They said to them at Shiloh in Canaan, “The Lord said through Moses to give us cities to live in, as well as fields around them for our cattle.”

3 M arkaasaa reer binu Israa'iil waxay dhaxalkoodii reer Laawi ka siiyeen magaalooyinkaas iyo agagaarkooda sidii amarka Rabbigu ahaa.

So the sons of Israel gave these cities and fields of their land to the Levites, as the Lord had said.

4 M arkaasaa saami u soo baxay qolooyinkii reer Qohaad; oo reerkii wadaadkii Haaruun ahaa, kuwaasoo reer Laawi ka mid ahaa, waxay saami kaga heleen reer Yahuudah iyo reer Simecoon, iyo reer Benyaamiin saddex iyo toban magaalo.

The name drawn first was for the families of the Kohathites. The Levites who were children of Aaron the religious leader received thirteen cities from the families of Judah, Simeon and Benjamin.

5 O o reer Qohaad intoodii hadhay waxay saami kaga heleen qolooyinkii reer Efrayim, iyo reer Daan, iyo reer Manaseh badhkood toban magaalo.

The rest of the sons of Kohath by drawing names received ten cities from the families of Ephraim and Dan and the half-family group of Manasseh.

The sons of Gershon by drawing names received thirteen cities from the families of Issachar, Asher, Naphtali and the half-family group of Manasseh in Bashan.

7 O o reer Meraariina sidii ay reerahoodii ahaayeen waxay ka heleen reer Ruubeen, iyo reer Gaad, iyo reer Sebulun laba iyo toban magaalo.

The sons of Merari received twelve cities from the families of Reuben, Gad and Zebulun.

8 O o reer binu Israa'iil magaalooyinkaas iyo agagaarkoodiiba waxay saami ku siiyeen reer Laawi sidii Rabbigu ku amray Muuse.

The sons of Israel by drawing names gave these cities with their fields to the Levites, as the Lord had said through Moses.

9 O o waxaa laga siiyey qabiilkii reer Yahuudah iyo qabiilkii reer Simecoon magaalooyinkan magacooda halkan lagu sheegayo.

They gave from the families of Judah and Simeon the cities given here by name.

10 O o waxaa iska lahaa reerkii Haaruun ee ahaa qolooyinkii reer Qohaad, kuwaasoo ka mid ahaa reer Laawi; maxaa yeelay, iyagaa saamiga hore lahaa.

They were for the sons of Aaron, one of the families of the Kohathites, of the sons of Levi. For their name was drawn first.

11 O o waxaa la siiyey Qiryad Arbac, oo Arbacna wuxuu ahaa Canaaq aabbihiis (oo taasuna waa Xebroon), oo waxay ku tiil dalka buuraha leh ee reer Yahuudah, iyada iyo agagaarkeeda ku wareegsanba.

They gave them Kiriath-arba (that is, Hebron) with the fields around it in the hill country of Judah. (Arba was the father of Anak.)

But the city’s fields and towns had been given to Caleb the son of Jephunneh as his own.

13 O o wadaadkii Haaruun ahaa reerkiisii waxay siiyeen Xebroon iyo agagaarkeedii, oo taasu waxay ahayd magaaladii magangalka u ahayd gacankudhiiglaha, iyo Libnaah iyo agagaarkeedii,

So to the sons of Aaron the religious leader they gave Hebron and Libnah with their fields. Hebron was the city where one who killed a man could go to be safe.

And they gave them Jattir with its fields, Eshtemoa with its fields,

Holon with its fields, Debir with its fields,

16 i yo Cayn iyo agagaarkeedii, iyo Yutaah iyo agagaarkeedii, iyo Beytshemesh iyo agagaarkeedii, oo labadaas qabiil waxay ka heleen sagaal magaalo.

Ain with its fields, Juttah with its fields, and Bethshemesh with its fields. There were nine cities from these two family groups.

17 O o qabiilkii reer Benyaamiinna waxay ka heleen Gibecoon iyo agagaarkeedii, iyo Geeraa iyo agagaarkeedii,

From the family of Benjamin were given Gibeon with its fields, Geba with its fields,

18 i yo Canaatood iyo agagaarkeedii, intaasu waxay ahayd afar magaalo.

Anathoth with its fields, and Almon with its fields, four cities.

19 O o wadaadkii Haaruun ahaa reerkiisii magaalooyinkoodii oo dhammu waxay ahaayeen saddex iyo toban magaalo iyo agagaarkoodii.

For the sons of Aaron, the religious leaders, there were thirteen cities in all, with their fields.

20 O o qolooyinkii reer Qohaad oo ahaa reer Laawi, xataa reer Qohaad intoodii hadhay, waxay magaalooyin saami uga heleen qabiilkii reer Efrayim.

Then cities from the family of Ephraim were given to the rest of the families of the people of Kohath, the Levites.

21 O o waxay iyagii siiyeen Shekem iyo agagaarkeedii, oo waxay ku tiil dalka reer Efrayim oo buuraha leh, oo waxayna ahayd magaaladii magangalka u ahayd gacankudhiiglaha, iyo Geser iyo agagaarkeedii,

They gave them Shechem with its fields in the hill country of Ephraim. A man who killed another person could run to Shechem to be safe. And they gave them Gezer with its fields,

22 i yo Qibsayim iyo agagaarkeedii, iyo Beytxooroon iyo agagaarkeedii, oo intaasu waxay ahayd afar magaalo.

Kibzaim with its fields, and Beth-horon with its fields, four cities.

23 O o qabiilkii reer Daanna waxay ka heleen Elteqaah iyo agagaarkeedii, iyo Gibbetoon iyo agagaarkeedii,

From the family of Dan were given Eletke with its fields, Gibbethon with its fields,

24 i yo Ayaaloon iyo agagaarkeedii, iyo Gad Rimmoon iyo agagaarkeedii, oo intaasu waxay ahayd afar magaalo.

Aijalon with its fields, and Gath-rimmon with its fields, four cities.

25 O o qabiilkii reer Manaseh badhkiisna waxay ka heleen Tacanaag iyo agagaarkeedii, iyo Gad Rimmoon iyo agagaarkeedii, oo intaasu waxay ahayd laba magaalo.

From the half-family group of Manasseh were given Taanach with its fields, and Gathrimmon with its fields, two cities.

26 O o qolooyinkii reer Qohaad intoodii hadhay magaalooyinkoodii oo dhammu waxay ahaayeen toban iyo agagaarkoodii.

There were ten cities in all, with their fields, for the rest of the families of the Kohathites.

From the half-family group of Manasseh they gave Golan in Bashan and Be-eshterah and their fields to the sons of Gershon, one of the Levite families. A man who killed another person could run to Golan in Bashan to be safe. They were given two cities.

From the family of Issachar were given Kishion with its fields, Daberath with its fields,

Jarmuth with its fields, and Engannim with its fields, four cities.

30 O o waxay qabiilkii reer Aasheerna ka heleen Mishaal iyo agagaarkeedii, iyo Cabdoon iyo agagaarkeedii,

From the family of Asher were given Mishal with its fields, Abdon with its fields,

31 i yo Xelqad iyo agagaarkeedii, iyo Rexob iyo agagaarkeedii, oo intaasu waxay ahayd afar magaalo.

Helkath with its fields, and Rehob with its fields, four cities.

32 O o waxay qabiilkii reer Naftaalina ka heleen Qedesh oo ku taal Galili iyo agagaarkeedii, oo taasu waxay ahayd magaaladii magangalka u ahayd gacankudhiiglaha, iyo Xammod Door iyo agagaarkeedii, iyo Qartaan iyo agagaarkeedii, oo intaasu waxay ahayd saddex magaalo.

From the family of Naphtali were given Kedesh in Galilee with its fields, Hammoth-dor with its fields, and Kartan with its fields, three cities. A man who killed another man could run to Kedesh to be safe.

33 O o magaalooyinkii reer Gershoon oo dhan, sidii qolooyinkoodu ahaayeen, saddex iyo toban magaalo iyo agagaarkoodii bay ahaayeen.

The cities for the families of the Gershonites were thirteen in all, with their fields.

34 O o qolooyinkii reer Meraarii oo ahaa intii ka hadhay reer Laawi waxay qabiilkii reer Sebulun ka heleen Yoqnecaam iyo agagaarkeedii, iyo Qartaah iyo agagaarkeedii,

They gave cities to the families of the sons of Merari, the rest of the Levites, from the family of Zebulun. They gave them Jokneam with its fields, Kartah with its fields,

35 i yo Dimnaah iyo agagaarkeedii, iyo Nahalaal iyo agagaarkeedii, oo intaasu waxay ahayd afar magaalo.

Dimnah with its fields, and Nahalal with its fields, four cities.

36 O o waxay qabiilkii reer Ruubeenna ka heleen Beser iyo agagaarkeedii, iyo Yahas iyo agagaarkeedii,

From the family of Reuben were given Bezer with its fields, Jahaz with its fields,

37 i yo Qedemood iyo agagaarkeedii, iyo Mefacad iyo agagaarkeedii, oo intaasu waxay ahayd afar magaalo.

Kedemoth with its fields, and Mephaath with its fields, four cities.

38 O o waxay qabiilkii reer Gaadna ka heleen Raamod oo ku dhex taal Gilecaad iyo agagaarkeedii, oo taasu waxay ahayd magaaladii magangalka u ahayd gacankudhiiglaha, iyo Maxanayim iyo agagaarkeedii,

From the family of Gad was given Ramoth in Gilead with its fields. A man who killed another person could run to Ramoth in Gilead to be safe. And they gave them Mahanaim with its fields,

39 i yo Xeshboon iyo agagaarkeedii, iyo Yaser iyo agagaarkeedii, oo intaasu dhammaantood waxay ahaayeen afar magaalo.

Heshbon with its fields, and Jazer with its fields, four cities in all.

40 O o kulli intaas oo dhammu waxay ahaayeen magaalooyinkii qolooyinkii reer Meraarii iyo xataa reer Laawi intoodii hadhay, oo qaybtoodii waxay ahayd laba iyo toban magaalo.

There were twelve cities in all given to the families of the people of Merari, the rest of the families of the Levites.

41 O o reer Laawi magaalooyinkoodii ay qaybta u heleen ee ku dhex yiil dalkii hantida u ahaa reer binu Israa'iil kulligood waxay ahaayeen siddeed iyo afartan magaalo iyo agagaarkoodii.

The cities of the Levites among the land of the people of Israel were forty-eight cities in all, with their fields.

42 M agaalooyinkaas mid waluba waxay lahayd agagaarkeedii ku wareegsanaa; oo magaalooyinku dhammaantood sidaasay ahaayeen.

Each one of these cities had its fields around it. So it was with all these cities.

43 S idaasuu Rabbigu reer binu Israa'iil u siiyey dhulkii u awowayaashood ugu dhaartay inuu siiyo oo dhan, oo iyana way hantiyeen, wayna iska degeen.

The Lord gave Israel all the land He had promised to give to their fathers. They took it for their own, and lived in it.

44 O o Rabbigu wuxuu iyagii ka nasiyey dadkii ku wareegsanaa, siduu awowayaashood ugu dhaartay oo dhan: oo nin cadaawayaashoodii oo dhan ka mid ihi hortooda isma taagin, oo Rabbigu cadaawayaashoodii oo dhan gacantuu u soo geliyey.

The Lord gave them peace on every side, just as He had promised their fathers. Not one of all those who hated them could stand in front of them. The Lord gave all those who hated them into their hand.

45 O o waxba kama baaqan innaba wixii wanaagsanaa oo Rabbigu u sheegay reer binu Israa'iil; laakiinse kulli way wada ahaadeen.

Every good promise which the Lord had made to the people of Israel came true.
