1 T he transgression of the wicked saith within my heart, There is no fear of God before his eyes.

A transgressão fala ao ímpio no íntimo do seu coração; não há temor de Deus perante os seus olhos.

2 F or he flattereth himself in his own eyes, That his iniquity will not be found out and be hated.

Porque em seus próprios olhos se lisonjeia, cuidando que a sua iniqüidade não será descoberta e detestada.

3 T he words of his mouth are iniquity and deceit: He hath ceased to be wise and to do good.

As palavras da sua boca são malícia e engano; deixou de ser prudente e de fazer o bem.

4 H e deviseth iniquity upon his bed; He setteth himself in a way that is not good; He abhorreth not evil.

Maquina o mal na sua cama; põe-se em caminho que não é bom; não odeia o mal.

5 T hy lovingkindness, O Jehovah, is in the heavens; Thy faithfulness reacheth unto the skies.

A tua benignidade, Senhor, chega até os céus, e a tua fidelidade até as nuvens.

6 T hy righteousness is like the mountains of God; Thy judgments are a great deep: O Jehovah, thou preservest man and beast.

A tua justiça é como os montes de Deus, os teus juízos são como o abismo profundo. Tu, Senhor, preservas os homens e os animais.

7 H ow precious is thy lovingkindness, O God! And the children of men take refuge under the shadow of thy wings.

Quão preciosa é, ó Deus, a tua benignidade! Os filhos dos homens se refugiam ã sombra das tuas asas.

8 T hey shall be abundantly satisfied with the fatness of thy house; And thou wilt make them drink of the river of thy pleasures.

Eles se fartarão da gordura da tua casa, e os farás beber da corrente das tuas delícias;

9 F or with thee is the fountain of life: In thy light shall we see light.

pois em ti está o manancial da vida; na tua luz vemos a luz.

10 O h continue thy lovingkindness unto them that know thee, And thy righteousness to the upright in heart.

Continua a tua benignidade aos que te conhecem, e a tua justiça aos retos de coração.

11 L et not the foot of pride come against me, And let not the hand of the wicked drive me away.

Não venha sobre mim o pé da soberba, e não me mova a mão dos ímpios.

12 T here are the workers of iniquity fallen: They are thrust down, and shall not be able to rise.

Ali caídos estão os que praticavam a iniqüidade; estão derrubados, e não se podem levantar.
