1 K uwanu waa erayadii axdigii Rabbigu Muuse ku amray, oo uu reer binu Israa'iil kula dhigtay dalkii reer Moo'aab, oo aan ahayn axdigii uu iyaga kula dhigtay Buur Xoreeb.

These are the words of the agreement the Lord told Moses to make with the people of Israel in the land of Moab, as well as the agreement He had made with them at Mount Sinai.

2 M arkaasaa Muuse u wada yeedhay reer binu Israa'iil oo dhan, oo wuxuu ku yidhi, Idinku waad wada aragteen wixii Rabbigu markaad Masar joogteen hortiinna ku sameeyey Fircoon iyo addoommadiisii oo dhan iyo dalkiisii oo dhan,

Moses called all Israel and said to them, “You have seen all the Lord did in front of you in the land of Egypt to Pharaoh and all his servants and all his land.

3 k uwaas oo ahaa jirrabyadii waaweynaa oo indhihiinnu arkeen, iyo calaamooyinkii iyo yaababkii waaweynaa,

You have seen great tests and powerful works.

4 l aakiinse Rabbigu ilaa maantadan la joogo idinma siin qalbi wax garta iyo indho wax arka iyo dhego wax maqla toona.

Yet to this day the Lord has not given you a heart to know, or eyes to see, or ears to hear.

5 O o anigu intii afartan sannadood ah ayaan cidlada idinku dhex kexeeyey, oo dharkiinnii korkiinna kuma duugoobin, kabihiinniina cagihiinna kuma dhammaanin.

I have led you forty years in the desert. Your clothes did not wear out. And your shoes did not wear out on your feet.

6 I dinku ma aydaan cunin kibis, mana aydaan cabbin khamri ama wax lagu sakhraamo toona si aad u garataan inaan anigu ahay Rabbiga Ilaahiinna ah.

You did not eat bread, or drink wine or strong drink, so you might know that I am the Lord your God.

7 O o markaad meeshan timaadeen waxaa inagu soo baxay Siixon oo ahaa boqorkii Xeshboon iyo Coog oo ahaa boqorkii Baashaan, oo innana waynu laynay.

When you came to this place, Sihon the king of Heshbon and Og the king of Bashan came to meet us to fight. But we won the fight.

8 O o dalkoodiina intaan qaadannay ayaan dhaxal u siinnay reer Ruubeen iyo reer Gaad iyo qabiilkii reer Manaseh badhkood.

We took their land and gave it as a gift to the Reubenites, the Gadites, and the half family group of Manasseh.

9 H addaba erayada axdigan xajiya oo yeela inaad ku liibaantaan wax alla wixii aad samaysaan.

So be careful to keep the words of this agreement and obey them so all that you do will go well.

10 M aanta dhammaantiin waxaad hor taagan tihiin Rabbiga Ilaahiinna ah. Waxaa wada jooga madaxdiinnii, iyo qabiilooyinkiinnii, iyo odayaashiinnii, iyo saraakiishiinnii, iyo xataa nimankii reer binu Israa'iil oo dhan,

“Today you all stand before the Lord your God, you, your rulers, your families, your leaders, all the men of Israel,

11 i yo dhallaankiinnii, iyo naagihiinnii, iyo qariibkiinnii xeryihiinna ku dhex jira, xataa kan geedaha idiin jara iyo kan biyaha idiin dhaansha,

your children, your wives, the stranger who is among your tents, from the one who cuts your wood to the one who gets your water.

12 i naad gashaan axdiga Rabbiga Ilaahiinna ah iyo dhaarta Rabbiga Ilaahiinna ahu uu maanta idinla dhiganayo,

You are here to take part in the agreement with the Lord your God, and in His promise which the Lord your God is making with you today.

13 i nuu maanta dad idinka dhigto iyo inuu Ilaah idiin noqdo, siduu idiin sheegay oo uu ugu dhaartay awowayaashiin oo ahaa Ibraahim iyo Isxaaq iyo Yacquub.

So today He will make you His people. He will be your God, just as He told you and as He promised your fathers, Abraham, Isaac and Jacob.

14 O o idinka keligiinna idinla dhigan maayo axdigan iyo dhaartan,

“I am not making this agreement and this promise with you alone.

15 l aakiinse waxaan la dhiganayaa ka maanta inala taagan halkan Rabbiga Ilaaheenna ah hortiisa, iyo ka aan maanta halkan inala taagnaynba,

I am making them with those who stand here with us today before the Lord our God, and with those who are not here with us today.

16 ( waayo, waad ogtihiin sidaan Masar ku dhex degganaan jirnay iyo sidaan u soo dhex marnay quruumihii aad ka soo dhex gudubteen,

You know how we lived in the land of Egypt, and how we passed through the land of the nations on our way here.

17 w aanad aragteen waxyaalahoodii karaahiyada ahaa iyo sanamyadoodii ahaa qoryaha, iyo dhagaxa, iyo lacagta, iyo dahabka, oo iyaga dhex yiil,)

You have seen their sinful things and their gods of wood, stone, silver and gold, which they had with them.

18 w aaba intaasoo uu dhexdiinna ku jiraa nin, ama naag, ama reer, ama qabiil, qalbigiisu maanta uga sii jeestay Rabbiga Ilaaheenna ah inuu u adeego quruumahaas ilaahyadooda, oo waaba intaasoo uu idinku dhex jiraa xidid dhalaa xammeeti iyo dacar,

Be careful not to have any man or woman or family or group among you whose heart turns away from the Lord our God today to go and worship the gods of those nations. Do not let there be a root among you giving poison fruit and bad-tasting plants.

19 o o ay noqon doontaa markuu maqlo habaarkan erayadiisa inuu isagu qalbigiisa ka ducaysto oo isyidhaahdo, Nabad baan heli doonaa, in kastoo aan ku socday madaxadayggayga inaan sakhraannimo ku harraadbeelo.

When one hears the words of this curse, he will say in his pride, ‘I have peace even though I am strong-willed in my heart.’ This will destroy the land that is watered along with the dry land.

20 R abbigu ninkaas saamixi maayo, laakiinse Rabbiga cadhadiisa iyo masayrkiisa ayaa ninkaas ku kululaan doona, oo inkaarta kitaabkan ku qoran oo dhammuna isagay saarnaan doontaa, oo Rabbiguna magiciisa wuu ka tirtiri doonaa inta samada ka hoosaysa oo dhan.

The Lord will never be willing to forgive him. But the Lord will be jealous and His anger will burn against that man. Every curse written in this book will be upon him. And the Lord will take out his name from under heaven.

21 O o Rabbigu wuxuu isaga qabiilooyinka reer binu Israa'iil oo dhan uga dhex sooci doonaa inuu belaayo ugu dejiyo siday yihiin dhammaan inkaaraha axdiga ee ku qoran kitaabkan sharciga.

The Lord will set him apart for trouble from all the families of Israel, with all the curses of the agreement which are written in this book of the Law.

22 O o qarniga soo socda oo ah carruurtiinna dabadiin kici doonta, iyo shisheeyaha dal fog ka iman doonaaba markay arkaan dalkaas belaayadiisa iyo cudurrada Rabbigu ku riday,

“The children to come, your sons who grow up after you, and the stranger who comes from a land far away, will see the troubles and diseases the Lord has sent upon the land. And they will say,

23 i yo in dalka oo dhammu yahay baaruud, iyo cusbo, iyo meel guban, oo aan waxba lagu beerin, aanna dhalin, oo aan cawsna ka bixin innaba sidii markii la afgembiyey Sodom iyo Gomora, iyo Admaah iyo Seboyim oo Rabbigu ku afgembiyey cadhadiisa iyo xanaaqiisa,

‘The whole land is sulphur and salt, a burning waste, not planted and not giving any plants, and no grass grows in it. It is like Sodom and Gomorrah, Admah and Zeboiim, which the Lord destroyed in His anger.’

24 m arkaasay quruumaha oo dhammu odhan doonaan, Rabbigu muxuu dalkan sidaas ugu galay? Oo kulaylka xanaaqan weyn micnihiisu waa maxay?

All the nations will say, ‘Why has the Lord done this to this land? Why was He so angry?’

25 M arkaasaa dadku waxay odhan doonaan, Maxaa yeelay, iyagu waxay ka tageen axdigii uu Rabbiga ah Ilaaha awowayaashood la dhigtay markuu ka soo bixiyey dalkii Masar,

Then men will say, ‘It is because they did not keep the agreement of the Lord, the God of their fathers, which He made with them when He brought them out of the land of Egypt.

26 o o intay tageen ayay u adeegeen oo caabudeen ilaahyo kale oo ayan aqoon, isaguna uusan siin,

They went and served other gods and worshiped them, gods they had not known and whom He had not given to them.

27 o o sidaas daraaddeed ayaa Rabbigu ugu xanaaqay dalkan, inuu ku soo dejiyo kulli inkaarta kitaabkan ku qoran oo dhan.

So the anger of the Lord burned against that land. Every curse was brought upon it that is written in this book.

28 O o Rabbigu dhulkoodii ayuu kaga rujiyey cadho iyo xanaaq iyo dhirif weyn, oo wuxuu ku dhex tuuray dal kaleeto siday maantadan tahay.

The Lord drove them from their land in much anger. And He sent them into another land, as it is today.’

29 W axyaalaha qarsoon waxaa iska leh Rabbiga Ilaaheenna ah, laakiinse waxyaalaha la muujiyey waxaa iska leh innaga iyo carruurteenna weligeenba inaan sharcigan erayadiisa oo dhan yeelno.

“The secret things belong to the Lord our God. But the things that are made known belong to us and to our children forever, so we may obey all the words of this Law.
