1 ¶ In thee, O LORD, have I waited; let me never be ashamed; deliver me in thy righteousness.

En Ti, oh Señor, me refugio; Jamás sea yo avergonzado; Líbrame en Tu justicia.

2 I ncline thine ear unto me; deliver me speedily; be thou my strong rock, for a house of defence to save me.

Inclina a mí Tu oído, rescátame pronto; Sé para mí roca fuerte, Fortaleza para salvarme.

3 F or thou art my rock and my fortress; therefore for thy name’s sake thou shalt lead me and guide me.

Porque Tú eres mi roca y mi fortaleza, Y por amor de Tu nombre me conducirás y me guiarás.

4 T hou shalt pull me out of the net that they have laid in secret for me; for thou art my strength.

Me sacarás de la red que en secreto me han tendido; Porque Tú eres mi refugio.

5 I nto thy hand shall I commit my spirit; thou shalt ransom me, O LORD God of truth.

En Tu mano encomiendo mi espíritu; Tú me has redimido, oh Señor, Dios de verdad.

6 I have hated those that regard lying vanities; but I wait in the LORD.

Aborrezco a los que confían en ídolos vanos; Pero yo confío en el Señor.

7 I will be glad and rejoice in thy mercy, for thou hast considered my trouble; thou hast known my soul in adversities

Me gozaré y me alegraré en Tu misericordia, Porque Tú has visto mi aflicción; Has conocido las angustias de mi alma,

8 a nd hast not shut me up into the hand of the enemy; thou hast set my feet in a wide place.

Y no me has entregado en manos del enemigo; Tú has puesto mis pies en lugar espacioso.

9 ¶ Have mercy upon me, O LORD, for I am in trouble: my eye is consumed with grief, yea, my soul and my belly.

Ten piedad de mí, oh Señor, porque estoy en angustia; Se consumen de sufrir mis ojos, mi alma y mis entrañas.

10 F or my life is spent with grief and my years with sighing: my strength fails because of my iniquity, and my bones are consumed.

Pues mi vida se gasta en tristeza Y mis años en suspiros; Mis fuerzas se agotan a causa de mi iniquidad, Y se ha consumido mi cuerpo.

11 I was a reproach among all my enemies, but especially among my neighbours, and a fear to my acquaintances: those that see me without flee from me.

12 I am forgotten as a dead man out of mind: I have become like a lost vessel.

13 F or I have heard the slander of many; fear was on every side; while they took counsel together against me, they devised to take away my life.

14 B ut I trusted in thee, O LORD; I said, Thou art my God.

15 M y times are in thy hand: deliver me from the hand of my enemies and from those that persecute me.

16 M ake thy face to shine upon thy slave; save me for thy mercies’ sake.

Haz resplandecer Tu rostro sobre Tu siervo; Sálvame en Tu misericordia.

17 L et me not be ashamed, O LORD, for I have called upon thee; let the wicked be ashamed, and let them be cut off for Sheol.

Oh Señor, no sea yo avergonzado, porque a Ti clamo; Sean avergonzados los impíos; que desciendan en silencio al Seol.

18 L et the lying lips be put to silence; which speak grievous things proudly and contemptuously against the righteous.

Enmudezcan los labios mentirosos, Porque hablan arrogantes contra el justo Con soberbia y desprecio.

19 ¶ Oh how great is thy goodness, which thou hast laid up for those that fear thee; which thou hast wrought for those that wait in thee before the sons of men!

¡Cuán grande es Tu bondad, Que has reservado para los que Te temen, Que has manifestado para los que en Ti se refugian, Delante de los hijos de los hombres!

20 T hou shalt keep them in the secret place of thy face from the pride of man; thou shalt keep them in the tabernacle protected from the strife of tongues.

De las conspiraciones de los hombres Tú los escondes en lo secreto de Tu presencia; En un refugio los pondrás a cubierto de los enredos de las lenguas.

21 B lessed be the LORD, for he has shown me his marvellous mercy in a strong city.

Bendito sea el Señor, Porque ha hecho maravillosa Su misericordia para mí en ciudad asediada (fortificada).

22 F or I said in my haste, I am cut off from before thine eyes; nevertheless thou hast heard the voice of my supplications when I cried unto thee.

Y yo alarmado, decía: “¡Cortado soy de delante de Tus ojos!” Sin embargo Tú oíste la voz de mis súplicas Cuando a Ti clamaba.

23 O love the LORD, all ye his merciful ones, for the LORD preserves the faithful and plentifully rewards the proud doer.

¡Amen al Señor, todos Sus santos! El Señor preserva a los fieles, Pero les da su merecido a los que obran con soberbia.

24 B e of good courage and strengthen your hearts, all ye that wait in the LORD.

Esfuércense, y aliéntese su corazón, Todos ustedes que esperan en el Señor.
