1 ¶ And I said, Hear, I pray you, O princes of Jacob, and ye heads of the house of Israel. Did it not pertain to you to know that which is right?

Y dije: “Oigan ahora, jefes de Jacob Y gobernantes de la casa de Israel. ¿No corresponde a ustedes conocer la justicia (el derecho) ?

2 W ho hate the good, and love the evil, who steal their skin from off them, and their flesh from off their bones;

Ustedes que aborrecen lo bueno y aman lo malo, Que le arrancan al pueblo la piel de encima Y la carne de sobre sus huesos;

3 a nd eat the flesh of my people, and flay their skin from off them; and they break their bones and chop them in pieces as for the pot and as flesh within the caldron.

Ustedes que comen la carne de mi pueblo, Les quitan su piel, Quiebran sus huesos, Y los hacen pedazos como para la olla, Como carne dentro de la caldera.”

4 T hen they shall cry unto the LORD, but he will not respond to them: he will even hide his face from them at that time because of their evil doings.

Entonces clamarán al Señor, Pero El no les responderá; Sino que esconderá de ellos Su rostro en aquel tiempo, Porque han hecho malas obras.

5 T hus hath the LORD said concerning the prophets that make my people err, that bite with their teeth, and cry, Peace; and he that does not give them something to eat, they even prepare war against him.

Así dice el Señor acerca de los profetas Que hacen errar a mi pueblo, Los cuales cuando tienen algo que morder, Proclaman: “Paz.” Pero contra aquél que no les pone nada en la boca, Declaran guerra santa.

6 T herefore the vision shall be made night unto you, and darkness unto those that divine, and the sun shall go down over the prophets, and the day shall be dark over them.

Por tanto, para ustedes será noche sin visión, Y oscuridad sin adivinación. Se pondrá el sol sobre los profetas, Y se oscurecerá el día sobre ellos.

7 T hen the prophets shall be ashamed, and the diviners confounded; and they shall all cover their lips because they shall have no answer from God.

Los videntes serán avergonzados, Y confundidos los adivinos. Todos ellos se cubrirán la boca Porque no hay respuesta de Dios.

8 ¶ But truly I am full of power by the Spirit of the LORD, and of judgment, and of might, to declare unto Jacob his rebellion, and to Israel his sin.

Yo, en cambio, estoy lleno de poder, Del Espíritu del Señor, Y de juicio y de valor, Para dar a conocer a Jacob su rebelión, Y a Israel su pecado.

9 N ow hear this, ye heads of the house of Jacob and captains of the house of Israel, that abhor judgment and pervert all equity;

Oigan ahora esto, jefes de la casa de Jacob Y gobernantes de la casa de Israel, Que aborrecen la justicia (el derecho) Y tuercen todo lo recto,

10 t hat build up Zion with blood and Jerusalem with iniquity;

Que edifican a Sion con sangre Y a Jerusalén con iniquidad.

11 t he heads thereof judge for bribes, and the priests thereof teach for hire, and the prophets thereof divine for money: yet they come near unto the LORD, and say, Is not the LORD among us? No evil can come upon us.

Sus jefes juzgan por soborno, Sus sacerdotes enseñan por precio, Sus profetas adivinan por dinero, Y se apoyan en el Señor, diciendo: “¿No está el Señor en medio de nosotros ? No vendrá sobre nosotros mal alguno.”

12 T herefore for your sake Zion shall be plowed as a field, and Jerusalem shall become heaps of ruins and the mountain of the house as the high places of the forest.

Por tanto, a causa de ustedes, Sion será arada como un campo, Jerusalén se convertirá en un montón de ruinas, Y el monte del templo será como las alturas de un bosque.
