1 Q albiga qasdiyadiisa dadkaa leh, Laakiinse carrabka jawaabtiisu xagga Rabbigay ka timaadaa.

The plans of the heart belong to man, but the answer of the tongue is from the Lord.

2 N in jidadkiisa oo dhammu waa la nadiifsan yihiin isaga, Laakiinse Rabbigu ruuxyaduu miisaamaa.

All the ways of a man are pure in his own eyes, but the Lord weighs the thoughts of the heart.

3 S huqulladaada Rabbiga ku aamin, Oo fikirradaaduna way taagnaan doonaan.

Trust your work to the Lord, and your plans will work out well.

4 R abbigu wax kastuu isu abuuray, Haah, oo xataa ka sharka leh wuxuu u abuuray maalinta sharkaa.

The Lord has made all things for His own plans, even the sinful for the day of trouble.

5 K u alla kii qalbiga ka kibirsanu Rabbiga waa u karaahiyo, Waxaan aad idiin ku xaqiijinayaa inaan isagu taqsiir la'aan doonayn.

Everyone who is proud in heart is a shame to the Lord. For sure, that one will be punished.

6 W axaa dembiga lagu kafaaraggudaa naxariis iyo run, Oo dadkuna waxay sharka kaga fogaadaan Rabbiga ka cabsashadiisa.

Sin has been paid for by loving-kindness and truth. The fear of the Lord keeps one away from sin.

7 M arkii Rabbigu ku farxo nin jidadkiis, Wuxuu nabad dhex dhigaa isaga iyo xataa cadaawayaashiisa.

When the ways of a man are pleasing to the Lord, He makes even those who hate him to be at peace with him.

8 W ax yar oo xaqnimo la jirto Ayaa ka wanaagsan wax badan oo kordha oo xaqdarro la jirto.

A little earned in a right way is better than much earned in a wrong way.

9 N in walba qalbigiisaa jidkiisa u fiirsada, Laakiinse Rabbigaa tallaabooyinkiisa toosiya.

The mind of a man plans his way, but the Lord shows him what to do.

10 X ukunka Rabbigu wuxuu ku jiraa bushimaha boqorka, Afkiisuna kuma xadgudbo garsooridda.

The lips of the king should decide as God would. His mouth should not sin in deciding what is right or wrong.

11 M iisaankii iyo kafadihii xaq ah Rabbigaa leh, Dhagaxyada miisaanka oo kiishka ku jira oo dhammuna waa shuqulkiisa.

What is fair in telling the weight of something belongs to the Lord. He cares about all the weights of the bag.

12 W aa u karaahiyo boqorrada inay xumaan falaan. Waayo, carshigu xaqnimuu ku dhismaa.

It is a hated thing for kings to do what is wrong. For a throne is built on what is right.

13 B oqorradu bushimaha xaqa ah way ku farxaan, Oo kii si qumman u hadlana way jecel yihiin.

Lips that speak what is right and good are the joy of kings, and he who speaks the truth is loved.

14 B oqor cadhadiisu waa sida warqaadayaal geeriyeed, Laakiinse nin caqli leh ayaa qaboojin doona.

The anger of a king carries death, but a wise man will quiet it.

15 N uurka wejiga boqorka nolol baa ku jirta, Oo raallinimadiisuna waa sida daruurta roobka dambe.

Life is in the light of a king’s face, and his favor is like a cloud bringing the spring rain.

16 I n xigmad la helaa intee bay ka sii wanaagsan tahay in dahab la helo! In waxgarasho la helaana waa laga doortaa in lacag la helo.

To get wisdom is much better than getting gold. To get understanding should be chosen instead of silver.

17 K uwa qumman jidkoodu waa inay sharka ka leexdaan, Kii jidkiisa dhawraa naftiisuu ilaaliyaa.

The road of the faithful turns away from sin. He who watches his way keeps his life.

18 K ibirku wuxuu hor socdaa baabba', Oo madaxweynaanuna waxay hor socotaa dhicid.

Pride comes before being destroyed and a proud spirit comes before a fall.

19 I n kuwa kibirsan booli lala qaybsado Waxaa ka sii wanaagsan in kuwa hooseeya laysla sii hoosaysiiyo.

It is better to be poor in spirit among poor people, than to divide the riches that were taken with the proud.

20 K ii hadalka dhegaystaa wax wanaagsan buu heli doonaa, Oo ku alla kii Rabbiga aaminaana waa barakaysan yahay.

He who listens to the Word will find good, and happy is he who trusts in the Lord.

21 K ii qalbigiisu caqli leeyahay waxaa loogu yeedhi doonaa mid miyir leh, Oo bushimaha macaankooduna waxbarashuu kordhiyaa.

The wise in heart will be called understanding. And to speak in a pleasing way helps people know what you say is right.

22 W axgarashadu waa u il nololeed kii haysta, Laakiinse edbinta nacasyadu waa nacasnimo.

Understanding is a well of life to him who has it, but to speak strong words to fools is of no use.

23 K ii caqli leh qalbigiisu afkiisuu wax baraa, Oo waxbarashuu bushimihiisa u kordhiyaa.

The heart of the wise has power over his mouth and adds learning to his lips.

24 H adalkii wacanu waa sida awlallo shinniyeed oo kale, Nafta wuu u macaan yahay, oo lafahana waa u caafimaad.

Pleasing words are like honey. They are sweet to the soul and healing to the bones.

25 W axaa jirta waddo dadka la qumman, Laakiinse dhammaadkeedu waa jidadkii dhimashada.

There is a way that looks right to a man, but its end is the way of death.

26 K ii hawshooda gaajadiisuu u hawshoodaa, Waayo, afkiisaa qasba isaga.

A workman’s hunger works for him. The need of his mouth pushes him on.

27 N inkii waxmatare ahu xumaan buu qodqodaa, Oo bushimihiisana waxaa ku jira dab wax gubaya.

A man of no worth looks for wrong-doing. His words are like burning fire.

28 N inkii qalloocanu muran buu beeraa, Oo kii xan badanuna wuxuu kala kaxeeyaa saaxiibbo.

A bad man spreads trouble. One who hurts people with bad talk separates good friends.

29 N inka wax dulmaa deriskiisuu sasabtaa, Oo wuxuu u kaxeeyaa jid aan wanaagsanayn.

A man who hurts people tempts his neighbor to do the same, and leads him in a way that is not good.

30 K ii indhaha isugu qabta inuu wax qalloocan hindiso, Oo bushimihiisa qaniinaa, shar buu soo wadaa.

He who winks his eyes plans to do bad things. He who closes his lips allows sinful things to happen.

31 M adaxa cirro lahu waa taaj sharfeed Haddii laga helo jidka xaqnimada.

Hair that is turning white is like a crown of honor. It is found in the way of being right with God.

32 K ii cadhada u gaabiyaa waa ka wanaagsan yahay kii xoog badan, Oo kii ruuxiisa xukumaana waa ka wanaagsan yahay kii magaalo qabsada.

He who is slow to anger is better than the powerful. And he who rules his spirit is better than he who takes a city.

33 S aamiga waxaa lagu tuuraa dhabta, Laakiinse go'aankiisa oo dhan Rabbigaa leh.

Man decides by throwing an object into the lap, but it is the Lord only who decides.
