1 T he Spirit lifted me up and brought me to the east gate of the Lord’s house which faces eastward. There I saw twenty-five men at the door of the gate. Among them I saw Jaazaniah the son of Azzur, and Pelatiah the son of Benaiah, leaders of the people.

El espíritu me elevó y me llevó a la puerta oriental de la casa de Jehová, la cual mira hacia el oriente; y he aquí, a la entrada de la puerta, veinticinco hombres, entre los cuales vi a Jaazanías hijo de Azur, y a Pelatías hijo de Benaía, jefes del pueblo.

2 T hen He said to me, “Son of man, these are the men who make sinful plans and tell others in this city to do what is wrong.

Me dijo: «Hijo de hombre, éstos son los hombres que maquinan perversidad y dan en esta ciudad mal consejo.

3 T hey say, ‘Will it not soon be time to build houses? This city is the pot and we are the meat.’

Ellos dicen: “No será tan pronto; edifiquemos casas; ésta será la olla, y nosotros la carne.”

4 S o tell what will happen against them, son of man. Speak the Word of God!”

Por tanto, profetiza contra ellos, ¡profetiza, hijo de hombre!»

5 T hen the Spirit of the Lord came upon me, and He said to me, “Tell them, ‘This is what the Lord says: “This is what you thought, O people of Israel. For I know the things that come into your mind.

Vino sobre mí el espíritu de Jehová y me dijo: «Di: “Así ha dicho Jehová: Así habéis hablado, casa de Israel, y las cosas que suben a vuestro espíritu yo las he entendido.

6 Y ou have made many more of your people die in this city. You have filled its streets with them.”

Habéis multiplicado vuestros muertos en esta ciudad; habéis llenado de muertos sus calles.

7 S o the Lord God says, “Your dead whom you have laid in the city are the meat, and this city is the pot. But I will bring you out of it.

Por tanto, así ha dicho Jehová, el Señor: Vuestros muertos que habéis puesto en medio de ella, ellos son la carne y ella es la olla; pero yo os sacaré a vosotros de en medio de ella.

8 Y ou have been afraid of the sword, so I will bring a sword upon you,” the Lord God says.

A la espada habéis temido, y la espada traeré sobre vosotros, dice Jehová, el Señor.

9 “ And I will bring you out of the city, and give you over to strangers and punish you.

Os sacaré de en medio de ella, os entregaré en manos de extraños y haré juicios entre vosotros.

10 Y ou will be killed by the sword all the way to the land of Israel, so you will know that I am the Lord.

A espada caeréis; en los límites de Israel os juzgaré, y sabréis que yo soy Jehová.

11 T his city will not be a pot for you, and you will not be the meat inside it. But I will punish you all the way to the land of Israel.

La ciudad no os será por olla ni vosotros seréis la carne en medio de ella; en los límites de Israel os juzgaré.

12 A nd you will know that I am the Lord. For you have not walked in my Laws or obeyed them, but have followed the ways of the nations around you.”’”

Y sabréis que yo soy Jehová; porque no habéis andado en mis estatutos ni habéis obedecido mis decretos, sino que habéis hecho según las costumbres de las naciones que os rodean.”»

13 W hile I was saying what was going to happen, Pelatiah the son of Benaiah died. Then I fell on my face and cried out with a loud voice, “It is bad, Lord God! Will You bring a complete end to those of Israel who are left?” God Will Bring Israel Back

Y aconteció que mientras yo profetizaba, aquel Pelatías hijo de Benaía, murió. Entonces me postré rostro a tierra y clamé a gran voz, y dije: «¡Ah, Señor, Jehová!, ¿destruirás del todo al resto de Israel?» Promesa de restauración y renovación

14 T hen the Word of the Lord came to me, saying,

Vino a mí palabra de Jehová, diciendo:

15 “ Son of man, your brothers, your family, those who were driven out of the land, and all the people of Israel are those of whom the people of Jerusalem have said, ‘They have gone far away from the Lord. This land has been given to us for our own.’

«Hijo de hombre, tus hermanos, tus propios hermanos, los hombres de tu parentela y toda la casa de Israel, son aquellos a quienes dijeron los habitantes de Jerusalén: “Alejaos de Jehová; a nosotros es dada la tierra en posesión.”

16 S o tell them, ‘This is what the Lord God says: “I sent them far away among the nations. I divided them among the countries. But still I was a holy place for them a little while in the countries where they had gone.”’

Por tanto, di: “Así ha dicho Jehová, el Señor: Aunque los he arrojado lejos entre las naciones y los he esparcido por las tierras, con todo les seré por un pequeño santuario en las tierras adonde lleguen.”

17 S o tell them, ‘This is what the Lord God says: “I will gather you from the nations. I will gather you together out of the countries where you have been divided. And I will give you the land of Israel.”’

Di, por tanto: “Así ha dicho Jehová, el Señor: Yo os recogeré de los pueblos, os congregaré de las tierras en las cuales estáis esparcidos y os daré la tierra de Israel.

18 W hen they return to it, they will take away all its hated and sinful things.

Volverán allá, y quitarán de ella todas sus idolatrías y todas sus abominaciones.

19 I will give them one heart, and put a new spirit within them. I will take the heart of stone out of their flesh and give them a heart of flesh.

Y les daré otro corazón y pondré en ellos un nuevo espíritu; quitaré el corazón de piedra de en medio de su carne y les daré un corazón de carne,

20 T hen they will walk in My Laws and keep them, and obey them. They will be My people, and I will be their God.

para que anden en mis ordenanzas y guarden mis decretos y los cumplan, y sean mi pueblo y yo sea su Dios.

21 B ut as for those whose hearts go after their hated and sinful things, I will bring their actions upon their own heads,” says the Lord God.

Pero a aquellos cuyo corazón anda tras el deseo de sus idolatrías y de sus abominaciones, yo traigo su camino sobre sus propias cabezas, dice Jehová, el Señor.”»

22 T hen the cherubim lifted up their wings with the wheels beside them. And the shining-greatness of the God of Israel was over them.

Después alzaron los querubines sus alas, y las ruedas iban en pos de ellos y la gloria del Dios de Israel estaba sobre ellos.

23 T he shining-greatness of the Lord went up from the city and stood over the mountain east of it.

La gloria de Jehová se elevó de en medio de la ciudad y se puso sobre el monte que está al oriente de la ciudad.

24 T he Spirit lifted me up and brought me in a special dream by the Spirit of God to the Jews who had been taken to Babylon. Then the special dream that I had seen left me.

Luego me levantó el espíritu y me volvió a llevar en visión del espíritu de Dios a la tierra de los caldeos, a donde estaban los cautivos. Y se fue de mí la visión que había visto.

25 A nd I told the Jews in Babylon all the things that the Lord had shown me.

Entonces referí a los cautivos todas las cosas que Jehová me había mostrado.
