1 M arkaasaa Samuu'eel wuxuu Saa'uul ku yidhi, Rabbigu wuxuu ii soo diray inaan kuu subko inaad boqor u ahaatid dadkiisa reer binu Israa'iil; haddaba bal maqal codka erayada Rabbiga.
Samuel said to Saul, “The Lord sent me to choose you to be king over His people Israel. Now listen to the Words of the Lord.
2 R abbiga ciidammadu wuxuu leeyahay, Reer binu Israa'iil markay Masar ka soo baxeen, Camaaleq wuxuu ku sameeyey iyo siduu jidka ugu hor joogsaday waan ogaaday.
This is what the Lord of All says. ‘I will punish Amalek for what he did to Israel in standing against them on the way, when they came up from Egypt.
3 H addaba tag oo reer Camaaleq laa, oo waxay haystaan oo dhan wada baabbi'i, oo iyaga innaba ha u tudhin, laakiinse wada laa nin iyo naag, iyo dhallaan iyo caanonuugba, iyo dibi iyo ido, iyo geel iyo dameerroba.
Now go and destroy Amalek. Destroy all they have, and do not let them live. Kill both man and woman, child and baby, cattle and sheep, camel and donkey.’”
4 M arkaasaa Saa'uul dadkii u yeedhay, oo Tela'iim buu ku tiriyey, oo waxay noqdeen laba boqol oo kun oo nin oo lug ah, iyo toban kun oo nin ee reer Yahuudah ah.
So Saul called the people together and numbered them in Telaim. There were 200, 000 foot soldiers and 10, 000 men of Judah.
5 K olkaasuu Saa'uul yimid magaaladii reer Camaaleq, oo dooxadii buu ugu soo dhuuntay.
Saul came to the city of Amalek and hid, waiting in the valley.
6 M arkaasaa Saa'uul wuxuu reer Qeyn ku yidhi, Taga oo ka dhex baxa reer Camaaleq, yaanan idinku dhex baabbi'ine; waayo, markii ay reer binu Israa'iil oo dhammu Masar ka soo baxeen waad u wada roonaateen. Sidaas aawadeed reer Qeyn way ka dhex baxeen reer Camaaleq.
Saul said to the Kenites, “Go, leave the Amalekites, or I might destroy you with them. For you showed kindness to all the people of Israel when they came up from Egypt.” So the Kenites left the Amalekites.
7 O o Saa'uul wuxuu reer Camaaleq ku laayay xagga Xawiilaah ilaa xagga Shuur, taasoo ku taal Masar horteeda.
Then Saul destroyed the Amalekites, from Havilah as far as Shur, east of Egypt.
8 O o boqorkii reer Camaaleq oo Agag ahaa isagoo nool buu qabsaday, laakiinse dadkii kale oo dhan seef buu ku wada baabbi'iyey.
He took Agag the king of the Amalekites alive, and destroyed all the people with the sword.
9 L aakiinse Saa'uul iyo dadkiiba way reebeen Agag, iyo intii ugu wanaagsanayd oo dhan oo idihii, iyo dibidii, iyo xoolihii shishislaa, iyo wanankii yaryaraa, iyo wixii wanaagsanaa oo dhan; oo ma ay doonayn inay wada baabbi'iyaan; laakiinse waxay wada baabbi'iyeen wixii la quudhsaday iyo intii liidatay oo dhan.
But Saul and the people did not kill Agag and the best of the sheep, the cattle, the fat animals ready to be killed, the lambs, and all that was good. They would not destroy them. But they destroyed everything that was hated and was of no worth. Saul Is No Longer King
10 M arkaasaa Samuu'eel waxaa u yimid Eraygii Rabbiga oo ku leh,
The Word of the Lord came to Samuel, saying,
11 W axaan ka qoomamoonayaa inaan Saa'uul boqor ka dhigay; waayo, lasocodkaygii dib buu uga noqday, oo mana uu oofin amarradaydii. Oo Samuu'eelna wuu cadhooday oo habeenkii oo dhan Rabbiguu u qaylinayay.
“I am sorry that I have made Saul king. For he has turned away from following Me. He has not done what I told him to do.” Samuel was much troubled in his heart. He cried out to the Lord all night.
12 M arkaasaa Samuu'eel aroor hore kacay, oo wuxuu damcay inuu Saa'uul ka hor tago; oo waxaa Samuu'eel loo sheegay oo lagu yidhi, Saa'uul baa yimid Karmel, oo bal eeg, halkaas tiir xusuus ah ayuu ka taagtay, oo intuu wareegay ayuu gudbay, oo Gilgaal ku dhaadhacay.
When Samuel got up early in the morning to meet Saul, he was told, “Saul came to Carmel and set up a stone in his honor. Then he turned and went down to Gilgal.”
13 O o Samuu'eelna Saa'uul buu u yimid; markaasaa Saa'uul ku yidhi isagii, Rabbigu ha ku barakeeyo; anigu amarkii Rabbiga waan oofiyey.
Samuel came to Saul, and Saul said to him, “May the Lord bring good to you. I have done what the Lord told me to do.”
14 M arkaasaa Samuu'eel wuxuu yidhi, Haddaba waa maxay micneheedu cidan idaha ee aan dhegahayga ku maqlayaa, iyo cida dibida ee aan maqlayaa?
But Samuel said, “Then why do I hear the sounds of sheep and cattle?”
15 O o Saa'uulna wuxuu yidhi, Reer Camaaleq bay ka keeneen; waayo, dadku waxay u reebeen intii ugu wanaagsanayd ee idihii iyo dibidii inay allabari ugu bixiyaan Rabbiga Ilaahaaga ah; intii kalese dhammaantood waannu baabbi'innay.
Saul said, “They have brought them from the Amalekites. For the people saved the best of the sheep and cattle to give to the Lord your God. But we have destroyed all the rest.”
16 M arkaasaa Samuu'eel wuxuu Saa'uul ku yidhi, Bal sug, oo anna waxaan kuu sheegayaa wixii Rabbigu xalay igu yidhi. Markaasuu yidhi, Bal ii sheeg.
Then Samuel said to Saul, “Stop! I will tell you what the Lord said to me last night.” And Saul said to him, “Speak.”
17 M arkaasaa Samuu'eel wuxuu yidhi, In kastoo aad isla yarayd, sow madax lagaagama dhigin qabiilooyinka reer binu Israa'iil? Oo Rabbigu waa kuu subkay inaad ahaato boqor u taliya reer binu Israa'iil;
Samuel said, “Is it not true that even when you were not important in your own eyes, you were made the head of the families of Israel? The Lord chose you to be king over Israel.
18 o o Rabbigu sodcaal buu kuu diray, oo kugu yidhi, Tag oo wada baabbi'i dembilayaasha reer Camaaleq, oo la dirir ilaa ay baabba'aan.
And the Lord sent you to go and destroy the sinners, the Amalekites, and fight against them until they are no more.
19 H addaba maxaad Rabbiga codkiisa u addeeci weyday, oo aadse ugu boodday wixii la dhacay, oo maxaad u samaysay wixii Rabbiga hortiisa sharka ku ahaa?
Why then did you not obey the voice of the Lord? You rushed upon what was left after the battle and did what was sinful in the Lord’s eyes.”
20 M arkaasaa Saa'uul wuxuu Samuu'eel ku yidhi, Waan addeecay Rabbiga codkiisii, oo waxaan maray jidkii Rabbigu igu diray, oo Agag oo ah boqorkii reer Camaaleq ayaan keenay, oo reer Camaaleqna dhammaan waan wada baabbi'iyey.
Saul said to Samuel, “I did obey the voice of the Lord. I went where the Lord sent me. I have brought Agag the king of Amalek. And I have destroyed the Amalekites.
21 L aakiinse dadkii wax bay ka qaateen xoolihii la dhacay ee ahaa ido iyo dibi, iyo waxyaalihii khaaska ahaa ee la nidray inay Gilgaal allabari ugu bixiyaan Rabbiga Ilaahaaga ah.
But the people took some of their things that were left. They took sheep and cattle and the best of the things to be destroyed, to give to the Lord your God at Gilgal.”
22 M arkaasaa Samuu'eel yidhi, Rabbigu miyuu aad ugu farxaa qurbaanno la gubo iyo allabaryo, siduu ugu farxo in codka Rabbiga la addeeco? Bal eeg, addeeciddu waa ka wanaagsan tahay allabariga, maqlidduna waa ka wanaagsan tahay baruurta wananka.
Samuel said, “Is the Lord pleased as much with burnt gifts as He is when He is obeyed? See, it is better to obey than to give gifts. It is better to listen than to give the fat of rams.
23 W aayo, caasinimadu waxay la mid tahay dembiga sixirka, madaxadaygguna wuxuu la mid yahay shar iyo sanam caabudidda. Waxaad diidday Eraygii Rabbiga, oo sidaas daraaddeed isna wuxuu kuu diiday inaad boqor sii ahaatid.
To go against what you are told is like the sin of witchcraft. Not to obey is like the sin of worshiping false gods. You have turned away from the Word of the Lord. So He has turned away from you being king.”
24 M arkaasaa Saa'uul wuxuu Samuu'eel ku yidhi, Waan dembaabay, waayo, amarkii Rabbiga, iyo erayadaadiiba waan ku xadgudbay, maxaa yeelay, dadkii baan ka cabsaday, codkoodiina waan addeecay.
Then Saul said to Samuel, “I have sinned. I have sinned against the Word of the Lord and your words, because I was afraid of the people and listened to them.
25 H addaba waan ku baryayaaye dembigayga iga cafi, oo mar kale ila noqo, aan Rabbiga soo caabudee.
Now I beg you, forgive my sin and return with me, that I may worship the Lord.”
26 O o Samuu'eelna wuxuu Saa'uul ku yidhi, Kula noqon maayo, waayo, Eraygii Rabbigaad diidday, oo Rabbigaana kuu diiday inaad sii ahaatid boqor reer binu Israa'iil u taliya.
But Samuel said to Saul, “I will not return with you. For you have turned away from the Word of the Lord. And the Lord has turned away from you being king over Israel.”
27 O o markii Samuu'eel ka jeestay oo uu damcay inuu tago, ayuu qabsaday darafkii khamiiskiisa, wuuna dillaacay.
As Samuel turned to go, Saul took hold of part of his clothing, and it tore.
28 M arkaasaa Samuu'eel isagii ku yidhi, Maanta Rabbigu boqortooyadii reer binu Israa'iil buu kaa dillaaciyey, wuxuuna siiyey mid deriskaaga ah oo kaa sii wanaagsan.
So Samuel said to him, “Today the Lord has torn the rule of Israel away from you. He has given it to your neighbor who is better than you.
29 K an xoogga reer binu Israa'iil ahna been sheegi maayo, qoomamaynna maayo; waayo, isagu ma aha nin qoomamooda.
And the shining greatness of Israel will not lie or change His mind. For He is not a man that He should change His mind.”
30 M arkaasuu yidhi, Waan dembaabay; haddaba waan ku baryayaaye, igu murwee duqowda dadkayga hortooda, iyo reer binu Israa'iil hortooda, oo mar kale ila noqo aan Rabbiga Ilaahaaga ah soo caabudee.
Saul said, “I have sinned. But I beg you, honor me now in front of the leaders of my people and in front of Israel. Return with me, that I may worship the Lord your God.”
31 H addaba Samuu'eel mar kaluu Saa'uul la noqday, oo Saa'uulna Rabbiguu soo caabuday.
So Samuel returned with Saul, and Saul worshiped the Lord.
32 M arkaasaa Samuu'eel wuxuu yidhi, Halkan iigu keena boqorka reer Camaaleq ee Agag ah. Kolkaasaa Agag u yimid isagoo qalbi san. Oo wuxuu yidhi, Hubaal geerida qadhaadhkeedii waa i dhaafay.
Then Samuel said, “Bring me Agag, the king of the Amalekites.” Agag was happy when he came to him. Agag said, “For sure the bad feelings of death are past.”
33 O o Samuu'eelna wuxuu ku yidhi, Sida seeftaadu dumarka u ilmo tirtay, saasoo kalay hooyadaana dumarka dhexdiisa ugu ilmola'aan doontaa. Oo Samuu'eelna Agag ayuu cad cad ugu jarjaray Gilgaal dhexdeeda Rabbiga hortiisa.
But Samuel said, “As your sword has killed the children of women, so will your mother have no children.” And Samuel cut Agag to pieces before the Lord at Gilgal.
34 M arkaasaa Samuu'eel Raamaah tegey; oo Saa'uulna wuxuu tegey xaggii gurigiisii oo ku yiil Gibecaahdii Saa'uul.
Then Samuel went to Ramah, and Saul went up to his house at Gibeah of Saul.
35 S amuu'eelna mar dambe uma iman inuu Saa'uul soo arko ilaa maalintii uu dhintay; laakiin Samuu'eel baa Saa'uul u ooyay; oo Rabbiguna wuxuu ka qoomamooday inuu Saa'uul ka dhigay boqor u taliya reer binu Israa'iil.
Samuel did not see Saul again until the day of his death. But Samuel was filled with sorrow because of Saul. And the Lord was sorry that He had made Saul king over Israel.
