1 J esus went out of the house of God. On the way His followers came to Him to show Him the buildings of the house of God.

Jesús salió del Templo y, cuando ya se iba, se acercaron sus discípulos para mostrarle los edificios del Templo.

2 J esus said to them, “Do you see all these things? For sure, I tell you, all these stones will be thrown down. Not one will be left standing on another.” Jesus Teaches on the Mount of Olives

Respondiendo él, les dijo: —¿Veis todo esto? De cierto os digo que no quedará aquí piedra sobre piedra que no sea derribada. Señales antes del fin

3 J esus sat on the Mount of Olives. The followers came to Him when He was alone and said, “Tell us, when will this happen? What can we look for to show us of Your coming and of the end of the world?”

Estando él sentado en el Monte de los Olivos, los discípulos se le acercaron aparte, diciendo: —Dinos, ¿cuándo serán estas cosas y qué señal habrá de tu venida y del fin del siglo?

4 J esus said to them, “Be careful that no one leads you the wrong way.

Respondiendo Jesús, les dijo: —Mirad que nadie os engañe,

5 M any people will come using My name. They will say, ‘I am Christ.’ They will fool many people and will turn them to the wrong way.

porque vendrán muchos en mi nombre, diciendo: “Yo soy el Cristo”, y a muchos engañarán.

6 Y ou will hear of wars and lots of talk about wars, but do not be afraid. These things must happen, but it is not the end yet.

Oiréis de guerras y rumores de guerras; mirad que no os turbéis, porque es necesario que todo esto acontezca, pero aún no es el fin.

7 N ations will have wars with other nations. Countries will fight against countries. There will be no food for people. The earth will shake and break apart in different places.

Se levantará nación contra nación y reino contra reino; y habrá pestes, hambres y terremotos en diferentes lugares.

8 T hese things are the beginning of sorrows and pains.

Pero todo esto es sólo principio de dolores.

9 “ Then they will hand you over to be hurt. They will kill you. You will be hated by all the world because of My name.

»Entonces os entregarán a tribulación, os matarán y seréis odiados por todos por causa de mi nombre.

10 M any people will give up and turn away at this time. People will hand over each other. They will hate each other.

Muchos tropezarán entonces, y se entregarán unos a otros, y unos a otros se odiarán.

11 M any false religious teachers will come. They will fool many people and will turn them to the wrong way.

Muchos falsos profetas se levantarán y engañarán a muchos;

12 B ecause of people breaking the laws and sin being everywhere, the love in the hearts of many people will become cold.

y por haberse multiplicado la maldad, el amor de muchos se enfriará.

13 B ut the one who stays true to the end will be saved.

Pero el que persevere hasta el fin, éste será salvo.

14 “ This Good News about the holy nation of God must be preached over all the earth. It must be told to all nations and then the end will come. Days of Trouble and Pain and Sorrow

Y será predicado este evangelio del Reino en todo el mundo, para testimonio a todas las naciones, y entonces vendrá el fin.

15 “ You will see a sinful man-made god standing in the house of God in Jerusalem. It was spoken of by the early preacher Daniel. The one who reads this should understand it.

»Por tanto, cuando veáis en el Lugar santo la abominación desoladora de la que habló el profeta Daniel —el que lee, entienda—,

16 T hen those in the country of Judea should run to the mountains.

entonces los que estén en Judea, huyan a los montes.

17 T he man who is on the top of his house should not come down to take anything out of his house.

El que esté en la azotea, no descienda para tomar algo de su casa;

18 T he man who is in the field should not go back to get his coat.

y el que esté en el campo, no vuelva atrás para tomar su capa.

19 I t will be hard for a woman who will soon be a mother. It will be hard for the ones feeding babies in those days!

Pero ¡ay de las que estén encinta y de las que críen en aquellos días!

20 P ray that you will not have to go in the winter or on the Day of Rest.

Orad, pues, que vuestra huida no sea en invierno ni en sábado,

21 I n those days there will be very much trouble and pain and sorrow. It has never been this bad from the beginning of the world and never will be again.

porque habrá entonces gran tribulación, cual no la ha habido desde el principio del mundo hasta ahora, ni la habrá.

22 I f the time had not been made short, no life would have been saved. Because of God’s people, the time will be made short. The False Religious Teachers

Y si aquellos días no fueran acortados, nadie sería salvo; pero por causa de los escogidos, aquellos días serán acortados.

23 “ If anyone says to you, ‘See! Here is the Christ!’ or ‘There He is!’ do not believe it.

»Entonces, si alguno os dice: “Mirad, aquí está el Cristo”, o “Mirad, allí está”, no lo creáis,

24 P eople who say they are Christ and false preachers will come. They will do special things for people to see. They will do great things, so that if it can be done, God’s people will be fooled to believe something wrong.

porque se levantarán falsos cristos y falsos profetas, y harán grandes señales y prodigios, de tal manera que engañarán, si es posible, aun a los escogidos.

25 L isten! I have told you before it comes.

Ya os lo he dicho antes.

26 I f they tell you, ‘See! He is in the desert,’ do not go to see. Or if they say, ‘See! He is in the inside room,’ do not believe them.

Así que, si os dicen: “Mirad, está en el desierto”, no salgáis; o “Mirad, está en los aposentos”, no lo creáis,

27 T he Son of Man will come as fast as lightning shines across the sky from east to west.

porque igual que el relámpago sale del oriente y se muestra hasta el occidente, así será también la venida del Hijo del hombre.

28 B irds gather wherever there is a dead body. Jesus Will Come Again in His Shining-Greatness

Dondequiera que esté el cuerpo muerto, allí se juntarán las águilas. La venida del Hijo del hombre

29 “ As soon as those days of trouble and pain and sorrow are over, the sun will get dark. The moon will not give light. The stars will fall from the sky. The powers in the heavens will be shaken.

»Inmediatamente después de la tribulación de aquellos días, el sol se oscurecerá, la luna no dará su resplandor, las estrellas caerán del cielo y las potencias de los cielos serán conmovidas.

30 T hen something special will be seen in the sky telling of the Son of Man. All nations of the earth will have sorrow. They will see the Son of Man coming in the clouds of the sky with power and shining-greatness.

Entonces aparecerá la señal del Hijo del hombre en el cielo, y todas las tribus de la tierra harán lamentación cuando vean al Hijo del hombre venir sobre las nubes del cielo, con poder y gran gloria.

31 H e will send His angels with the loud sound of a horn. They will gather God’s people together from the four winds. They will come from one end of the heavens to the other. The Picture-Story of the Fig Tree

Enviará sus ángeles con gran voz de trompeta y juntarán a sus escogidos de los cuatro vientos, desde un extremo del cielo hasta el otro.

32 “ Now learn something from the fig tree. When the branch begins to grow and puts out its leaves, you know that summer is near.

»De la higuera aprended la parábola: Cuando ya su rama está tierna y brotan las hojas, sabéis que el verano está cerca.

33 I n the same way, when you see all these things happen, you know the Son of Man is near, even at the door.

Así también vosotros, cuando veáis todas estas cosas, conoced que está cerca, a las puertas.

34 F or sure, I tell you, the people of this day will not pass away before all these things have happened. No One Knows When Jesus Will Come Again

De cierto os digo que no pasará esta generación hasta que todo esto acontezca.

35 “ Heaven and earth will pass away, but My words will not pass away.

El cielo y la tierra pasarán, pero mis palabras no pasarán.

36 B ut no one knows the day or the hour. No! Not even the angels in heaven know. The Son does not know. Only the Father knows.

»Pero del día y la hora nadie sabe, ni aun los ángeles de los cielos, sino sólo mi Padre.

37 “ When the Son of Man comes, it will be the same as when Noah lived.

Pero como en los días de Noé, así será la venida del Hijo del hombre,

38 I n the days before the flood, people were eating and drinking. They were marrying and being given in marriage. This kept on until the day Noah went into the large boat.

pues como en los días antes del diluvio estaban comiendo y bebiendo, casándose y dando en casamiento, hasta el día en que Noé entró en el arca,

39 T hey did not know what was happening until the flood came and the water carried them all away. It will be like this when the Son of Man comes.

y no entendieron hasta que vino el diluvio y se los llevó a todos, así será también la venida del Hijo del hombre.

40 “ Two men will be working in a field. One will be taken and the other will be left.

Entonces estarán dos en el campo: uno será tomado y el otro será dejado.

41 T wo women will be grinding grain. One will be taken and the other will be left.

Dos mujeres estarán moliendo en un molino: una será tomada y la otra será dejada.

42 “ Because of this, watch! You do not know on what day your Lord is coming.

»Velad, pues, porque no sabéis a qué hora ha de venir vuestro Señor.

43 B ut understand this: If the owner of a house had known when the robber was coming, he would have watched. He would not have allowed his house to have been broken into.

Pero sabed esto, que si el padre de familia supiera a qué hora el ladrón habría de venir, velaría y no lo dejaría entrar en su casa.

44 Y ou must be ready also. The Son of Man is coming at a time when you do not think He will come. Faithful Servants and Servants Who Are Not Faithful

Por tanto, también vosotros estad preparados, porque el Hijo del hombre vendrá a la hora que no pensáis. La fidelidad en el servicio

45 “ Who is the faithful and wise servant whom his owner has made boss over the other servants? He is to have food ready for them at the right time.

»¿Quién es, pues, el siervo fiel y prudente, al cual puso su señor sobre su casa para que les dé el alimento a tiempo?

46 T hat servant is happy who is doing what his owner wants him to do when he comes back.

Bienaventurado aquel siervo al cual, cuando su señor venga, lo halle haciendo así.

47 F or sure, I tell you, he will make him boss over all that he has.

De cierto os digo que sobre todos sus bienes lo pondrá.

48 B ut if that servant is bad, he will think, ‘The owner will not come soon.’

Pero si aquel siervo malo dice en su corazón: “Mi señor tarda en venir”,

49 H e will beat the others. He will eat and drink with those who are drunk.

y comienza a golpear a sus consiervos, y aun a comer y a beber con los borrachos,

50 T he owner will come on a day and at an hour when the servant is not looking for him.

vendrá el señor de aquel siervo en día que éste no espera, y a la hora que no sabe,

51 T he owner will punish the servant and will give him his place with those who pretend to be someone they are not. There will be loud crying and grinding of teeth.

y lo castigará duramente y pondrá su parte con los hipócritas; allí será el lloro y el crujir de dientes.
