1 ¶ And there shall come forth a rod out of the stem of Jesse, and a Branch shall grow out of his roots:

Entonces un retoño brotará del tronco de Isaí, Y un vástago dará fruto de sus raíces.

2 A nd the Spirit of the LORD shall rest upon him, the Spirit of wisdom and understanding, the Spirit of counsel and might, the Spirit of knowledge and of the fear of the LORD,

Y reposará sobre El el Espíritu del Señor, Espíritu de sabiduría y de inteligencia, Espíritu de consejo y de poder, Espíritu de conocimiento y de temor del Señor.

3 a nd shall make him of quick olfaction in the fear of the LORD; and he shall not judge according to the sight of his eyes, neither reprove according to the hearing of his ears:

El se deleitará en el temor del Señor, Y no juzgará por lo que vean Sus ojos, Ni sentenciará por lo que oigan Sus oídos;

4 B ut with righteousness shall he judge the poor and reprove with equity for the meek of the earth; and he shall smite the earth with the rod of his mouth, and with the spirit of his lips he shall slay the wicked.

Sino que juzgará al pobre con justicia, Y fallará con equidad por los afligidos de la tierra. Herirá la tierra con la vara de Su boca, Y con el soplo de Sus labios matará al impío.

5 A nd righteousness shall be the girdle of his loins, and faith the girdle of his kidneys.

La justicia será ceñidor de Sus lomos, Y la fidelidad ceñidor de Su cintura.

6 T he wolf shall dwell with the lamb, and the leopard shall lie down with the kid; and the calf and the young lion and the fatling together; and a child shall shepherd them.

El lobo morará con el cordero, Y el leopardo se echará con el cabrito. El becerro, el leoncillo y el animal doméstico andarán juntos, Y un niño los conducirá.

7 T he cow and the bear shall feed; their young ones shall lie down together: and the lion shall eat straw like the ox.

La vaca con la osa pastará, Sus crías se echarán juntas, Y el león, como el buey, comerá paja.

8 A nd the sucking child shall play on the hole of the asp, and the weaned child shall put his hand on the cockatrice’ den.

El niño de pecho jugará junto a la cueva de la cobra, Y el niño destetado extenderá su mano sobre la guarida de la víbora.

9 T hey shall not hurt nor destroy in all my holy mountain: for the earth shall be full of the knowledge of the LORD, as the waters cover the sea.

No dañarán ni destruirán en todo Mi santo monte, Porque la tierra estará llena del conocimiento del Señor Como las aguas cubren el mar.

10 ¶ And it shall be in that day that the Root of Jesse, who shall be lifted up as a banner, as an example to the Gentiles shall be sought by the Gentiles; and his Kingdom of peace shall be glorious.

Acontecerá en aquel día Que las naciones acudirán a la raíz de Isaí, Que estará puesta como señal (estandarte) para los pueblos, Y será gloriosa Su morada.

11 A nd it shall come to pass in that day that the Lord shall return to set his hand again to possess the remnant of his people which were left from Assyria and from Egypt and from Pathros and from Cush and from Elam and from Shinar and from Hamath and from the islands of the sea.

Entonces acontecerá en aquel día que el Señor Ha de recobrar de nuevo con Su mano, por segunda vez, Al remanente de Su pueblo que haya quedado De Asiria, de Egipto, de Patros, de Cus (Etiopía), de Elam, de Sinar, de Hamat Y de las islas (costas) del mar.

12 A nd he shall raise up a banner, as an example for the Gentiles and shall assemble the outcasts of Israel and gather together the dispersed of Judah from the four corners of the earth.

Alzará un estandarte ante las naciones, Reunirá a los desterrados de Israel, Y juntará a los dispersos de Judá De los cuatro confines de la tierra.

13 T he envy also of Ephraim shall depart, and the adversaries of Judah shall be cut off; Ephraim shall not envy Judah, and Judah shall not vex Ephraim.

Entonces se disipará la envidia de Efraín, Y los que hostigan a Judá serán exterminados. Efraín no envidiará a Judá, Ni Judá hostigará a Efraín.

14 B ut they shall fly upon the shoulders of the Philistines toward the west; they shall spoil those of the east together; they shall lay their hand upon Edom and Moab; and the sons of Ammon shall obey them.

Ellos se lanzarán sobre el costado de los Filisteos al occidente, Juntos despojarán a los hijos del oriente. Edom y Moab estarán bajo su dominio, Y los Amonitas les estarán sujetos.

15 A nd the LORD shall utterly dry up the tongue of the Egyptian sea and shall raise his hand in the strength of his spirit upon the river and shall smite it into seven streams and make men go over dryshod.

Y el Señor destruirá La lengua del mar de Egipto. Agitará Su mano sobre el Río (Eufrates) Con Su viento abrasador; Lo partirá en siete arroyos Y hará que se pueda pasar en sandalias.

16 A nd there shall be a highway for the remnant of his people, which shall be left from Assyria like as it was for Israel in the day that he came up out of the land of Egypt.

Y habrá una calzada desde Asiria Para el remanente que quede de Su pueblo, Así como la hubo para Israel El día que subieron de la tierra de Egipto.
