1 K u alla kii edbinta jecelu aqoon buu jecel yahay, Laakiinse kii canaanta necebu waa doqon.

Whoever loves strong teaching loves much learning, but he who hates strong words is foolish.

2 R abbigu ninka wanaagsan raalli buu ka ahaan doonaa. Laakiinse khaayinka wuu xukumi doonaa.

A good man will get favor from the Lord, but He will punish a man who makes sinful plans.

3 N inna shar kuma dhismi doono, Laakiinse kuwa xaqa ah xididkooda weligiis lama dhaqaajin doono.

A man will not stand by doing what is wrong, but the root of those who are right with God will not be moved.

4 N aagtii toolmoonu waxay ninkeeda u tahay taaj, Laakiinse tii ceebalay ahu waa sida qudhun isaga lafaha kaga jira.

A good wife is the pride and joy of her husband, but she who brings shame is like cancer to his bones.

5 K uwa xaqa ah fikirradoodu waa qumman yihiin, Laakiinse kuwa sharka leh taladoodu waa khiyaano.

The thoughts of those who are right with God can be trusted, but the words of the sinful are false.

6 K uwa sharka leh erayadoodu waa gabbasho ay u gabbadaan si ay dhiig u daadiyaan, Laakiinse kuwa qumman afkooda ayaa samatabbixin doona.

The words of the sinful lie in wait for blood, but the mouth of the faithful will take them away from trouble.

7 K uwa sharka leh waa la afgembiyaa, oo mar dambena lama arki doono, Laakiinse kuwa xaqa ah gurigoodu waa sii taagnaan doonaa.

The sinful are destroyed and are no more, but the house of those who are right with God will stand.

8 N in waxaa loogu bogi doonaa sida xigmaddiisu tahay, Laakiinse kii qalbigiisu qalloocan yahay waa la quudhsan doonaa.

A man will be praised for his wisdom, but a man with a sinful mind will be hated.

9 K ii la fudaydsado oo midiidin lahu Waa ka wanaagsan yahay kii isweyneeya oo cunto u baahan.

A man who has only a little honor and has a servant is better than one who honors himself and does not have bread.

10 N in xaq ahu waa u tudhaa neefkiisa, Laakiinse kuwa sharka leh naxdintoodu waa naxariisla'aan oo keliya.

A man who is right with God cares for his animal, but the sinful man is hard and has no pity.

11 K ii dhulkiisa beertaa cunto badan buu ka dhergi doonaa, Laakiinse kii waxmatarayaal raacaa waa garaad daranyahay.

He who works his land will have all the bread he needs, but he who follows what is of no worth has no wisdom.

12 K an sharka lahu wuxuu damcaa dabinka xumaanfalayaasha, Laakiinse xididka kuwa xaqa ahu midhuu dhalaa.

The sinful man wants what sinful men have, but the root of those who are right with God gives fruit.

13 K an sharka leh waxaa u dabin ah xadgudubka bushimihiisa, Laakiinse kan xaqa ahu dhibaatada wuu ka bixi doonaa.

A sinful man is trapped by the sin of his lips, but those who are right with God will get away from trouble.

14 N in wuxuu wanaag kaga dhergi doonaa midhaha afkiisa, Oo nin walbana waxa gacmihiisu sameeyaan ayaa loo abaalgudi doonaa.

A man will be filled with good from the fruit of his words, and the work of a man’s hands will return to him.

15 N acaska jidkiisu waa la qumman yahay isaga, Laakiinse kii caqli lahu taladuu maqlaa.

The way of a fool is right in his own eyes, but a wise man listens to good teaching.

16 N acaska xanaaqiisa haddiiba waa la gartaa, Laakiinse ninkii miyir lahu ceebtuu qariyaa.

The anger of a fool is known at once, but a wise man does not speak when he is spoken against.

17 K ii runta ku hadlaa wuxuu muujiyaa xaqnimada, Laakiinse markhaatiga beenta ahu wuxuu muujiyaa khiyaanada.

He who speaks the truth tells what is right, but a liar tells lies.

18 W axaa jira mid u hadla sida seef wax mudaysa, Laakiinse kan caqliga leh carrabkiisu waa caafimaad.

There is one whose foolish words cut like a sword, but the tongue of the wise brings healing.

19 B ushintii runta sheegtaa weligeedba way sii taagnaan doontaa, Laakiinse carrabkii beenta sheegaa daqiiqad buu joogaa.

Lips that tell the truth will last forever, but a lying tongue lasts only for a little while.

20 K uwa sharka ku fikira qalbigooda khiyaanaa ku jirta, Laakiinse taliyayaasha nabaddu farxad bay leeyihiin.

Lying is in the heart of those who plan what is bad, but those who plan peace have joy.

21 S harna kan xaqa ah ku dhici maayo, Laakiinse kuwa sharka leh xumaan baa ka buuxsami doonta.

No trouble comes upon those who are right with God, but the sinful are filled with trouble.

22 B ushimaha beenta sheega Rabbigu wuu karhaa. Laakiinse kuwa runta ku shaqeeya wuu ku farxaa.

The Lord hates lying lips, but those who speak the truth are His joy.

23 N inkii miyir lahu aqoontuu qariyaa, Laakiinse qalbiga nacasyadu wuxuu naadiyaa nacasnimo.

A wise man hides how much learning he has, but the heart of fools makes known their foolish way.

24 K uwa dadaala gacantoodu wax bay xukumi doontaa, Laakiinse caajisiinta hawl baa la saari doonaa.

The hand of those who do their best will rule, but the lazy hand will be made to work.

25 N inkii caloolxumo gashaa wuu soo gotaa, Laakiinse eray wanaagsanu waa ka farxiyaa isaga.

Worry in the heart of a man weighs it down, but a good word makes it glad.

26 K an xaqa ahu deriskiisuu hanuuniyaa, Laakiinse kuwa sharka leh jidkoodu wuu ambiyaa iyaga.

The man who is right with God is a teacher to his neighbor, but the way of the sinful leads them the wrong way.

27 N inkii caajis ahu ma dubto wuxuu soo ugaadhsaday, Laakiinse ninkii dadaala maalkiisu waa qaali.

The lazy man will not cook the food he has caught, but the man who does his best has what is of great worth.

28 J idka xaqnimada nolol baa taal; Oo waddadeedana dhimasho kuma jirto.

Life is in the way of those who are right with God, and in its path there is no death.
