1 S EÑOR, en tu fortaleza se alegrará el Rey y en tu salud se gozará mucho.

O Lord, in Your strength the king is glad! How great is his joy in Your saving power!

2 E l deseo de su corazón le diste, y no le negaste lo que sus labios pronunciaron. (Selah.)

You have given him the desire of his heart. You have not kept from him anything that he has asked for.

3 P or tanto le adelantarás en bendiciones de bien; corona de oro fino has puesto sobre su cabeza.

For You meet him with gifts of good things. You set a crown of pure gold on his head.

4 V ida te demandó, y le diste largura de días por siglos y siglos.

He asked You for life and You gave it to him, a long life forever and ever.

5 G rande es su gloria en tu salud; honra y hermosura has puesto sobre él.

His honor is great because of Your help. You have given him greatness and power.

6 P orque lo has bendecido para siempre; lo llenaste de alegría con tu rostro.

You have given him honor and respect forever. And You make him glad with the joy of being with You.

7 ¶ Por cuanto el Rey confía en el SEÑOR, y en la misericordia del Altísimo, no será conmovido.

For the king trusts in the Lord. Because of the loving-kindness of the Most High, he will not be shaken.

8 A lcanzará tu mano a todos tus enemigos; tu diestra alcanzará a los que te aborrecen.

Your hand will find all who fight against You. Your right hand will find those who hate You.

9 L os pondrás como horno de fuego en el tiempo de tu ira; el SEÑOR los deshará en su furor, y fuego los consumirá.

You will make them like a stove of fire in the time of Your anger. The Lord will eat them up in His anger. And the fire will destroy them.

10 S u fruto aniquilarás de la tierra, y su simiente de entre los hijos de los hombres.

You will destroy their children from the earth, and their sons from the children of men.

11 P orque tendieron mal contra ti; fraguaron maquinaciones, mas no prevalecieron.

For they planned much trouble against You. They have made sinful plans that will come to nothing.

12 P or tanto tú los pondrás aparte; con tu arco apuntarás a sus rostros.

For You will make them turn their backs when You take up Your bow against them.

13 E nsálzate, oh SEÑOR, con tu fortaleza; cantaremos y alabaremos tu valentía.

Be honored in Your strength, O Lord. We will sing and praise Your power.
