineteenth was Mallothi. With his sons and brothers there were twelve.

27 l a vigésima por Eliata, con sus hijos y sus hermanos, doce;

The twentieth was Eliathah. With his sons and brothers there were twelve.

28 l a vigesimaprimera por Hotir, con sus hijos y sus hermanos, doce;

The twenty-first was Hothir. With his sons and brothers there were twelve.

29 l a vigesimasegunda por Gidalti, con sus hijos y sus hermanos, doce;

The twenty-second was Giddalti. With his sons and brothers there were twelve.

The twenty-third was Mahazioth. With his sons and brothers there were twelve.
