1 S ing for joy in the Lord, you who are right with Him. It is right for the pure in heart to praise Him.

Ngazëlloni, o njerëz të drejtë, tek Zoti; lëvdimi u shkon për shtat njerëzve të drejtë.

2 G ive thanks to the Lord with harps. Sing praises to Him with a harp of ten strings.

Kremtojeni Zotin me qeste; këndojini atij me harpën me dhjetë tela.

3 S ing to Him a new song. Play well with loud sounds of joy.

Këndojini një kantik të ri, bjerini me mjeshtëri veglës dhe brohoritni.

4 F or the Word of the Lord is right. He is faithful in all He does.

Sepse fjala e Zotit është e drejtë dhe të gjithë veprat e tij janë bërë me saktësi.

5 H e loves what is right and good and what is fair. The earth is full of the loving-kindness of the Lord.

Ai e do drejtësinë dhe barazinë; toka është e mbushur nga mirësitë e Zotit.

6 T he heavens were made by the Word of the Lord. All the stars were made by the breath of His mouth.

Qiejtë u bënë me anë të fjalës së Zotit dhe tërë ushtria e tyre me anë të frymës së gojës së tij.

7 H e gathers the waters of the sea together as in a bag. He places the waters in store-houses.

Ai mblodhi ujërat në një tog dhe vendosi thellësitë e tyre të mëdha si rezervuare.

8 L et all the earth fear the Lord. Let all the people of the world honor Him.

Tërë toka le të ketë frikë nga Zoti dhe le të dridhen para tij tërë banorët e botës.

9 F or He spoke, and it was done. He spoke with strong words, and it stood strong.

Sepse ai foli dhe gjëja u bë; ai udhëroi dhe gjëja u shfaq.

10 T he Lord brings the plans of nations to nothing. He wrecks the plans of the people.

Zoti e bën të dështojë planin e kombeve dhe asgjeson synimet e popujve.

11 T he plans of the Lord stand forever. The plans of His heart stand through the future of all people.

Plani i Zotit mbetet përjetë dhe qëllimet e zemrës së tij për çdo brez.

12 H appy is the nation whose God is the Lord. Happy are the people He has chosen for His own.

Lum ai komb që ka Perëndinë Zotin; lum populli që ai ka zgjedhur për trashëgim të tij.

13 T he Lord looks from heaven. He sees all the sons of men.

Zoti shikon nga qielli; ai shikon tërë bijtë e njerëzve.

14 F rom where He sits He looks upon all who live on the earth.

Nga vendi i banimit të tij ai këqyr tërë banorët e tokës.

15 H e made the hearts of them all. And He understands whatever they do.

Ai e ka formuar zemrën e të gjithëve, që kupton tërë veprat e tyre.

16 N o king is saved by the power of his strong army. A soldier is not saved by great strength.

Mbreti nuk shpëtohet nga një ushtri e madhe; trimi nuk shpëton për shkak të forcës së tij të madhe.

17 A horse cannot be trusted to win a battle. Its great strength cannot save anyone.

Kali është një shpresë e kotë shpëtimi, dhe me forcën e tij të madhe nuk mund të shpëtojë asnjeri nga rreziku.

18 S ee, the eye of the Lord is on those who fear Him, and on those who hope for His loving-kindness,

Ja, syri i Zotit është mbi ata që kanë frikë para tij, mbi ata që shpresojnë në mirësinë e tij,

19 t o save their soul from death, and to keep them alive when there is nothing to eat.

për ta çliruar shpirtin e tyre nga vdekja dhe për t’i mbajtur të gjallë në kohë urie.

20 O ur soul waits for the Lord. He is our help and our safe cover.

Shpirti ynë pret Zotin; ai është ndihma jonë dhe mburoja jonë.

21 F or our heart is full of joy in Him, because we trust in His holy name.

Po, zemra jonë do të gëzohet tek ai, sepse kemi besim, në emrin e tij të shenjtë.

22 O Lord, let Your loving-kindness be upon us as we put our hope in You.

Mirësia jote qoftë mbi ne, o Zot, sepse kemi pasur shpresë te ti.
