1 O o amarka aan maanta idinku amrayo oo dhan waa inaad wada samaysaan si aad u noolaataan oo u tarantaan oo aad u gashaan oo u hantidaan dalkii Rabbigu ugu dhaartay awowayaashiin.

“Be careful to do all that I am telling you today. Then you will live and have many children, and go in to own the land the Lord promised to give to your fathers.

2 O o waa inaad xusuusataan jidkii uu Rabbiga Ilaahiinna ahu afartankan sannadood idinku soo dhex mariyey cidladii, si uu idiin hoosaysiiyo oo idiin tijaabiyo si uu u ogaado wixii qalbigiinna ku jiray, bal inaad amarradiisa xajinaysaan iyo in kale.

You will remember all the way the Lord your God led you in the desert these forty years, so you would not have pride, and how He tested you to know what was in your heart to see if you would obey His Laws or not.

3 W uu idin hoosaysiiyey, oo gaajuu idinku riday, oo wuxuu idinku quudiyey maanna aydaan aqoon oo awowayaashiinna ayan aqoon, inuu idin ogeysiiyo inaan dadku kibis oo keliya ku noolaan, laakiinse uu dadku eray walba oo afka Rabbiga ka soo baxa ku noolaado.

He let you be hungry which helped you to not have pride. Then He fed you with bread from heaven which you and your fathers had not known. He did this to make you understand that man does not live by bread alone. But man lives by everything that comes out of the mouth of the Lord.

4 O o afartankan sannadood dharkiinnii aad qabteen idinkama duugoobin oo cagihiinnuna marna ma bararin.

Your clothes did not wear out, and your feet did not get sore during these forty years.

5 O o waa inaad qalbigiinna kaga fikirtaan in Rabbigu idin edbiyo sida nin wiilkiisa u edbiyo.

So know in your heart that the Lord your God was punishing you just as a man punishes his son.

6 O o waa inaad xajisaan amarrada Rabbiga Ilaahiinna ah inaad jidadkiisa ku socotaan oo aad isaga ka cabsataan.

Keep the Laws of the Lord your God. Walk in His ways, and fear Him.

7 W aayo, Rabbiga Ilaahiinna ahu wuxuu idin keenayaa dal wanaagsan oo ah dal ay ka buuxaan durdurro biyo ah, iyo ilo, iyo biyo mool dheer oo ka soo baxaya dooxooyin iyo buuro.

For the Lord your God is bringing you into a good land, a land of rivers and wells of water, flowing into valleys from hills.

8 W aa dal ay ka buuxaan sarreen iyo shaciir, iyo geedo canab ah iyo geedo berde ah, iyo rummaan, oo waa dal ay ka buuxaan saliidsaytuun iyo malab,

It is a land of grains, vines, fig trees, fruit, olive oil and honey.

9 o o waa dal aad waayitaanla'aan kibis kaga cunaysaan oo aydaan waxba uga baahnayn, waa dal dhagaxyadiisu ay bir yihiin, oo aad buurihiisana naxaas ka qodan doontaan.

It is a land where you will have enough food to eat and not have to do without, a land where stones are iron. And you can make brass from what you dig out of its hills.

10 O o intaad wax cuntaan ayaad dhergi doontaan, oo markaasaad Rabbiga Ilaahiinna ah ugu mahadnaqi doontaan dalka wanaagsan oo uu idin siiyey.

When you have eaten and are filled, you will honor and thank the Lord your God for the good land He has given you.

11 D igtoonaada, waaba intaasoo aad Rabbiga Ilaahiinna ah illowdaan markaad xajin weydaan amarradiisa iyo xukummadiisa iyo qaynuunnadiisa, oo aan maanta idinku amrayo,

“Be careful not to forget the Lord your God by not keeping all His Laws which I am telling you today.

12 o o markaad wax cuntaan oo aad dheregtaan, oo aad guryo wanaagsan dhisataan oo aad degtaan,

When you have eaten and are filled, and have built good houses to live in,

13 o o lo'diinna iyo idihiinnu ay tarmaan, oo lacagtiinna iyo dahabkiinnuna ay bataan, oo waxaad haysataan oo dhammuna ay tarmaan,

and when your cattle and flocks become many, and you get much silver and gold, and have many things for your own,

14 u u qalbigiinnu kor u kacaa oo aad illowdaan Rabbiga Ilaahiinna ah oo idinka soo bixiyey dalkii Masar iyo gurigii addoonsiga.

be careful not to become proud. Do not forget the Lord your God Who brought you out of the land of Egypt, out of the house where you were servants.

15 I sagaa idin soo dhex mariyey cidladii weynayd oo cabsida badnayd oo ay ka buuxeen abeesooyin qaniinyo kulul iyo hangarallayaal, oo ahaa dhul oommane ah oo aan biyo lahayn, oo dhagaxmadowgii ayuu biyo idiinka soo bixiyey.

He led you through the big desert that brought fear with its poisonous snakes and scorpions and thirsty ground where there was no water. He brought you water out of hard rock.

16 O o intaad cidladii joogtay ayuu idinku quudiyey maanna aan awowayaashiinna aqoon. Waxaas oo dhan wuxuu u sameeyey si uu idiin hoosaysiiyo oo idiin tijaabiyo, si uu ugu dambaystiinna wanaag idiinku sameeyo,

In the desert He fed you bread from heaven, which your fathers did not know about. He did this so you would not have pride and that He might test you. It was for your good in the end.

17 w aaba intaasoo aad qalbiga iska tidhaahdaan, Xooggayaga iyo itaalka gacantayada ayaannu maalkan ku helnay.

Be careful not to say in your heart, ‘My power and strong hand have made me rich.’

18 L aakiinse waa inaad xusuusataan Rabbiga Ilaahiinna ah, waayo, kan xoogga aad maalka ku heshaan idin siiyaa waa isaga, inuu adkeeyo axdigii uu awowayaashiin ugu dhaartay, siday maanta tahay.

But remember the Lord your God. For it is He Who is giving you power to become rich. By this He may keep His agreement which He promised to your fathers, as it is this day.

19 O o haddaad Rabbiga Ilaahiinna ah illowdaan oo aad ilaahyo kale raacdaan oo u adeegtaan oo caabuddaan, hubaal waxaan maanta idiin markhaati furayaa inaad baabba'aysaan.

If you ever forget the Lord your God and go to other gods to worship and work for them, I tell you today that you will be destroyed for sure.

20 S idii quruumihii Rabbigu hortiinna ka baabbi'iyey oo kale ayaad idinkuna baabba'aysaan, maxaa yeelay, waad diiddeen inaad codkii Rabbiga Ilaahiinna ah maqashaan.

You will be destroyed like the nations the Lord destroys before you, because you would not listen to the voice of the Lord your God.
