1 ¶ Then we turned, and went up the way to Bashan; and Og the king of Bashan, came out against us, he and all his people, to battle at Edrei.

¶ Y volvimos, y subimos camino de Basán, y nos salió al encuentro Og rey de Basán para pelear, él y todo su pueblo, en Edrei.

2 A nd the LORD said unto me, Fear him not, for I have delivered him and all his people and his land into thy hand, and thou shalt do unto him as thou didst unto Sihon, king of the Amorites, who dwelt at Heshbon.

Y me dijo el SEÑOR: No tengas temor de él, porque en tu mano lo he entregado junto con todo su pueblo, y su tierra; y harás con él como hiciste con Sehón rey amorreo, que habitaba en Hesbón.

3 S o the LORD our God delivered into our hand Og also, the king of Bashan, and all his people, and we smote him until none was left to him remaining.

Y el SEÑOR nuestro Dios entregó también en nuestra mano a Og rey de Basán, y a todo su pueblo, al cual herimos hasta no quedar de él ninguno.

4 A nd we took all his cities at that time there was not a city which we did not take from them, sixty cities, all the region of Argob, of the kingdom of Og in Bashan.

Y tomamos entonces todas sus ciudades; no quedó ciudad que no les tomáramos; sesenta ciudades, toda la región de Argob, del reino de Og en Basán.

5 A ll these cities were fenced with high walls, gates, and bars besides a great many unwalled towns.

Todas éstas eran ciudades fortalecidas con alto muro, con puertas y barras; sin contar muchas ciudades sin muro.

6 A nd we utterly destroyed them, as we did unto Sihon, king of Heshbon, utterly destroying every city, men, women, and children.

Y las destruimos, como hicimos a Sehón rey de Hesbón, destruyendo toda ciudad, hombres, mujeres, y niños.

7 B ut all the beasts and the spoil of the cities, we took for a prey to ourselves.

Y tomamos para nosotros todas las bestias, y los despojos de las ciudades.

8 A nd we also took at that time out of the hand of the two kings of the Amorites the land that was on this side of the Jordan, from the river of Arnon unto Mount Hermon

También tomamos en aquel tiempo de mano de los dos reyes amorreos que estaban a este lado del Jordán, la tierra desde el arroyo de Arnón hasta el monte de Hermón.

9 ( which Hermon the Sidonians call Sirion and the Amorites call it Shenir) and

(Los sidonios llaman a Hermón Sirión; y los amorreos, Senir.)

10 a ll the cities of the plain and all Gilead and all Bashan unto Salchah and Edrei, cities of the kingdom of Og in Bashan.

Todas las ciudades de la llanura, y todo Galaad, y todo Basán hasta Salca y Edrei, ciudades del reino de Og en Basán.

11 F or only Og, king of Bashan, had remained of the remnant of giants; behold, his bedstead was a bedstead of iron; is it not in Rabbath of the sons of Ammon? Nine cubits was the length thereof and four cubits the breadth of it, after the cubit of a man.

Porque sólo Og rey de Basán había quedado del resto de los gigantes. He aquí su cama, una cama de hierro, ¿no está en Rabá de los hijos de Amón? La longitud de ella de nueve codos, y su anchura de cuatro codos, al codo de un hombre.

12 ¶ And this land, which we inherited at that time, from Aroer, which is by the river Arnon, and half of Mount Gilead and the cities thereof, I gave unto the Reubenites and to the Gadites.

¶ Y esta tierra que heredamos entonces desde Aroer, que está junto al arroyo de Arnón, y la mitad del monte de Galaad con sus ciudades, di a los rubenitas y a los gaditas;

13 A nd the rest of Gilead and all Bashan (fertile ground), being the kingdom of Og, gave I unto the half tribe of Manasseh: all the region of Argob, with all Bashan, which was called the land of giants.

y el resto de Galaad, y toda Basán, del reino de Og, lo di a la media tribu de Manasés; toda la región de Argob, todo Basán, que se llamaba la tierra de los gigantes.

14 J air, the son of Manasseh, took all the country of Argob unto the border of Geshuri and Maachathi and called them after his own name, Bashanhavothjair, unto this day.

Jair hijo de Manasés tomó toda la tierra de Argob hasta el término de Gesur y Maaca; y la llamó por su nombre Basán-havot-jair, hasta hoy.

15 A nd I gave Gilead unto Machir.

Y a Maquir di a Galaad.

16 A nd unto the Reubenites and unto the Gadites I gave from Gilead even unto the river Arnon, half the valley for a border even unto the river Jabbok, which is the border of the sons of Ammon,

Y a los rubenitas y gaditas di de Galaad hasta el arroyo de Arnón, el medio del arroyo por término; hasta el arroyo de Jaboc, término de los hijos de Amón.

17 t he plain also and the Jordan and the border thereof from Chinnereth even unto the sea of the plain, even the salt sea, under Ashdothpisgah eastward.

Asimismo la campiña, y el Jordán, y el término, desde Cineret hasta el mar del llano, el mar Salado, las vertientes abajo del Pisga al oriente.

18 A nd I commanded you at that time, saying, The LORD your God has given you this land to possess it; ye shall pass armed before your brethren, the sons of Israel, all that are valiant.

Y os mandé entonces, diciendo: El SEÑOR vuestro Dios os ha dado esta tierra para que la poseáis; pasaréis armados delante de vuestros hermanos los hijos de Israel todos los valientes.

19 O nly your wives and your little ones and your livestock (for I know that ye have much livestock) shall abide in your cities which I have given you

Solamente vuestras mujeres, vuestros niños, y vuestros ganados, ( yo sé que tenéis mucho ganado,) quedarán en vuestras ciudades que os he dado,

20 u ntil the LORD has given rest unto your brethren, as well as unto you, and until they also inherit the land which the LORD your God has given them beyond the Jordan; then shall ye return each man unto his possession, which I have given you.

hasta que el SEÑOR dé reposo a vuestros hermanos, como a vosotros, y hereden también ellos la tierra que el SEÑOR vuestro Dios les da al otro lado del Jordán; entonces os volveréis cada uno a su heredad que yo os he dado.

21 ¶ And I also commanded Joshua at that time, saying, Thine eyes have seen all that the LORD your God has done unto these two kings, so shall the LORD do unto all the kingdoms where thou passest.

¶ Mandé también a Josué entonces, diciendo: Tus ojos vieron todo lo que el SEÑOR vuestro Dios ha hecho a aquellos dos reyes; así hará el SEÑOR a todos los reinos a los cuales pasarás tú.

22 Y e shall not fear them, for the LORD your God, he shall fight for you.

No los temáis; que el SEÑOR vuestro Dios, él es el que pelea por vosotros.

23 A nd I besought the LORD at that time, saying,

Y oré al SEÑOR en aquel tiempo, diciendo:

24 O Lord GOD, thou hast begun to show thy slave thy greatness and thy mighty hand; for what God is there in heaven or in earth that can do according to thy works and according to thy mighty acts?

Señor DIOS, tú has comenzado a mostrar a tu siervo tu grandeza, y tu mano fuerte; porque ¿qué dios hay en el cielo ni en la tierra que haga según tus obras, y según tus valentías?

25 I pray thee, let me go over and see that good land that is beyond the Jordan, that goodly mountain and Lebanon.

Pase yo ahora, te ruego, y vea aquella tierra buena, que está al otro lado del Jordán, aquel buen monte, y el Líbano.

26 B ut the LORD was angry with me for your sakes and would not hear me, and the LORD said unto me, Let it suffice thee; speak no more unto me of this matter.

Mas el SEÑOR se había enojado contra mí por causa de vosotros, por lo cual no me oyó; y me dijo el SEÑOR: Basta, no me hables más de este negocio.

27 C limb up into the top of Pisgah and lift up thine eyes westward and towards the Aquilon and towards the Negev and eastward and behold it with thine eyes, for thou shalt not go over this Jordan.

Sube a la cumbre del Pisga, y alza tus ojos al occidente, al aquilón, al mediodía, y al oriente, y ve por tus ojos; porque no pasarás este Jordán.

28 B ut charge Joshua and encourage him and comfort him, for he shall go over before this people, and he shall cause them to inherit the land which thou shalt see.

Y manda a Josué, anímale, y confórtale; porque él ha de pasar delante de este pueblo, y él les hará heredar la tierra que verás.

29 S o we abode in the valley over against Bethpeor.

Y paramos en el valle delante de Bet-peor.
