1 ¶ In my distress I cried unto the LORD, and he answered me.

2 D eliver my soul, O LORD, from lying lips and from a deceitful tongue.

Libra mi alma, oh SEÑOR, del labio mentiroso, de la lengua engañosa.

3 W hat shall be given unto thee? or what shall be done unto thee, thou false tongue?

¿Qué te dará a ti, o qué te añadirá la lengua engañosa?

4 S harp arrows of the mighty, with coals of juniper.

Agudas saetas de valiente, con brasas de enebro.

5 ¶ Woe is me, that I sojourn in Mesech, that I dwell in the tents of Kedar!

¶ ¡Ay de mí, que peregrino en Mesec, y habito con las tiendas de Cedar!

6 M y soul has long dwelt with those that hate peace.

Mucho se detiene mi alma con los que aborrecen la paz.

7 I am for peace; but when I speak, they are for war.

Yo soy pacífico; y cuando hablo, ellos guerrean.
