1 L 'Éternel parla à Moïse, et dit:

The Lord said to Moses,

2 P arle aux enfants d'Israël, et dis-leur: Quand vous serez entrés dans le pays que je vous donne pour y établir vos demeures,

“Say to the people of Israel, ‘When you go into the land where you are to live, which I am giving you,

3 e t que vous offrirez à l'Éternel un sacrifice consumé par le feu, soit un holocauste, soit un sacrifice en accomplissement d'un voeu ou en offrande volontaire, ou bien dans vos fêtes, pour produire avec votre gros ou votre menu bétail une agréable odeur à l'Éternel, -

then give a gift in worship by fire to the Lord. Give a gift from the herd or the flock, a burnt gift, or a gift to keep a special promise, or a free-will gift, or one during special suppers. This will be to make a pleasing smell to the Lord.

4 c elui qui fera son offrande à l'Éternel présentera en offrande un dixième de fleur de farine pétrie dans un quart de hin d'huile,

The one who brings his gift will bring to the Lord a grain gift of one-tenth part of a basket of fine flour mixed with one-fourth part of a large jar of oil.

5 e t tu feras une libation d'un quart de hin de vin, avec l'holocauste ou le sacrifice, pour chaque agneau.

And make ready one-fourth part of a large jar of wine to pour over the burnt gift or for each lamb given on the altar in worship.

6 P our un bélier, tu présenteras en offrande deux dixièmes de fleur de farine pétrie dans un tiers de hin d'huile,

Or for a ram, make ready a grain gift of two-tenths part of a basket of fine flour mixed with one-third part of a large jar of oil.

7 e t tu feras une libation d'un tiers de hin de vin, comme offrande d'une agréable odeur à l'Éternel.

Then make one-third part of a large jar of wine for the drink gift, a pleasing smell to the Lord.

8 S i tu offres un veau, soit comme holocauste, soit comme sacrifice en accomplissement d'un voeu, ou comme sacrifice d'actions de grâces à l'Éternel,

You may make ready a bull for a burnt gift or give an animal on the altar in worship, to keep a special promise, or give peace gifts to the Lord.

9 o n présentera en offrande, avec le veau, trois dixièmes de fleur de farine pétrie dans un demi-hin d'huile,

With the bull bring a grain gift of three-tenths part of a basket of fine flour mixed with half a large jar of oil.

10 e t tu feras une libation d'un demi-hin de vin: c'est un sacrifice consumé par le feu, d'une agréable odeur à l'Éternel.

Bring for the drink gift half a large jar of wine, as a gift by fire, a pleasing smell to the Lord.

11 O n fera ainsi pour chaque boeuf, pour chaque bélier, pour chaque petit des brebis ou des chèvres.

‘It must be done this way for each bull, or for each ram, or for each of the male lambs or young goats.

12 S uivant le nombre des victimes, vous ferez ainsi pour chacune, d'après leur nombre.

Whatever number you make ready, you must do for everyone.

13 T out indigène fera ces choses ainsi, lorsqu'il offrira un sacrifice consumé par le feu, d'une agréable odeur à l'Éternel.

All who are born in the land must do these things in this way by giving a gift by fire, a pleasing smell to the Lord.

14 S i un étranger séjournant chez vous, ou se trouvant à l'avenir au milieu de vous, offre un sacrifice consumé par le feu, d'une agréable odeur à l'Éternel, il l'offrira de la même manière que vous.

A stranger staying with you, or a man living among your people, may want to give a gift by fire, a pleasing smell to the Lord. Then he must do just as you do.

15 I l y aura une seule loi pour toute l'assemblée, pour vous et pour l'étranger en séjour au milieu de vous; ce sera une loi perpétuelle parmi vos descendants: il en sera de l'étranger comme de vous, devant l'Éternel.

There will be one Law for you and for the stranger who stays with you. It will be a Law forever for all your children-to-come. As you are, so will the stranger be before the Lord.

16 I l y aura une seule loi et une seule ordonnance pour vous et pour l'étranger en séjour parmi vous.

One Law will be for you and for the stranger who stays with you.’”

17 L 'Éternel parla à Moïse, et dit:

Then the Lord said to Moses,

18 P arle aux enfants d'Israël, et dis-leur: Quand vous serez arrivés dans le pays où je vous ferai entrer,

“Say to the people of Israel, ‘When you come into the land where I bring you

19 e t que vous mangerez du pain de ce pays, vous prélèverez une offrande pour l'Éternel.

and when you eat of the food of the land, you must lift up a gift in worship to the Lord.

20 V ous présenterez par élévation un gâteau, les prémices de votre pâte; vous le présenterez comme l'offrande qu'on prélève de l'aire.

Give a loaf of bread as a gift from the first of your grain. Give it as the gift of the grain-floor.

21 V ous prélèverez pour l'Éternel une offrande des prémices de votre pâte, dans les temps à venir.

From the first of your grain you and all your children-to-come must give a gift to the Lord.

22 S i vous péchez involontairement, en n'observant pas tous ces commandements que l'Éternel a fait connaître à Moïse,

‘Without knowing it you might not obey all these Laws which the Lord has spoken to Moses,

23 t out ce que l'Éternel vous a ordonné par Moïse, depuis le jour où l'Éternel a donné des commandements et plus tard dans les temps à venir;

even all that the Lord has told you to do through Moses, from the day when the Lord told you and through all your children-to-come.

24 s i l'on a péché involontairement, sans que l'assemblée s'en soit aperçue, toute l'assemblée offrira un jeune taureau en holocauste d'une agréable odeur à l'Éternel, avec l'offrande et la libation, d'après les règles établies; elle offrira encore un bouc en sacrifice d'expiation.

If this is done without the people knowing it, then all the people must give one bull for a burnt gift. It will be a pleasing smell to the Lord. It must be brought with its grain gift and its drink gift, by the Law, and with one male goat for a sin gift.

25 L e sacrificateur fera l'expiation pour toute l'assemblée des enfants d'Israël, et il leur sera pardonné; car ils ont péché involontairement, et ils ont apporté leur offrande, un sacrifice consumé par le feu en l'honneur de l'Éternel et une victime expiatoire devant l'Éternel, à cause du péché qu'ils ont involontairement commis.

Then the religious leader will pay for the sins of all the people of Israel, and they will be forgiven. Because it was a mistake, they brought their gift, a gift by fire to the Lord, and their sin gift to the Lord, for their mistake.

26 I l sera pardonné à toute l'assemblée des enfants d'Israël et à l'étranger en séjour au milieu d'eux, car c'est involontairement que tout le peuple a péché.

So all the people of Israel and the stranger who stays among them will be forgiven. For it happened to all the people by mistake.

27 S i c'est une seule personne qui a péché involontairement, elle offrira une chèvre d'un an en sacrifice pour le péché.

‘If one person sins without knowing it, he must bring a one year old female goat for a sin gift.

28 L e sacrificateur fera l'expiation pour la personne qui a péché involontairement devant l'Éternel: quand il aura fait l'expiation pour elle, il lui sera pardonné.

And the religious leader before the Lord will pay for the sin of the person who sins without knowing it. He will pay for his sin so he may be forgiven.

29 P our l'indigène parmi les enfants d'Israël et pour l'étranger en séjour au milieu d'eux, il y aura pour vous une même loi, quand on péchera involontairement.

You will have one Law for him who does anything without knowing it, for him who is one of the people of Israel and for the stranger who lives among them.

30 M ais si quelqu'un, indigène ou étranger, agit la main levée, il outrage l'Éternel; celui-là sera retranché du milieu de son peuple.

But if a person born in the land or a stranger does anything wrong and means to do it, he is speaking against the Lord. That person must be cut off from among his people.

31 I l a méprisé la parole de l'Éternel, et il a violé son commandement: celui-là sera retranché, il portera la peine de son iniquité.

Because he has hated the Word of the Lord and has broken His Law, that person must be cut off for sure. His guilt will be on him.’” Punishment for Those Who Worked on the Day of Rest

32 C omme les enfants d'Israël étaient dans le désert, on trouva un homme qui ramassait du bois le jour du sabbat.

While the people of Israel were in the desert, they found a man gathering wood on the Day of Rest.

33 C eux qui l'avaient trouvé ramassant du bois l'amenèrent à Moïse, à Aaron, et à toute l'assemblée.

Those who found him gathering wood brought him to Moses and Aaron, and to all the people.

34 O n le mit en prison, car ce qu'on devait lui faire n'avait pas été déclaré.

They put him in chains, because they did not know what should be done to him for gathering wood on the Day of Rest.

35 L 'Éternel dit à Moïse: Cet homme sera puni de mort, toute l'assemblée le lapidera hors du camp.

Then the Lord said to Moses: “The man must be put to death. All the people must kill him with stones away from the tents.”

36 T oute l'assemblée le fit sortir du camp et le lapida, et il mourut, comme l'Éternel l'avait ordonné à Moïse.

So all the people took him away from the tents and killed him with stones, just as the Lord had told Moses.

37 L 'Éternel dit à Moïse:

The Lord said to Moses,

38 P arle aux enfants d'Israël, et dis-leur qu'ils se fassent, de génération en génération, une frange au bord de leurs vêtements, et qu'ils mettent un cordon bleu sur cette frange du bord de leurs vêtements.

“Speak to the people of Israel. Tell them that they and all their children-to-come are to make tassels for themselves on the corners of their clothing. And they are to put a blue rope on the tassel of each corner.

39 Q uand vous aurez cette frange, vous la regarderez, et vous vous souviendrez de tous les commandements de l'Éternel pour les mettre en pratique, et vous ne suivrez pas les désirs de vos coeurs et de vos yeux pour vous laisser entraîner à l'infidélité.

It will be a tassel for you to look at and remember all the Laws of the Lord, and to do them. Do not follow your own heart and your own eyes, as you did when you acted like a woman selling the use of her body.

40 V ous vous souviendrez ainsi de mes commandements, vous les mettrez en pratique, et vous serez saints pour votre Dieu.

It will be so that you may remember to obey all My Laws, and be holy to your God.

41 J e suis l'Éternel, votre Dieu, qui vous ai fait sortir du pays d'Égypte, pour être votre Dieu. Je suis l'Éternel, votre Dieu.

I am the Lord your God Who brought you out from the land of Egypt to be your God. I am the Lord your God.”
