1 ¶ Y vi un ángel descender del cielo, que tenía la llave del abismo, y una gran cadena en su mano.

Then I saw an angel coming down from heaven. He had in his hand a key to the hole without a bottom. He also had a strong chain.

2 Y prendió al dragón, aquella serpiente antigua, que es el Diablo y Satanás, y lo ató por mil años;

He took hold of the dragon, that old snake, who is the Devil, or Satan, and chained him for 1, 000 years.

3 y lo envió al abismo, y lo encerró, y selló sobre él, para que no engañe más a los gentiles, hasta que mil años sean cumplidos; y después de esto es necesario que sea desatado un poco de tiempo.

The angel threw the devil into the hole without a bottom. He shut it and locked him in it. He could not fool the nations anymore until the 1, 000 years were completed. After this he must be free for awhile.

4 Y vi tronos, y se sentaron sobre ellos, y les fue dado juicio; y vi las almas de los degollados por el testimonio de Jesús, y por la palabra de Dios, que no adoraron la bestia, ni a su imagen, y que no recibieron su marca en sus frentes, ni en sus manos, y vivirán y reinarán con Cristo los mil años.

Then I saw thrones. Those who were sitting there were given the power to judge. I saw the souls of those who had been killed because they told about Jesus and preached the Word of God. They had not worshiped the wild animal or his false god. They had not received his mark on their foreheads or hands. They lived again and were leaders along with Christ for 1, 000 years.

5 M as los otros muertos no volvieron a vivir hasta que sean cumplidos los mil años. Esta es la primera resurrección.

The rest of the dead did not come to life again until the 1, 000 years were finished. This is the first time many people are raised from the dead at the same time.

6 B ienaventurado y santo el que tiene parte en la primera resurrección; la segunda muerte no tiene potestad en éstos; antes serán sacerdotes de Dios y del Cristo, y reinarán con él mil años.

Those who are raised from the dead during this first time are happy and holy. The second death has no power over them. They will be religious leaders of God and of Christ. They will be leaders with Him for 1, 000 years. Satan Is Destroyed Forever

7 Y cuando los mil años fueren cumplidos, Satanás será suelto de su prisión,

When the 1, 000 years are finished, Satan will be free to leave his prison.

8 y saldrá para engañar los gentiles que están sobre los cuatro ángulos de la tierra, a Gog y a Magog, a fin de congregarlos para la batalla; el número de los cuales es como la arena del mar.

He will go out and fool the nations who are over all the world. They are Gog and Magog. He will gather them all together for war. There will be as many as the sand along the sea-shore.

9 Y subieron sobre la anchura de la tierra, y circundaron el campo de los santos, y la Ciudad amada. Y de Dios descendió fuego del cielo, y los devoró.

They will spread out over the earth and all around the place where God’s people are and around the city that is loved. Fire will come down from God out of heaven and destroy them.

10 Y el diablo que los engañaba, fue lanzado en el lago de fuego y azufre, donde está la bestia y el falso Profeta; y serán atormentados día y noche para siempre jamás.

Then the devil who fooled them will be thrown into the lake of fire burning with sulphur. The wild animal and the false preacher are already there. They will all be punished day and night forever. The Guilty Will Be Punished

11 ¶ Y vi un gran trono blanco y al que estaba sentado sobre él, de delante del cual huyó la tierra y el cielo; y no fue hallado el lugar de ellos.

Then I saw a great white throne. I saw the One Who sat on it. The earth and the heaven left Him in a hurry and they could be found no more.

12 Y vi los muertos, grandes y pequeños, que estaban delante de Dios; y los libros fueron abiertos; y otro libro fue abierto, el cual es el libro de la vida; y fueron juzgados los muertos por las cosas que estaban escritas en los libros, según sus obras.

I saw all the dead people standing before God. There were great people and small people. The books were opened. Then another book was opened. It was the book of life. The dead people were judged by what they had done as it was written in the books.

13 Y el mar dio los muertos que estaban en él; y la muerte y el Hades dieron los muertos que estaban en ellos; y fue hecho juicio de cada uno según sus obras.

The sea gave up the dead people who were in it. Death and hell gave up the dead people who were in them. Each one was judged by what he had done.

14 Y el Hades y la muerte fueron lanzados en el lago de fuego. Esta es la muerte segunda.

Then death and hell were thrown into the lake of fire. The lake of fire is the second death.

15 Y el que no fue hallado escrito en el libro de la vida, fue lanzado en el lago de fuego.

If anyone’s name was not written in the book of life, he was thrown into the lake of fire.
