1 ¶ And there shall come forth a rod out of the stem of Jesse, and a Branch shall grow out of his roots:

Y saldrá una vara del tronco de Jessé, y un renuevo retoñará de sus raíces.

2 A nd the Spirit of the LORD shall rest upon him, the Spirit of wisdom and understanding, the Spirit of counsel and might, the Spirit of knowledge and of the fear of the LORD,

Y reposará sobre él el Espíritu del SEÑOR, Espíritu de sabiduría y de inteligencia, Espíritu de consejo, y de fortaleza, Espíritu de conocimiento y de temor del SEÑOR;

3 a nd shall make him of quick olfaction in the fear of the LORD; and he shall not judge according to the sight of his eyes, neither reprove according to the hearing of his ears:

y le hará oler en el temor del SEÑOR. No juzgará según la vista de sus ojos; ni argüirá por lo que oyeren sus oídos.

4 B ut with righteousness shall he judge the poor and reprove with equity for the meek of the earth; and he shall smite the earth with the rod of his mouth, and with the spirit of his lips he shall slay the wicked.

Sino que juzgará con justicia a los pobres, y argüirá con equidad por los mansos de la tierra; y herirá la tierra con la vara de su boca, y con el espíritu de sus labios matará al impío.

5 A nd righteousness shall be the girdle of his loins, and faith the girdle of his kidneys.

Y será la justicia cinto de sus lomos, y la fe cinto de sus riñones.

6 T he wolf shall dwell with the lamb, and the leopard shall lie down with the kid; and the calf and the young lion and the fatling together; and a child shall shepherd them.

Morará el lobo con el cordero, y el tigre con el cabrito se acostará; el becerro y el león y la bestia doméstica andarán juntos, y un niño los pastoreará.

7 T he cow and the bear shall feed; their young ones shall lie down together: and the lion shall eat straw like the ox.

La vaca y la osa pacerán, sus crías se echarán juntas; y el león como el buey comerá paja.

8 A nd the sucking child shall play on the hole of the asp, and the weaned child shall put his hand on the cockatrice’ den.

Y el niño jugará sobre la cueva del áspid; y el recién destetado extenderá su mano sobre la caverna del basilisco.

9 T hey shall not hurt nor destroy in all my holy mountain: for the earth shall be full of the knowledge of the LORD, as the waters cover the sea.

No harán mal, ni dañarán en todo mi santo Monte; porque la tierra será llena del conocimiento del SEÑOR, como las aguas cubren el mar.

10 ¶ And it shall be in that day that the Root of Jesse, who shall be lifted up as a banner, as an example to the Gentiles shall be sought by the Gentiles; and his Kingdom of peace shall be glorious.

Y acontecerá en aquel tiempo, que la Raíz de Jessé, la cual estará puesta por bandera como ejemplo a los gentiles, será buscada de los gentiles; y su Reino de paz será glorioso.

11 A nd it shall come to pass in that day that the Lord shall return to set his hand again to possess the remnant of his people which were left from Assyria and from Egypt and from Pathros and from Cush and from Elam and from Shinar and from Hamath and from the islands of the sea.

Y acontecerá en aquel tiempo, que el SEÑOR tornará a poner otra vez su mano, para poseer el remanente de su pueblo que fue dejado de Assur, de Egipto, de Patros, de Etiopía, de Elam, de Caldea, de Hamat, y de las islas del mar.

12 A nd he shall raise up a banner, as an example for the Gentiles and shall assemble the outcasts of Israel and gather together the dispersed of Judah from the four corners of the earth.

Y levantará bandera como ejemplo a los gentiles, y juntará los desterrados de Israel, y reunirá los esparcidos de Judá de los cuatro cantones de la tierra.

13 T he envy also of Ephraim shall depart, and the adversaries of Judah shall be cut off; Ephraim shall not envy Judah, and Judah shall not vex Ephraim.

Y se disipará la envidia de Efraín, y los enemigos de Judá serán talados. Efraín no tendrá envidia contra Judá, ni Judá afligirá a Efraín;

14 B ut they shall fly upon the shoulders of the Philistines toward the west; they shall spoil those of the east together; they shall lay their hand upon Edom and Moab; and the sons of Ammon shall obey them.

mas volarán sobre los hombros de los filisteos al occidente; saquearán a los de oriente; Edom y Moab les servirán, y los hijos de Amón les darán obediencia.

15 A nd the LORD shall utterly dry up the tongue of the Egyptian sea and shall raise his hand in the strength of his spirit upon the river and shall smite it into seven streams and make men go over dryshod.

Y secará el SEÑOR la lengua del mar de Egipto; y levantará su mano con fortaleza de su espíritu sobre el Río, y lo herirá en siete riberas, y hará que pasen por él con zapatos.

16 A nd there shall be a highway for the remnant of his people, which shall be left from Assyria like as it was for Israel in the day that he came up out of the land of Egypt.

Y habrá camino para el remanente de su pueblo, lo que quedó de Assur, de la manera que lo hubo para Israel el día que subió de la tierra de Egipto.
