1 ¶ In that time there shall be an open fountain for the house of David and for the inhabitants of Jerusalem against sin and against uncleanness.

“En aquel día habrá una fuente abierta para la casa de David y para los habitantes de Jerusalén, para lavar el pecado y la impureza.

2 A nd it shall come to pass in that day, saith the LORD of the hosts, that I will cut off the names of the idols out of the land, and they shall no longer be remembered; and I will also cause the prophets and the spirit of uncleanness to be cut off out of the land.

“Y sucederá en aquel día,” declara el Señor de los ejércitos, “que eliminaré de la tierra los nombres de los ídolos, y nunca más serán recordados; también Yo quitaré de la tierra a los profetas y al espíritu inmundo.

3 A nd it shall come to pass, that when anyone else shall prophesy, then his father and his mother that begat him shall say unto him, Thou shalt not live; for thou speakest lies in the name of the LORD; and his father and his mother that begat him shall thrust him through when he prophesies.

Y sucederá que si alguien profetiza todavía, su padre y su madre que lo engendraron le dirán: ‘No vivirás porque has hablado falsamente en el nombre del Señor ’; y su padre y su madre que lo engendraron lo traspasarán mientras profetiza.

4 A nd it shall come to pass in that time, that the prophets shall be ashamed every one of his vision when he has prophesied; neither shall they wear a rough garment to deceive:

También sucederá aquel día que los profetas se avergonzarán cada uno de su visión cuando profetice, y no se vestirán con el manto de piel para engañar,

5 b ut he shall say, I am no prophet, I am a husbandman of the land; for I learned this from man from my youth.

sino que cada uno dirá: ‘No soy profeta, soy labrador de la tierra, porque un hombre me vendió como esclavo en mi juventud.’

6 A nd they shall ask him, What are these wounds in thine hands? Then he shall answer, Those with which I was wounded in the house of my friends.

Y alguien le dirá: ‘¿Qué son esas heridas en tu cuerpo?’ Y él responderá: ‘ Son aquéllas con que fui herido en casa de mis amigos.’

7 ¶ Awake, O sword, upon the pastor and upon the man that is my fellow, said the LORD of the hosts; smite the shepherd, and the sheep shall be scattered; and I will turn my hand upon the little ones.

“Despierta, espada, contra Mi pastor, Y contra el hombre compañero Mío,” Declara el Señor de los ejércitos. “Hiere al Pastor y se dispersarán las ovejas, Y volveré Mi mano contra los pequeños.

8 A nd it shall come to pass that in all the land, said the LORD, two parts therein shall be cut off in her and shall be lost; but the third shall be left therein.

“Y sucederá en toda la tierra,” declara el Señor, “que dos partes serán cortadas en ella, y perecerán; Pero la tercera quedará en ella.

9 A nd I will put the third part into the fire and will refine them as silver is refined and will try them as gold is tried; He shall call on my name, and I will hear him; I will say, My people, and he shall say, The LORD is my God.

Y meteré la tercera parte en el fuego, Los refinaré como se refina la plata, Y los probaré como se prueba el oro. Invocarán Mi nombre, Y Yo les responderé; Diré: ‘Ellos son Mi pueblo,’ Y ellos dirán: ‘El Señor es mi Dios.’”
