1 ¶ I will praise thee with my whole heart: before the gods I will sing praises unto thee.

De David. Je te célèbre de tout mon coeur, Je chante tes louanges en la présence de Dieu.

2 I will worship the temple of thy holiness and praise thy name above thy mercy and thy truth; for thou hast made thy name to be magnificent and raised up thy spoken word above all things.

Je me prosterne dans ton saint temple, Et je célèbre ton nom, à cause de ta bonté et de ta fidélité, Car ta renommée s'est accrue par l'accomplissement de tes promesses.

3 I n the day when I called, thou didst answer me and strengthen me with strength in my soul.

Le jour où je t'ai invoqué, tu m'as exaucé, Tu m'as rassuré, tu as fortifié mon âme.

4 A ll the kings of the earth shall praise thee, O LORD, when they hearken unto the spoken words from thy mouth.

Tous les rois de la terre te loueront, ô Éternel! En entendant les paroles de ta bouche;

5 Y ea, they shall sing in the ways of the LORD: for great is the glory of the LORD.

Ils célébreront les voies de l'Éternel, Car la gloire de l'Éternel est grande.

6 ¶ For the LORD, who is high and lifted up, looks upon the humble, but the proud he does not know.

L'Éternel est élevé: il voit les humbles, Et il reconnaît de loin les orgueilleux.

7 T hough I walk in the midst of trouble, thou wilt revive me; thou shalt stretch forth thy hand against the wrath of my enemies, and thy right hand shall save me.

Quand je marche au milieu de la détresse, tu me rends la vie, Tu étends ta main sur la colère de mes ennemis, Et ta droite me sauve.

8 T he LORD will perfect that which concerns me; thy mercy, O LORD, endures for ever; forsake not the works of thine own hands.

L'Éternel agira en ma faveur. Éternel, ta bonté dure toujours, N'abandonne pas les oeuvres de tes mains!
