1 X igmaddu gurigeeday dhisatay, Toddobadeedii tiirna way xaradhay.
Wisdom has built her house. She has made seven pillars to hold it up.
2 N eefafkeedii ayay qashay, oo waxay isku dartay khamrigeedii; Miiskeediina way diyaarisay.
She has cooked her food, and has mixed her wine, and she has set her table.
3 O o gabdhaheedii midiidinnada ahaa ayay dirtay, oo waxay ka qaylinaysaa Magaalada meelaha ugu sarreeya, iyadoo leh,
She has sent out the young women who work for her. She calls from the highest places of the city,
4 K u alla kii garaaddaranu, halkan ha u soo leexdo. Oo kii waxgarasho u baahanna waxay ku leedahay,
“Whoever is easy to fool, let him turn in here!” She says to the one without understanding,
5 K aalaya oo kibistayda wax ka cuna, Oo khamriga aan isku darayna wax ka cabba.
“Come and eat my food, and drink the wine I have mixed.
6 G araadlaawayaashow, nacasnimada iska daaya, oo noolaada, Oo jidka waxgarashadana mara.
Turn from your foolish way, and live. Walk in the way of understanding.”
7 K ii mid wax quudhsada toosiyaa, cay buu isu soo jiidaa, Oo kii kan sharka leh canaantana, ceeb baa ku dhacda.
He who speaks strong words to the man who laughs at the truth brings shame upon himself. He who speaks strong words to a sinful man gets hurt.
8 M id wax quudhsada ha canaanan, waaba intaas oo uu ku necbaadaaye, Nin caqli leh canaano, oo isna wuu ku jeclaan doonaa.
Do not speak strong words to a man who laughs at the truth, or he will hate you. Speak strong words to a wise man, and he will love you.
9 N in caqli leh wax bar, oo isna caqli wuu sii yeelan doonaa. Nin xaq ah wax bar, oo isna waxbarasho wuu sii korodhsan doonaa.
Give teaching to a wise man and he will be even wiser. Teach a man who is right and good, and he will grow in learning.
10 R abbiga in laga cabsado waa xigmadda bilowgeeda, Oo Kan quduuska ah in la aqoonsadona waa waxgarasho.
The fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom. To learn about the Holy One is understanding.
11 W aayo, maalmahaagu anigay igu badan doonaan, Oo cimrigaaguna waa sii kordhi doonaa.
For by me your days will grow in number, and years will be added to your life.
12 H addaad caqli leedahay naftaadaad caqli u leedahay, Laakiinse haddaad wax quudhsato, adiga uun baa waxquudhsashadaada xambaaran doona.
If you are wise, your wisdom is a help to you. If you laugh at the truth, you alone will suffer for it.
13 N aagta nacasadda ahu waa qaylo badan tahay, Iyadu way garaaddaran tahay, oo waxba ma taqaan.
A foolish woman makes much noise. She is open to sin, and knows nothing.
14 W aayo, waxay fadhiisataa illinka gurigeeda, Oo kursi bay ku fadhiisataa meelaha sarsare ee magaalada,
She sits at the door of her house or on a seat in the high places of the city.
15 I nay u yeedho kuwa jidka maraya, Iyagoo jidadkooda iska sii soconaya,
She calls to those who pass by and are making their paths straight,
16 K u alla kii garaaddaranu halkan ha u soo leexdo, Oo kii waxgarasho u baahanna waxay ku leedahay,
“Whoever is easy to fool, let him turn in here!” She says to the one without understanding,
17 B iyo la soo xaday way macaan yihiin. Oo cunto qarsoodi loo cunaana wax bay ka farxisaa.
“Stolen water is sweet. And bread eaten in secret is pleasing.”
18 L aakiinse isagu garan maayo in kuwii dhintay ay halkaas joogaan, Iyo in martideedii ay She'ool guntiisa ku jiraan.
But he does not know that the dead are there, and that the ones who visit her are in the bottom of hell.
