1 Т огава целият Израел се събра при Давид в Хеврон и казаха: Ето, ние сме твоя кост и твоя плът.

Then all Israel gathered to David at Hebron and said, “Behold, we are your bone and your flesh.

2 И по-рано още, и докато Саул царуваше, ти беше, който извеждаше и въвеждаше Израел, и на тебе Господ, твоят Бог, каза: Ти ще пасеш народа Ми Израел и ти ще бъдеш вожд над народа Ми Израел.

In times past, even when Saul was king, you were the one who led out and brought in Israel; and the Lord your God said to you, ‘ You shall shepherd My people Israel, and you shall be prince over My people Israel.’”

3 И така, всички Израелеви старейшини дойдоха при царя в Хеврон; и Давид сключи завет с тях пред Господа в Хеврон; и те помазаха Давид за цар над Израел според Господнето слово чрез Самуил.

So all the elders of Israel came to the king at Hebron, and David made a covenant with them in Hebron before the Lord; and they anointed David king over Israel, according to the word of the Lord through Samuel. Jerusalem, Capital City

4 Т огава Давид и целият Израел отидоха в Йерусалим (който беше Евус), където бяха жителите на земята, йевусейците.

Then David and all Israel went to Jerusalem ( that is, Jebus); and the Jebusites, the inhabitants of the land, were there.

5 А жителите на Евус казаха на Давид: Няма да влезеш тук. Обаче Давид превзе крепостта Сион; това е Давидовият град.

The inhabitants of Jebus said to David, “You shall not enter here.” Nevertheless David captured the stronghold of Zion (that is, the city of David).

6 Д авид каза: Който пръв удари йевусейците, той ще бъде военачалник и вожд. И Йоав, Саруииният син, се качи пръв; и стана военачалник.

Now David had said, “Whoever strikes down a Jebusite first shall be chief and commander.” Joab the son of Zeruiah went up first, so he became chief.

7 Т огава Давид се засели в крепостта; затова тя бе наречена Давидов град.

Then David dwelt in the stronghold; therefore it was called the city of David.

8 Т ой съгради града околовръст от Мило и наоколо; а Йоав поправи останалата част от града.

He built the city all around, from the Millo even to the surrounding area; and Joab repaired the rest of the city.

9 И Давид преуспяваше и ставаше все по-велик, защото Господ на Силите беше с него.

David became greater and greater, for the Lord of hosts was with him. David’s Mighty Men

10 А ето началниците на силните мъже, които имаше Давид, които заедно с целия Израел се подвизаваха с него за царството му, за да го направят цар според Господнето слово относно Израел.

Now these are the heads of the mighty men whom David had, who gave him strong support in his kingdom, together with all Israel, to make him king, according to the word of the Lord concerning Israel.

11 А ето броя на силните мъже, които имаше Давид: Ясовеам, Ахмоновият син, главен военачалник; той, като замахваше с копието си против триста души неприятели, ги уби в едно сражение.

These constitute the list of the mighty men whom David had: Jashobeam, the son of a Hachmonite, the chief of the thirty; he lifted up his spear against three hundred whom he killed at one time.

12 С лед него беше ахохиецът Елеазар, Додовият син, който беше един от тримата силни мъже.

After him was Eleazar the son of Dodo, the Ahohite, who was one of the three mighty men.

13 Т ой беше с Давид във Фас-дамим, когато филистимците се събраха за бой там, където имаше къс земя, пълна с ечемик; и когато народът побегна пред филистимците,

He was with David at Pasdammim when the Philistines were gathered together there to battle, and there was a plot of ground full of barley; and the people fled before the Philistines.

14 т е застанаха сред нивата и я защитаваха, и поразиха филистимците; и Господ извърши голямо избавление.

They took their stand in the midst of the plot and defended it, and struck down the Philistines; and the Lord saved them by a great victory.

15 П осле трима от тридесетте военачалници слязоха до скалата при Давид в Одоламската пещера; а филистимският стан беше разположен в Рафаимската долина.

Now three of the thirty chief men went down to the rock to David, into the cave of Adullam, while the army of the Philistines was camping in the valley of Rephaim.

16 И Давид, като беше тогава в канарата, а филистимският гарнизон беше по това време във Витлеем,

David was then in the stronghold, while the garrison of the Philistines was then in Bethlehem.

17 и Давид, като пожела, каза: Кой би ми дал да пия вода от Витлеемския кладенец, който е при портата;

David had a craving and said, “Oh that someone would give me water to drink from the well of Bethlehem, which is by the gate!”

18 т о тези трима преминаха през филистимския стан и наляха вода от Витлеемския кладенец, който е при портата, и като взеха вода, донесоха на Давид. Но Давид отказа да я пие, а я възля на Господа, като каза:

So the three broke through the camp of the Philistines and drew water from the well of Bethlehem which was by the gate, and took it and brought it to David; nevertheless David would not drink it, but poured it out to the Lord;

19 Д а не ми даде моят Бог да сторя това! Да пия ли кръвта на тези мъже, които изложиха живота си на опасност? Защото с опасност за живота си я донесоха. Затова отказа да я пие. Това направиха тези трима силни мъже.

and he said, “Be it far from me before my God that I should do this. Shall I drink the blood of these men who went at the risk of their lives? For at the risk of their lives they brought it.” Therefore he would not drink it. These things the three mighty men did.

20 Й оавовият брат Ависей беше главен между другите трима; защото той, като замахваше с копието си против триста души неприятели, ги уби и си придоби име между тримата.

As for Abshai the brother of Joab, he was chief of the thirty, and he swung his spear against three hundred and killed them; and he had a name as well as the thirty.

21 М ежду тримата той беше по-славен от другите двама и им стана началник; но не стигна до първите трима.

Of the three in the second rank he was the most honored and became their commander; however, he did not attain to the first three.

22 В анайя, Йодаевият син, син на един храбър мъж от Кавсеил, който беше извършил храбри дела - той уби двамата моавски мъже, които се биеха като лъвове; също той слезе и уби лъва сред рова в снежния ден;

Benaiah the son of Jehoiada, the son of a valiant man of Kabzeel, mighty in deeds, struck down the two sons of Ariel of Moab. He also went down and killed a lion inside a pit on a snowy day.

23 п ри това той уби египтянина, мъж с голям ръст, пет лакътя висок; в ръката на египтянина имаше копие като кросно на тъкач; а Ванайя слезе при него само с тояга и като грабна копието от ръката на египтянина, го уби със собственото му копие.

He killed an Egyptian, a man of great stature five cubits tall. Now in the Egyptian’s hand was a spear like a weaver’s beam, but he went down to him with a club and snatched the spear from the Egyptian’s hand and killed him with his own spear.

24 Т ези неща направи Ванайя, Йодаевият син, и си придоби име между тези трима силни мъже.

These things Benaiah the son of Jehoiada did, and had a name as well as the three mighty men.

25 Е то, той стана по-силен от тридесетте, но не стигна до първите трима. И Давид го постави над телохранителите си.

Behold, he was honored among the thirty, but he did not attain to the three; and David appointed him over his guard.

26 А силните мъже между войските бяха: Асаил, Йоавовият брат, Елханан, син на Додо от Витлеем.

Now the mighty men of the armies were Asahel the brother of Joab, Elhanan the son of Dodo of Bethlehem,

27 С амот арорецът, Хелис фелонецът,

Shammoth the Harorite, Helez the Pelonite,

28 И рас, син на текоеца Екис, Авезер анатонецът,

Ira the son of Ikkesh the Tekoite, Abiezer the Anathothite,

29 С ивехай хустанецът, Илай ахохиецът,

Sibbecai the Hushathite, Ilai the Ahohite,

30 М аарай нетофатецът, Хелед, син на нетофатеца Ваана,

Maharai the Netophathite, Heled the son of Baanah the Netophathite,

31 И тай, син на Ривайя от Гавая, която принадлежеше на Вениаминовите потомци, Ванайя пиратонецът,

Ithai the son of Ribai of Gibeah of the sons of Benjamin, Benaiah the Pirathonite,

32 У рай от долините Гаас, Авиил арватецът,

Hurai of the brooks of Gaash, Abiel the Arbathite,

33 А змавет варумецът, Елиав саалвонецът,

Azmaveth the Baharumite, Eliahba the Shaalbonite,

the sons of Hashem the Gizonite, Jonathan the son of Shagee the Hararite,

Ahiam the son of Sacar the Hararite, Eliphal the son of Ur,

Hepher the Mecherathite, Ahijah the Pelonite,

37 Е сро кармилецът, Наарай, Есвеевият син,

Hezro the Carmelite, Naarai the son of Ezbai,

38 Й оил, Натановият брат, Мивар, Аргиевият син,

Joel the brother of Nathan, Mibhar the son of Hagri,

39 С елек амонецът, Нахарай виротецът, оръженосецът на Йоав, Саруиния син,

Zelek the Ammonite, Naharai the Berothite, the armor bearer of Joab the son of Zeruiah,

40 И раз йетерецът, Гарив йетерецът,

Ira the Ithrite, Gareb the Ithrite,

41 У рия хетеецът, Завад, Аалаевият син,

Uriah the Hittite, Zabad the son of Ahlai,

42 А дин, син на рувимеца Сиза, началник на Рувимовите синове, и тридесет души с него,

Adina the son of Shiza the Reubenite, a chief of the Reubenites, and thirty with him,

43 А нан, син на Мааха, Йосафат митнецът,

Hanan the son of Maacah and Joshaphat the Mithnite,

44 О зия астеротецът, Сама и Еиил, синове на ароиреца Хотам,

Uzzia the Ashterathite, Shama and Jeiel the sons of Hotham the Aroerite,

45 Е дин, син на Симрий, брат му Йоха, тисецът,

Jediael the son of Shimri and Joha his brother, the Tizite,

46 Е лиил маавецът, Еривай и Йосавия, Елнаамови синове, Етем моавецът,

Eliel the Mahavite and Jeribai and Joshaviah, the sons of Elnaam, and Ithmah the Moabite,

47 Е лиил, Овид и Ясиил месоваецът.

Eliel and Obed and Jaasiel the Mezobaite.
