1 ¶ O God, the Gentiles are come into thine inheritance; they have defiled the temple of thy holiness; they have laid Jerusalem on heaps.

Oh Dios, las naciones han invadido Tu heredad; Han profanado Tu santo templo; Han dejado a Jerusalén en ruinas.

2 T he dead bodies of thy slaves they have given to be food unto the fowls of the heavens, the flesh of thy saints unto the beasts of the earth.

Han dado los cadáveres de Tus siervos por comida a las aves del cielo, La carne de Tus santos a las fieras de la tierra.

3 T hey have shed their blood like water round about Jerusalem, and there was no one to bury them.

Como agua han derramado su sangre alrededor de Jerusalén; Y no hubo quien les diera sepultura.

4 W e are reproached by our neighbours, scorned, and derided by those that are round about us.

Hemos sido el oprobio de nuestros vecinos, Escarnio y burla de los que nos rodean.

5 H ow long, LORD? wilt thou be angry for ever? shall thy jealousy burn like fire?

¿Hasta cuándo, Señor ? ¿Estarás enojado para siempre ? ¿Arderán como fuego Tus celos ?

6 ¶ Pour out thy wrath upon the Gentiles that do not know thee and upon the kingdoms that do not call upon thy name.

Derrama Tu furor sobre las naciones que no Te conocen, Y sobre los reinos que no invocan Tu nombre.

7 F or they have devoured Jacob and laid waste his dwelling place.

Pues han devorado a Jacob Y han asolado su morada.

8 O remember not against us former iniquities; let thy tender mercies speedily meet us on the way, for we are very poor.

No recuerdes contra nosotros las iniquidades de nuestros antepasados; Venga pronto a nuestro encuentro Tu compasión, Porque estamos muy abatidos.

9 H elp us, O God, our saving health, for the honor of thy name and deliver us and purge away our sins, for thy name’s sake.

Ayúdanos oh Dios de nuestra salvación, Por la gloria de Tu nombre; Líbranos y perdona nuestros pecados por amor de Tu nombre.

10 W hy should the Gentiles say, Where is their God? let him be known among the Gentiles in our sight by the revenging of the blood of thy slaves which is shed.

¿Por qué han de decir las naciones: “¿Dónde está su Dios ?” Sea notoria entre las naciones, a nuestra vista, La venganza por la sangre derramada de Tus siervos.

11 L et the sighing of the prisoners come before thee; according to the greatness of thy power preserve those that are appointed to die

Llegue a Tu presencia el gemido del cautivo; Conforme a la grandeza de Tu poder preserva a los condenados a muerte.

12 a nd render unto our neighbours sevenfold into their bosom their reproach, with which they have reproached thee, O Lord.

Y devuelve a nuestros vecinos siete veces en su seno La afrenta con que Te han ofendido, Señor.

13 S o we thy people and sheep of thy pasture will give thee thanks for ever: from generation to generation we will sing thy praises.

Y nosotros, pueblo Tuyo y ovejas de Tu prado, Te daremos gracias para siempre; A todas las generaciones hablaremos de Tu alabanza.
