1 ¶ O Israel, become converted unto the LORD thy God; for thou hast fallen by thine iniquity.

Vuelve, oh Israel, al Señor tu Dios, Pues has tropezado a causa de tu iniquidad.

2 T ake with you words, and be converted unto the LORD; say unto him, Take away all iniquity and receive us graciously, so will we render the calves of our lips.

Tomen con ustedes palabras, y vuélvanse al Señor. Díganle: “Quita toda iniquidad, Y acépta nos bondadosamente, Para que podamos presentar el fruto de nuestros labios.

3 A sshur shall not save us; we will not ride upon horses, neither will we say any more to the work of our hands, Ye are our gods, for in thee the fatherless finds mercy.

Asiria no nos salvará, No montaremos a caballo, Y nunca más diremos: ‘Dios nuestro ’ A la obra de nuestras manos, Pues en Ti el huérfano halla misericordia.”

4 ¶ I will heal their rebellion; I will love them freely; for my anger is turned away from them.

Yo sanaré su apostasía, Los amaré generosamente, Pues Mi ira se ha apartado de ellos.

5 I will be as the dew unto Israel; he shall flourish as the lily and cast forth his roots as Lebanon.

Seré como rocío para Israel; Florecerá como lirio, Y extenderá sus raíces como los cedros del Líbano.

6 H is branches shall spread, and his glory shall be as the olive tree, and his smell as Lebanon.

Brotarán sus renuevos, Y será su esplendor como el del olivo, Y su fragancia como la de los cedros del Líbano.

7 T hose that shall sit under his shadow shall return; they shall be given life as the wheat, and they shall flourish as the vine; the scent thereof shall be as the wine of Lebanon.

Los que moran a su sombra, Cultivarán de nuevo el trigo Y florecerán como la vid. Su fama será como la del vino del Líbano.

8 ¶ Ephraim shall then say, What have I to do any more with idols? I will hear him and gaze upon him; I will be unto him like a green fir tree; of me shall thy fruit be found.

Efraín, ¿qué tengo Yo que ver ya con los ídolos ? Yo respondo y te cuido. Yo soy como un frondoso ciprés; De Mí procede tu fruto.

9 W ho is wise that he might understand this? and prudent that he might know this? for the ways of the LORD are right, and the just shall walk in them; but the rebellious shall fall therein.

Quien es sabio, que entienda estas cosas; Quien es prudente, que las comprenda. Porque rectos son los caminos del Señor, Y los justos andarán por ellos; Pero los transgresores tropezarán en ellos.
