1 M aalintii ugu horraysay ee toddobaadka, goortii waagii beryayay, ayay xabaashii yimaadeen, iyagoo wada dhirtii udgoonayd oo ay diyaargareeyeen.

Early in the morning on the first day of the week, the women went to the grave taking the spices they had made ready.

2 O o waxay arkeen dhagixii oo xabaashii laga giringiriyey.

They found the stone had been pushed away from the grave.

3 M arkaasay galeen, laakiin kama ay helin meydkii Rabbi Ciise.

They went in but they did not find the body of the Lord Jesus.

4 W axaa dhacay, intay waxaas ka sii welwelsanaayeen, in laba nin oo dhar dhalaalaya sitaa ag taagnaayeen.

While they wondered about what had happened, they saw two men standing by them in shining clothes.

5 D umarkii iyagoo cabsanaya ayay wejigooda hoos ugu foororiyeen dhulka. Markaasay ku yidhaahdeen iyaga, Maxaad kan nool uga dhex doondoonaysaan kuwii dhintay?

They were very much afraid and got down with their faces to the ground. The men said to them, “Why do you look for the living One among those who are dead?

6 I sagu halkan ma joogo, laakiinse waa sara kacay. Xusuusta siduu idiinla hadlay intuu Galili weli joogay,

He is not here. He is risen. Do you not remember what He said to you when He was yet in Galilee?

7 i sagoo leh, Wiilka Aadanaha waa in loo gacangeliyo dembilayaasha, oo iskutallaabta lagu qodbo, oo maalinta saddexaad uu soo sara kaco.

He said, ‘The Son of Man must be given over into the hands of sinful men. He must be nailed to a cross. He will rise again three days later.’”

8 M arkaasay hadalladiisii xusuusteen.

They remembered what He had said.

9 W ayna ka soo noqdeen xabaashii, oo waxaas oo dhan ayay u sheegeen koob-iyo-tobankii iyo kuwii kale oo dhan.

When they came back from the grave, they told all these things to the eleven followers and to all the others.

10 W axay ahaayeen Maryantii reer Magdala, iyo Yo'anna, iyo Maryan oo ahayd Yacquub hooyadii; dumarkii kalena oo la jiray ayaa waxaas rasuulladii u sheegay.

They were Mary Magdalene and Joanna and Mary the mother of James. Other women who were with them told these things to the followers also.

11 H adalladaas waxay la noqdeen wax aan micne lahayn, wayna rumaysan waayeen.

Their words sounded like foolish talk. The followers did not believe them.

12 L aakiin Butros ayaa kacay oo xabaashii u orday, markaasuu foororsaday oo wuxuu arkay maryihii keligood oo meel yaal; markaasuu ka tegey oo gurigiis ku noqday isagoo ka yaabban wixii dhacay. Ciise Wuxuu U Muuqday Xertii Emma'us Ku Socotay

But Peter got up and ran to the grave. He got down to look in and saw only the linen clothes. Then he went away, surprised about what had happened. The Followers of Jesus Do Not Believe He Is Risen

13 L aba ka mid ah iyaga waxay maalintaas qudheeda ku socdeen tuulo la odhan jiray Emma'us, tan Yeruusaalem u jirtay lixdan istaadiyon.

That same day two of His followers were going to the town of Emmaus. It was about a two-hour walk from Jerusalem.

14 W axay ka wada hadlayeen wixii dhacay oo dhan,

They talked of all these things that had happened.

15 o o waxay noqotay intay wada hadlayeen oo wax isweyweyddiinayeen, in Ciise qudhiisa u soo dhowaaday oo la socday.

While they were talking together, Jesus Himself came and walked along with them.

16 L aakiin waa la indhasaabay si aanay u garanayn.

Something kept their eyes from seeing Who He was.

17 M arkaasuu ku yidhi, Maxay yihiin hadalladan aad isku haysaan intaad socotaan? Wayna istaageen iyagoo fool qulubsan.

He said to them, “What are you talking about as you walk?” They stood still and looked sad.

18 M idkood oo Kale'obas la odhan jiray, ayaa u jawaabay oo ku yidhi, Ma adigoo keliya oo Yeruusaalem deggan oo aan ogayn wixii ayaamahan meeshaas ka dhacay?

One of them, whose name was Cleopas, said to Him, “Are you the only one visiting Jerusalem who has not heard of the things that have happened here these days?”

19 W uxuu ku yidhi, Wax maxay ah? Waxay ku yidhaahdeen, Wixii ku saabsanaa Ciisihii Reer Naasared, kii ahaa nin nebi ah oo xoog u lahaa wax falniin iyo hadal ah Ilaah iyo dadka oo dhan hortooda,

Jesus said to them, “What things?” They answered, “The things about Jesus of Nazareth. He was the great One Who spoke for God. He did powerful works and spoke powerful words in the sight of God and the people.

20 i yo sidii wadaaddada sare iyo taliyayaasheennii ugu dhiibeen in dhimasho lagu xukumo, oo iskutallaabta ayay ku qodbeen.

And the religious leaders and the leaders of the people gave Him over to be killed and nailed Him to a cross.

21 L aakiin waxaannu rajaynaynay inuu yahay kan Israa'iil soo furan lahaa, laakiin waxaas oo dhan weliba maanta waa u maalintii saddexaad markii ay waxaas oo dhammi dhaceen.

We were hoping He was the One Who was going to make the Jewish people free. But it was three days ago when these things happened.

22 W eliba dumar annaga naga mid ah ayaa naga yaabsiiyey, kuwii aroortii hore xabaashii tegey.

“Some of the women of our group have surprised us and made us wonder. They went to the grave early this morning.

23 G oortii ay meydkiisii waayeen ayay yimaadeen iyagoo leh, Waxaannu weliba aragnay muuqad malaa'igo kuwa yidhi, Wuu nool yahay.

They did not find His body. They came back saying they had seen angels in a special dream who said that He was alive.

24 Q aarkood oo nala joogay ayaa xabaashii tegey, oo waxay arkeen sidii dumarku yidhi, laakiin isagase ma ay arkin.

Some of those who were with us went to the grave and found it as the women had said. But they did not see Him.”

25 M arkaasuu ku yidhi, Nacasyo yahow oo qalbigoodu ka raagay inuu rumaysto wixii nebiyada oo dhammi ay ka hadleen.

Then Jesus said to them, “You foolish men. How slow you are to believe what the early preachers have said.

26 M asiixa miyaanay waajib ku ahayn inuu waxaas oo dhan ku silco oo uu ammaantiisa galo?

Did not Christ have to go through these hard things to come into His shining-greatness?”

27 M arkaasuu ka bilaabay Muuse iyo nebiyada oo dhan, Qorniinka oo dhanna ayuu uga micneeyey wixii isaga qudhiisa ku saabsanaa.

Jesus kept on telling them what Moses and all the early preachers had said about Him in the Holy Writings.

28 G oortaasay ku soo dhowaadeen tuuladay ku socdeen, isaguna wuxuu iska dhigay mid sii fogaanaya,

When they came to the town where they were going, Jesus acted as if He were going farther.

29 l aakiin way oggolaysiiyeen iyagoo leh, Nala joog, waayo, makhribku waa dhow yahay, maalintiina durba waa dhammaatay. Markaasuu la galay inuu la joogo.

But they said to Him, “Stay with us. It will soon be evening. The day is about over.” He went in to stay with them.

30 W axaa dhacay kolkuu cunto ula fadhiistay inuu kibista qaaday, oo barakeeyey, oo intuu kala jejebiyey ayuu siiyey.

As He sat at the table with them, He took the bread and gave thanks and broke it. Then He gave it to them.

31 M arkaasaa indhahoodu furmeen, oo isagay garteen, wuuna ka libdhay.

And their eyes were opened and they knew Him. Then He left them and could not be seen.

32 M arkaasay isku yidhaahdeen, Miyaan qalbigeennu gubanin intuu jidka inagula hadlayay iyo intuu Qorniinkii inoo furayay?

They said to each other, “Were not our hearts filled with joy when He talked to us on the road about what the Holy Writings said?”

33 S aacaddaas qudheeda ayay kaceen oo Yeruusaalem ku noqdeen, waxayna arkeen koob-iyo-tobankii iyo kuwii la jiray oo isu ururay,

Then they got up at once and went back to Jerusalem. They found the eleven followers together and others with them.

34 i yagoo leh, Hubaal Sayidku waa sara kacay, oo wuxuu u muuqday Simoon.

They said, “For sure the Lord is risen and was seen by Simon.”

35 I yaguna waxay ka warrameen wixii jidka ka dhacay iyo siday isaga ugu garteen kala jejebintii kibista. Ciise Wuxuu U Muuqday Rasuulladii

Then they told what had happened on the road and how they came to know Him when He broke the bread. Jesus Is Seen by the Other Ten Followers

36 I ntay waxyaalahaas ku hadlayeen, isaga qudhiisa ayaa dhexdooda taagnaa, oo wuxuu ku yidhi, Nabadi ha idinla jirto.

As they talked, Jesus Himself stood among them. He said, “May you have peace.”

37 L aakiin way argaggexeen oo cabsadeen, waxayna u maleeyeen inay ruuxaan arkeen.

But they were afraid and full of fear. They thought they saw a spirit.

38 M arkaasuu ku yidhi, Maxaad u naxaysaan? Fikirro maxay qalbigiinna uga kacayaan?

Jesus said to them, “Why are you afraid? Why do you have doubts in your hearts?

39 G acmahayga iyo cagahayga arka inaan anigu isagii ahay, i taabta oo arka, waayo, ruuxaan jiidh iyo lafo ma leh sidaad igu arkaysaan inaan leeyahay.

Look at My hands and My feet. See! It is I, Myself! Touch Me and see for yourself. A spirit does not have flesh and bones as I have.”

40 G oortuu waxaas yidhi, ayuu tusay gacmihiisa iyo cagihiisa.

When Jesus had said this, He showed them His hands and feet.

41 I ntay yaabsanaayeen iyagoo aan weli rumaysan farxad aawadeed, wuxuu ku yidhi, Halkan wax la cuno ma ku haysaan?

They still wondered. It was hard for them to believe it and yet it made them happy. Then He said to them, “Do you have anything here to eat?”

42 K olkaasay waxay siiyeen in kalluun duban ah.

They gave Jesus a piece of fish that had been cooked and some honey.

43 M arkaasuu qaaday oo hortooda ku cunay.

He took it and ate it in front of them. Jesus Sends His Followers to Teach

44 W uxuu ku yidhi, Kuwani waa hadalladaydii aan idinkula hadlay intii aan weli idinla jiray. Waa inay noqdaan wax walba oo sharciga Muuse iyo nebiyadii iyo sabuurrada laygaga qoray oo igu saabsanaa.

Jesus said to them, “These are the things I told you while I was yet with you. All things written about Me in the Law of Moses and in the Books of the early preachers and in the Psalms must happen as they said they would happen.”

45 M arkaasuu garashadooda u furay si ay u gartaan Qorniinka.

Then He opened their minds to understand the Holy Writings.

46 W uxuuna ku yidhi, Sidaasay u qoran tahay, Waa inuu Masiixu silco, oo uu maalinta saddexaad kuwa dhintay ka soo sara kaco,

He said to them, “It is written that Christ should suffer and be raised from the dead after three days.

47 i yo in toobaddii iyo dembidhaafka magiciisa lagu wacdiyo quruumaha oo dhan oo laga bilaabo Yeruusaalem.

It must be preached that men must be sorry for their sins and turn from them. Then they will be forgiven. This must be preached in His name to all nations beginning in Jerusalem.

48 I dinkuna waxyaalahaas ayaad markhaati ka tihiin.

You are to tell what you have seen.

49 O o bal eega, waxaan idiin soo dirayaa ballankii Aabbahay, laakiin magaalada jooga ilaa xoog laydinka huwiyo xagga sare. Ciise Kor Buu U Baxay

See! I will send you what My Father promised. But you are to stay in Jerusalem until you have received power from above.” Jesus Goes to Be Beside His Father

50 M arkaasuu iyaga kaxeeyey ilaa meel ku dhow Beytaniya, oo intuu gacmihii kor u qaaday ayuu barakeeyey.

Jesus led them out as far as Bethany. Then He lifted up His hands and prayed that good would come to them.

51 W axaa dhacay intuu barakaynayay inuu ka tegey, oo waxaa kor loogu qaaday samada.

And while He was praying that good would come to them, He went from them (and was taken up to heaven and

52 M arkaasay isaga caabudeen, oo waxay Yeruusaalem kula noqdeen farxad weyn;

they worshiped Him). Then they went back to Jerusalem with great joy.

53 o o goor walbaba macbudka ayay ku jireen iyagoo Ilaah ammaanaya.

They spent all their time in the house of God honoring and giving thanks to God.
