1 I love You, O Lord, my strength.

Te amo, Jehová, fortaleza mía.

2 T he Lord is my rock, and my safe place, and the One Who takes me out of trouble. My God is my rock, in Whom I am safe. He is my safe-covering, my saving strength, and my strong tower.

Jehová, roca mía y castillo mío, mi libertador; Dios mío, fortaleza mía, en él confiaré; mi escudo y la fuerza de mi salvación, mi alto refugio.

3 I call to the Lord, Who has the right to be praised. And I am saved from those who hate me.

Invocaré a Jehová, quien es digno de ser alabado, y seré salvo de mis enemigos.

4 T he ropes of death were all around me. The floods of death make me afraid.

Me rodearon los lazos de la muerte y los torrentes de la destrucción me atemorizaron.

5 T he ropes of the grave were all around me. The traps of death were set for me.

Los lazos del seol me han rodeado, me tendieron redes de muerte.

6 I called to the Lord in my trouble. I cried to God for help. He heard my voice from His holy house. My cry for help came into His ears.

En mi angustia invoqué a Jehová y clamé a mi Dios. Él oyó mi voz desde su Templo y mi clamor llegó hasta sus oídos.

7 T hen the earth shook. The mountains were shaking. They shook because He was angry.

La tierra fue conmovida y tembló; se conmovieron los cimientos de los montes y se estremecieron, porque se indignó él.

8 S moke went out from His nose and the fire that kept coming from His mouth burned everything around it.

Humo subió de su nariz y de su boca fuego consumidor; carbones fueron por él encendidos.

9 H e parted the heavens and came down. Dark clouds were under His feet.

Inclinó los cielos y descendió, y había densas tinieblas debajo de sus pies.

10 H e sat upon a cherub and flew. He traveled on the wings of the wind.

Cabalgó sobre un querubín y voló; voló sobre las alas del viento.

11 H e made darkness His hiding place, the covering around Him, the dark rain clouds of the sky.

Puso tinieblas por su escondite, por cortina suya a su alrededor; oscuridad de aguas, nubes de los cielos.

12 T hrough the light before Him passed His dark clouds, hail stones and fire.

Por el resplandor de su presencia, pasaron sus nubes: granizo y carbones ardientes.

13 T he Lord made thunder in the heavens. The voice of the Most High spoke out, hail stones and fire.

Tronó en los cielos Jehová, el Altísimo dio su voz: granizo y carbones de fuego.

14 H e sent out His arrows and divided them. He threw down lightning and sent them running.

Envió sus saetas y los dispersó; lanzó relámpagos y los destruyó.

15 T hen the deep part of the sea could be seen. And the deep part of the earth was opened up, because of Your sharp words, O Lord, because of the powerful breath from Your nose.

Entonces aparecieron los abismos de las aguas y quedaron al descubierto los cimientos del mundo: a tu reprensión, Jehová, por el soplo del aliento de tu nariz.

16 H e sent from above, and took me. He lifted me out of many waters.

Envió desde lo alto y me tomó, me sacó de las muchas aguas.

17 H e took me away from the powerful one who fights against me, and from those who hated me. They were too strong for me.

Me libró de mi poderoso enemigo y de los que me aborrecían, pues eran más fuertes que yo.

18 T hey stood against me in the day of my trouble. But the Lord was my strength.

Me asaltaron en el día de mi desgracia, pero Jehová fue mi apoyo.

19 H e brought me out into a big place. He gave me a safe place, because He was pleased with me.

Me sacó a lugar espacioso; me libró, porque se agradó de mí.

20 T he Lord has paid me because of my being right with Him. Because of my clean hands He has paid me.

Jehová me ha premiado conforme a mi justicia; conforme a la limpieza de mis manos me ha recompensado,

21 F or I have kept the ways of the Lord. And I have not sinned by turning from my God.

porque yo he guardado los caminos de Jehová, y no me aparté impíamente de mi Dios,

22 A ll His Laws are in front of me. I have not set His Laws aside.

pues delante de mí estuvieron todos sus juicios, y no me he apartado de sus estatutos.

23 B efore Him I was without blame. And I have kept myself from sin.

Fui recto para con él y me he guardado de hacer lo malo,

24 S o the Lord has paid me back for being right with Him, and for my hands being clean in His eyes.

por lo cual me ha recompensado Jehová conforme a mi justicia, conforme a la limpieza de mis manos delante de sus ojos.

25 T o the faithful, You show Yourself faithful. To those without blame, You show Yourself without blame.

Con el misericordioso te mostrarás misericordioso, y recto con el hombre íntegro.

26 W ith the pure, You show Yourself pure. With the sinful You show Yourself to be against them.

Limpio te mostrarás con el limpio y severo serás para con el tramposo,

27 Y ou save those who are suffering, but You bring low those who have pride in their eyes.

porque tú salvarás al pueblo afligido y humillarás los ojos altivos.

28 Y ou make my lamp bright. The Lord my God lights my darkness.

Tú encenderás mi lámpara; Jehová, mi Dios, alumbrará mis tinieblas.

29 W ith Your help I can go against many soldiers. With my God I can jump over a wall.

Contigo desbarataré ejércitos y con mi Dios asaltaré ciudades amuralladas.

30 A s for God, His way is perfect. The Word of the Lord has stood the test. He is a covering for all who go to Him for a safe place.

En cuanto a Dios, perfecto es su camino y acrisolada la palabra de Jehová; escudo es a todos los que en él esperan.

31 F or Who is God, but the Lord? And who is a rock except our God?

¿Quién es Dios sino sólo Jehová? ¿Y qué roca hay fuera de nuestro Dios?

32 I t is God Who covers me with strength and makes my way perfect.

Dios es el que me reviste de poder y quien hace perfecto mi camino;

33 H e makes my feet like the feet of a deer. And He sets me on my high places.

quien hace mis pies como de venados y me hace estar firme sobre mis alturas;

34 H e teaches me how to fight, so that I can use a bow of brass.

quien adiestra mis manos para la batalla, para tensar con mis brazos el arco de bronce.

35 Y ou have also given me the covering that saves me. Your right hand holds me up. And Your care has made me great.

Me diste asimismo el escudo de tu salvación; tu diestra me sustentó y tu benignidad me ha engrandecido.

36 Y ou make the road wide for my steps, and my feet have not tripped.

Ensanchaste mis pasos debajo de mí y mis pies no han resbalado.

37 I went after those who fight against me, and caught them. And I did not return until they were destroyed.

Perseguí a mis enemigos y los alcancé; no volví hasta acabarlos.

38 I hit them so they were not able to rise. They fell under my feet.

Los herí de modo que no se levantaran; cayeron debajo de mis pies,

39 Y ou have given me strength for war. You have put under me those who have fought against me.

pues me has revestido de fuerzas para el combate; has humillado a mis enemigos debajo de mí.

40 Y ou have made them turn their backs to me also. And I destroyed those who hated me.

Has hecho que mis enemigos me vuelvan las espaldas, para que yo destruya a los que me odian.

41 T hey cried for help, but there was no one to save. They cried to the Lord, but He did not answer them.

Clamaron, y no hubo quien salvara; aun a Jehová, pero no los oyó.

42 T hen I beat them as small as the dust in the wind. I emptied them out like mud in the streets.

Los molí como polvo delante del viento; los lancé afuera como a lodo de las calles.

43 Y ou have taken me away from the fighting of the people. You have made me the leader of nations. People whom I have not known will serve me.

Me has librado de las contiendas del pueblo; me has hecho cabeza de las naciones; pueblo que yo no conocía me sirvió.

44 A s soon as they hear, they obey me. Those from other lands obey me.

Al oír de mí, me obedecieron; los hijos de extraños se sometieron a mí.

45 T hese people from other lands lose their strength of heart. And they come shaking from behind their walls.

Los extraños se debilitaron y salieron temblando de sus encierros.

46 T he Lord lives! How great is my Rock! Praise be to the God Who saves me!

¡Viva Jehová y bendita sea mi roca! Y enaltecido sea el Dios de mi salvación,

47 H e is the God Who punishes those who have done wrong to me. He puts nations under my rule.

el Dios que venga mis agravios y somete pueblos debajo de mí,

48 H e saves me from those who hate me. Yes, You lift me above those who rise up against me. You save me from those who want to hurt me.

el que me libra de mis enemigos e incluso me eleva sobre los que se levantan contra mí. Me libraste de hombre violento.

49 S o I will give thanks to You among the nations, O Lord. And I will sing praises to Your name.

Por tanto yo te confesaré entre las naciones, Jehová, y cantaré a tu nombre.

50 H e gives His king great power over trouble. And He shows loving-kindness to His chosen one, to David, and to his children after him forever.

Grandes triunfos da a su rey y hace misericordia a su ungido, a David y a su descendencia para siempre.
