1 M arkaasaa qabiilooyinkii reer binu Israa'iil oo dhammu waxay Daa'uud ugu yimaadeen Xebroon, oo intay la hadleen ayay ku yidhaahdeen, Annagu waxaannu nahay laftaada iyo jidhkaaga.

Then all the families of Israel came to David at Hebron and said, “See, we are your bone and your flesh.

2 W aagii hore oo Saa'uul boqorka noo ahaa, adiguu ahaa kii reer binu Israa'iil dibadda u bixin jiray oo gudaha soo gelin jiray; oo Rabbiguna wuxuu kugu yidhi, Adigu waxaad quudin doontaa dadkayga reer binu Israa'iil, oo amiir baanad u ahaan doontaa reer binu Israa'iil.

When Saul was our king, you were the one who led Israel out and in. The Lord said to you, ‘You will be the shepherd of My people Israel. You will be a ruler over Israel.’”

3 S idaas aawadeed odayaashii reer binu Israa'iil oo dhammu waxay boqorkii ugu yimaadeen Xebroon; oo Boqor Daa'uudna wuxuu iyagii axdi kula dhigtay Xebroon Rabbiga hortiisa, oo iyana waxay Daa'uud u boqreen inuu ahaado boqor reer binu Israa'iil u taliya.

So all the leaders of Israel came to the king at Hebron. And there King David made an agreement with them before the Lord. Then they chose David to be the king of Israel.

4 O o Daa'uudna soddon sannadood buu jiray markuu bilaabay inuu boqor noqdo, oo wuxuuna boqor ahaa afartan sannadood.

David was thirty years old when he became king, and he ruled for forty years.

5 O o reer Yahuudahna wuxuu Xebroon ugu talinayay toddoba sannadood iyo lix bilood, oo reer Israa'iil oo dhan iyo reer Yahuudahna wuxuu Yeruusaalem ugu talinayay saddex iyo soddon sannadood. Daa'uud Oo Qabsaday Yeruusaalem

He ruled over Judah seven years and six months at Hebron. Then he ruled in Jerusalem thirty-three years over all Israel and Judah. David Takes Jerusalem

6 O o boqorkii iyo raggiisiiba waxay tageen Yeruusaalem, inay ku duulaan reer Yebuus oo ahaa dadkii dalka degganaa, kuwaasoo la hadlay Daa'uud oo ku yidhi, Adoo kuwa indhaha la' iyo curyaannada qaada mooyaane halkan iman maysid, waayo, waxay u maleeyeen inuusan Daa'uud halkaas iman karin.

Now the king and his men went to Jerusalem against the Jebusites, the people living in the land. They said to David, “You will not come here. Even those who cannot see or walk could stop you.” They thought that David could not come here.

7 H abase yeeshee Daa'uud waa qabsaday qalcaddii Siyoon, oo taasuna waa magaaladii Daa'uud.

But David took the strong place of Zion, that is, the city of David.

8 M arkaasaa Daa'uud maalintaas wuxuu yidhi, Ku alla kii reer Yebuus laayaa, ha tago meesha biyomareenka ah, oo ha ku laayo curyaannada iyo indhoolayaasha oo neceb Daa'uud naftiisa. Sidaas daraaddeed waxay leeyihiin, Indhoolayaasha iyo curyaannadu yaanay guriga soo gelin.

David said on that day, “Whoever would kill the Jebusites, let him go up through the hole where the water flows, to those who cannot walk or see and who are hated by David’s soul.” So it is said, “Those who cannot see or walk will not come to the house.”

9 O o Daa'uudna qalcaddii ayuu degay, wuxuuna u bixiyey magaaladii Daa'uud. Oo Daa'uudna wuxuu dhisay hareeraheedii iyo tan iyo Millo ilaa gudaha.

David lived in the strong place and called it the city of David. He built all around it from Millo toward the center.

10 O o Daa'uudna aad iyo aad buu u sii xoogaystay; waayo, waxaa isaga la jiray Rabbiga ah Ilaaha ciidammada.

David became greater and greater, for the Lord God of All was with him.

11 M arkaasaa Xiiraam oo ahaa boqorkii Turos ayaa Daa'uud wargeeyayaal u soo diray, iyo geedo kedar la yidhaahdo, iyo nijaarro iyo wastaadyo, oo iyana guri bay Daa'uud u dhiseen.

Hiram king of Tyre sent men to David with cedar trees and men who build with wood and stone. And they built a house for David.

12 O o Daa'uudna wuxuu ogaaday in Rabbigu isaga u taagay inuu ahaado boqor u taliya reer binu Israa'iil, iyo inuu boqortooyadiisa u sarraysiiyey dadkiisa reer binu Israa'iil aawadood.

David understood that the Lord had made him the king of Israel, and that the Lord had given honor to David’s rule because of His people Israel.

13 O o Daa'uudna weliba Yeruusaalem ayuu ka guursaday addoommo iyo naago kale markuu Xebroon ka yimid dabadeed, oo weliba waxaa Daa'uud u dhashay wiilal iyo gabdho.

David took more wives from Jerusalem, after he came from Hebron. And more sons and daughters were born to him.

14 O o kuwanuna waa kuwii isaga Yeruusaalem ugu dhashay magacyadoodii: Shammuuca, iyo Shoobaab, iyo Naataan, iyo Sulaymaan,

The names of those who were born to him in Jerusalem were Shammua, Shobab, Nathan, Solomon,

15 i yo Yibxaar, iyo Eliishuuca, iyo Nefeg, iyo Yaafiica,

Ibhar, Elishua, Nepheg, Japhia,

16 i yo Eliishaamaac, iyo Elyaadaac, iyo Eliifeled. Daa'uud Oo Ka Guulaystay Reer Falastiin

Elishama, Eliada and Eliphelet. David Wins the Battle over the Philistines

17 O o reer Falastiinna markay maqleen in Daa'uud loo subkay inuu boqor u ahaado reer binu Israa'iil ayay reer Falastiin oo dhammu u soo baxeen inay Daa'uud doondoonaan; oo Daa'uudna taas wuu maqlay, markaasuu dhufayskii hoos ugu dhaadhacay.

When the Philistines heard that David had been chosen to be king of Israel, all the Philistines went up to find him. When David heard of it, he went down to the strong place.

18 H addaba reer Falastiin way yimaadeen, oo waxay ku firdheen dooxadii Refaa'iim.

The Philistines came and spread themselves out in the valley of Rephaim.

19 M arkaasaa Daa'uud Rabbiga wax weyddiiyey, oo yidhi, Miyaan reer Falastiin ku kacaa? Miyaad ii soo gacangelinaysaa? Markaasaa Rabbigu wuxuu Daa'uud ku yidhi, Haah, ku kac, waayo, hubaal reer Falastiin waan kuu soo gacangelinayaa.

Then David asked the Lord, “Should I go up against the Philistines? Will You give them into my hand?” And the Lord said to David, “Go up, for it is sure that I will give the Philistines into your hand.”

20 M arkaasaa Daa'uud yimid Bacal Feraasiim, oo halkaasaa Daa'uud iyagii ku laayay, oo yidhi, Rabbigu cadaawayaashaydii ayuu hortayda degdeg ugu qabtay, sida biyaha butaacayaa u degdegaan oo kale. Sidaas daraaddeed meeshaas magaceedii wuxuu u bixiyey Bacal Feraasiim.

So David came to Baal-perazim and beat them there in battle. He said, “The Lord has broken through those who hate me like the breaking through of a flood.” So he gave that place the name Baal-perazim.

21 I yana halkaasay sanamyadoodii kaga tageen, waxaana qaaday Daa'uud iyo raggiisii.

The Philistines left their false gods there, and David and his men carried them away.

22 H addana reer Falastiin mar kalay soo kaceen oo dooxadii Refaa'iim ku firdheen.

The Philistines came up again, and spread themselves out in the valley of Rephaim.

23 O o Daa'uudna markuu Rabbiga wax weyddiiyey ayaa Rabbigu ku yidhi, Waa inaadan ku kicin, laakiinse xagga dambe ka mar oo waxaad ku weerartaa meel ka soo hor jeedda geedaha bukaa la yidhaahdo.

David asked the Lord what he should do. And the Lord said, “Do not go up, but go around behind them and come at them in front of the balsam trees.

24 O o markaad sanqadha askarta socodkeeda ka maqashid geedaha bukaa dushooda, kolkaas waa inaad dhaqsataa, waayo, Rabbigu waa kaaga hor baxay inuu ciidanka reer Falastiin laayo.

When you hear the sound of their steps in the tops of the balsam trees, then hurry to fight, for then the Lord will have gone out before you to destroy the Philistine army.”

25 O o Daa'uudna sidii buu yeelay sidii Rabbigu ku amray, oo wuxuu reer Falastiin ku laynayay ilaa Gebac iyo tan iyo Geser.

David did just as the Lord told him. He killed the Philistines from Geba to Gezer.
